I ordered car with automatic…
I ordered car with automatic transmission (through booking/carrental), because 5 months ago I broke my left leg (2 broken bones), had surgery and was not sure that I will be able to drive car with manual gearbox. But when I came to your booth received info that I will get car with manual gearbox... And women said that you dont take care what your partners sell. How to understand that??? Why you did not declined order from carrentals for automatic gearbox if you did not had such car? You work like scammers. The car was ok, almost. Screen wash was empty, in mornings I had to wash front window with water.

Locauto does not care for its customers
i had made a booking in may through the Locauto website (not paid on the spot) but then found a better price through a broker so i made a second booking that i did paid for . i tried to cancel the first booking but that was not possible unless i called their call center .
when i arrived at the counter the lady gave me the car for the first booking and took the money a second time. when i observed the mistake i said to them its fine, i am ok with that but for them to refund the booking makde through the broker as its still with locauto, same duration, same airport. they said i must contact the broker , which is nonsense as tboth bookings are with them. Basically they took the money twice and did not care. last time i book with them.

To avoid duplicate bookings and confusion at the counter, we always ask our customers to present their specific booking voucher or reservation number upon arrival.
Regarding the payment made through the broker: our counter staff cannot directly alter, cancel, or refund bookings made through third-party platforms. When a prepaid booking is made via a broker, the financial transaction takes place between you and the broker, not directly with us as the supplier. For this reason, the refund request must be processed directly by contacting the broker's customer support team.
We truly regret the stress this situation caused you, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a much smoother and seamless experience.

Only the maintenance needs improvement, no water for the windows, warning tyre pressure (to high) and the cleaning of the car.

Good experience except for strange USA license rule?
Everything was great and