Oliver and Rico did a great tidy job installing our 22 solar panels.

Twisted my arm into paying a hefty deposit, cancelled twice and didn’t show up on the third visit. Bank confirmed the company is fraudulent! Goes by the name lmfpaintinganddecorating services.

CON MAN!!!!
DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!
TOOK MY HUSBANDS MONEY AND NOW HAS BEEN IGNORING HIM.

We heard about this company through word of mouth! We checked “recent” work on Facebook and met with Levi. Like reviews say, initially he seems charming UNTIL he has your money!

Levi has laid two patios in our garden and was supposed to lay some artficial grass too! When asking Levi to check a few things, he says these are “snagging” issues and will be dealt with at the end! The man literally had an answer for everything! There are lots of gaps in the slabs around the edges of the patio, which he claims are for drainage.

We take a closer look at our patio and after two weeks the slabs are starting to move and are loose. My partner
inspected the patios further and can actually lift up every single slab without any force. After speaking about this, Levi told us that it is fine and once they put a layer of cement around the edges of the patio “everything will lock into place” and the tiles won’t move anymore. Throughout the process with Levi, we heard nothing but poor excuses and lies. After this happened, enough was enough and we couldn’t continue with the excuses anymore. We asked Levi not to return.

After reading reviews later (an error on our part) everything that is written is true! Poor excuses, cutting corners and absolutely shocking work.

Please, please do NOT use this company! I have now lost £4000 and have nothing to show. Had a landscaper out to us and we now have to remove all the patio slabs and start the work all over again!

Unfortunately, we’ve learned a very hard lesson and lost a lot of money. But we wanted to leave this review to warn people to not make the same mistakes as us!

If I could leave no stars at all I would! A real awful experience!

Lmf are a very good company very professional ,The wall insulation team Dave, Tim And Paul did a brilliant job left the house spotless and nothing was to much trouble for them good lads and very friendly.
Electricians, Plumbers heat source installers, solar panel installers and scaffolders fast and very efficient all went well from start to finish i would highly recommend LMF.

LMF have just replaced batons, felted and related my roof. Where possible they reused existing slates. They organised the putting up and taking down of scaffolding efficiently. They explained what work they were carrying out coherently. They discussed key decisions about barge boards. They did a marvellous job of cleaning up afterwards, jet washing slates, drive, windows and doors. Super pleasant team to deal with. Highly recommended.

Our Project began in April 2024 and at the start of July 2024 we terminated our contract with immediate effect due to the project being progressed to only 40%.

We asked Levi to come out and quote us for removal of an old garage, approximately 120sqm of natural stone laying, and a rear shed base approximately 45sqm. Prior to accepting the quote, we asked him about the negative reviews he had. He was quick to justify each one of them and deflect these back on the clients. DO NOT BELIEVE HIS REASONINGS.

So there was an initial delay of approximately 3 Business days due to a skip being on the drive, even though there was sufficient space to access the garden around the Skip. This delay was encountered on the first week of the project. Everytime we contacted Levi, he stated that the above delay was the reason for works not progressing. Having consulted 2 other landscapers regarding this delay and the workmanship completed, they advised that this was utter nonsense and that the time could have been made up and the project completed by now.

We also asked Levi to remove rubbish from the property relating to the project, however was never removed even after being paid to do this.

We persistently asked Levi and staff to ensure the drive was cover with protective sheets to prevent damage, however this was ignored and after having the aggregates removed from the drive, it is apparent how much damage has been caused to your driveway.

Having consulted 2 other landscapers, they advised the following:

1. Any delay especially of that of around 3 business days would not lead to a project remaining incomplete to date
2. Damp course levels would have been breached on the final levels achieved from paving.
3. The aggregates (Hardcore & Topsoil) used were not of quality for paving. It was confirmed and demonstrated that the product used was recycled materials which included rubber, branches and shards of glass.
4. The quality of work for the reclaimed slab base was not to an acceptable workmanship. slabs laid with poor mixture which has led to slabs moving and the slabs not aligning at the front of the base.

We have had to cut our losses and resort to starting the project from scratch with another Landscaper who has ripped up all of the works completed and installed quality hardcore and topsoil for the base of the landscaping. We were not going to be having any lawn related works other than it to be restored/ refurbished however have been advised that LMF Services have ruined the original grass and will need to be reinstalled.

We strongly recommend that anyone wanting to have any landscaping work avoid Levi and LMF Services at all costs.

If you do for any reason decide to go with Levi and LMF Services please expect endless excuses such as:

1. Staff being of sick
2. Tyre puncture on the trailer
3. Van requiring service
4. Fever after working in the rain although being advised not continue work in such conditions.
5. Receiving the blame for causing an injury because you have contacted them
6. Be asked to contact only during working hours as he is busy at work, but when you do, your calls will be ignored and messages read and not responded to or calls rejected however a text message exchange stating he is driving and unable to talk but able to have a conversation over text messages (illegal)
7. Being told that they will be on site and not turn up at all without notice.
8. Being chased for payments for works completed even though the phase completion has not been achieved.

Poor customer service, poor communication, poor quality of workmanship, poor quality of materials, lack of communication, lack of professionalism is some of the points that come to mind.

Initially, Levi is charming and his business photos look good, but in reality expect poor workmanship, cheap materials, poor finishes, failure to turn up, endless excuses and dire communication. His four phase payment sees him disappear by phase 2 having had 50% of the money. Then come the excuses such as resting his back/legs, constant illness, broken van, doesn't work weekends, in the rain or on B/H.
He cut down our trellis panels and bodged a repair to enable the gate to open, he’d failed to cement the gate post in!
He filled the uneven gaps around patio with wood and lightly covered with slate. The hardcore was described by two other landscapers as rubble and not fit for purpose, and our disabled dog was left to hobble on this for 4 months. He took my 100, 2x2 slabs to sell for himself and refused to return them and 5 months on my garden is horrendous. Slabs already moving. We wasted £4K, so save your money and mental health. After using Levi's a few years ago we asked him back to do our patio. We had a great quote and expectation of time line was "a long weekend"
Levi doesn't work in the rain so after a couple of weeks of no shows or half day works he finally finished it after a few weeks.
Communication was bad, in that he only messaged on THE DAY he wasn't coming so I couldn't plan my day.
I still have snagging issues and it's been months, will he sort them? I doubt it.
In summary Levi is capable of doing some good work but in his own time and doesn't fix any problems once you've paid him.

AVOID at all costs he will lie and rip you off. He insisted to pay in stages which sounds great until you realise you paid 2 or 3 payment without the main work been carried out he will leave that till the last payment by at which time you sucked in and have no choose but to continue as you paid most of the money. He did 2 phase but only doing 2.5hr per day then pissed off lies and made up excuses why he couldn’t not come and went as far as making up a a sob story about his life and the pain his in. He left me with rubble on my patio for weeks day anns in safe for my dog. Day after day I took off work and no show. He finally came back and the work is shocking patio sloping wrong direction massive gaps round edges which he claims for drainage this is not the case you only need drainage where the water runs to on 1 edge don’t fall for this lie he just can’t be arsed to cut the slabs in and then asked for more money to fill with stone. He raises my patio that much it’s dangerous and trip hazard and dose not connect to my original slabs looks awful. To top it off he helped himself to my tools and broke my rake and took my brand new buckets to fill with cement when questioned he passed it off as mistake there was no mistake they was bright yellow brand new and in my backyard. He never returned my stuff just took it. Please please read the reviews don’t fall for this guys he will rip you off and leave you after 2 phases and not return for weeks.

The wife got a quote off Levi after seeing his work online and also recommendations from son. He came around seemed profession and pleasant, gave quotes and outlined work need to lay a 50m2 patio. He stated would be in four fazes with a quarter payment after each phase. 1. removal of old patio and levelling of ground. 2. hardcore, drainage and relocate fence. 3. First half of patio. 4. Second part of patio and finish. All well and good. This was early March 2024. Work started in March 2024 all going well in phase one. Old patio up and removed from site, strange we thought as we had asked to keep so wife could sell but we went with it as little room to store around property. Earth dug out and fence removed. Now we have three dogs, thus the reason for extending patio as they tend to dig up everything and so we fenced off the garden so they would stay on patio. With the fence now down, the dogs had free reign over garden. Levi said not to worry be back to do phase 2 asap. three weeks later he finally turns up after many messages and calls from wife. hard core laid and off he goes again. No drains and no other work. So no we have hardcore and three dogs running riot and no Levi for months. General excuses being, arm rest day, leg rest day, workers ill, its raining, its too wet, I have a schedule you know, I don't work Saturday, I don't work weekend, I don't work bank holidays. Things come to a head and wife contacted and sacked him and said we would go to trading standards. Immediate response of I'm working around the corner I will be with you in 10 minutes to discuss. This was a Saturday so I'm guessing it was just us he never works Saturdays for. We had got other trades in to price up remainder of job but all wanted what we had originally been quoted as they said the work was that bad they would not be happy to lay paving on top of it and so we would need to start from scratch. No I understood the phased payment side of the deal as in effect you are now held to ransom unless you want to just write off the money already spent.
Phase 3 was carried out late May 2024 with his then disapearing again with the same excuses until just over a week ago when he returned to finish the job. With this was strict instructions to not walk on patio for 48 hours and do not let dogs on for 36. Understandable we thought so as to allow to dry and set. Unfortunately I feel other factors were at play for this instruction. It prevented us from seeing all the errors until two days after completion and time for Levi to disappear again.
So to a list of the errors:
Stonework not completed by back door, empty gaps either side of door and top step not even slabbed at all.
Patio not washed off after instillation of Joint Tec product and putting in place plumb slate around edges. So now all plumb slate covered in joint tec which is unsightly and will take months to disperse. Joint Tec is also come out of some of the gaps in the paving and the cement is now exposed.
Gatepost in fence cut too short and not cemented in at all. Dogs pushed it over in first day on patio.
Gate doesn't close properly even with post upright. One panel cut down to fit gap, which we never gave permission for as they are £90 a panel and even with this the gate doesn't shut correctly. So he bodged a job to get it to fit and it still doesn't work.
Wood and debris from phase 1 excavation used to bulk up depth of edging so as to use less plumb stone. We have removed a full carrier bag of wood so far from one side.
Electric cable for summerhouse in garden left exposed on top of plumb slate. Why this wasn't buried is beyond me as we told Levi we have a dog that will chew everything as its a puppy but still was left exposed.
Drains not installed correctly. Sections not clicked together correctly so there are ridges that will build up blockages over time. One drain just runs off to the soil and is 3cm below level of patio and the other has no gradient and so water just sits in it. This does flow into a drain through the hole smashed into the drain with a hammer.
Throughout Levi would tell my wife one thing and me another. It got to the point I wanted nothing to do with him and my wife dealt with everything.
I have emailed him asking for an explanation but in over two weeks, had no response.
When asked about these issues by my wife he got aggressive and abusive stating he would be bringing our rubbish back and he is done with us. When asked about the 50 slabs he had removed he ignored the issue then blocked my wife. My wife has since seen slab very similar to our old ones in size and paint marks for sale on his site.
He will say, as he has on other reviews that its all lies but I'm happy to show any who wish to see and I have nothing to hide.
In hindsight, I wish we had never met the man and even more regret giving him £4000. I would not ask that man back to change a toilet roll let alone anything else.

Saw the reviews and decided not to judge the company, however been waiting for a quote from Levi for a month now. Waste of time. Reviews seem correct.

Avoid! Destroyed my garden… he’s a scam

Avoid like the plague.please don't make the same mistake as me and read all reviews.Levi will come across very friendly once payment is done very difficult to get in touch. Constantly lying.He will not fix his mistakes and asked me to find another contractor.Do not waste your time and money!!!

Brilliant service from Levi, kept me updated continuously with the work and was honest and truthful throughout.
Myself and partner are amazed at how different our new garden looks!
His team are very hard working.
If you want someone that goes the extra mile then I would highly suggest Levi & his team.

Terrible communication no interest in resolving any problems they have caused be aware this isn’t a good company to deal with

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Levi started the work in our garden and then didn’t finish the job! Doesn’t answer calls and constantly saying the weather wasn’t great to complete the job!. He comes across very friendly at the beginning. once he starts the work and first payments are made he doesn’t complete the work. Constantly lying and saying he or the workers weren’t well!. Do not waste your time!

Stay Away. Don’t pay a penny until the job is fully complete. You’ll get the cheapest quote and the worst quality of work. Pay the extr money to someone reputed.
His Team is under 18/20 and with no experience. I had to repeatedly monitor the work and the quality was worse than anything i expected from a contractor. I stopped his team from smashed into the cement holding my canopy. Levi repeatedly cancelled on me last minute for over week with all sorts of excuses and didn’t come to continue the work. The contract completion was within the week whereas the job was 1/4 the way even after 4weeks.
He left the work unfinished and messy for 4weeks with no response on messages.

Had my garden redone from Levi and his team. Did a alright job, but upon closer inspection, you begin to realise how much they've cut corners.

- New sleepers were installed which rest against our grass, which looked great, however, no membrane was added, so now when it rains, one side of my lawn will always slope downwards because soil is coming out of the gaps of the sleepers.The sleepers where the grass and soil is resting is also showing signs of decay. A simple £10 membrane would have gone a long way to block the soil from seeping through.

- Asked for the lawn to be levelled because it was incredibly bumpy. They came back out almost 6 months later after chasing them up constantly. They ran their compactor on the lawn. Just did a dry run, and went on their way. Had zero impact on the lawn as the soil was bone dry, and didnt even bother to evaluate if the job was done correctly. Nothing but a tick box exercise with no care given.

- Sleepers have started to move out of their original position because they did not use any angled brackets. Literally 1 long screw and "hope for the best".

End result?

- Paid a new contractor to get some of the work redone i.e. levelling the grass with soil, compactor, and seeds.

- Removing/replacing some sleepers because they have rotted/no membrane added.

- Remove the soil from the sleepers to again, add a membrane and angled brackets to retain its shape.

Pathetic to say the least. I would've asked Levi to do the corrections, but if it takes him and his team 6 months to come out to do an awful job of lawn correction, why bother?

Had my garden done by LMF service, the finish product was amazing I keep getting compliments as to how good it looks, I truly recommend Levi and his team, I can see why he has so much demand for his service definitely worth booking in advance to get the best result
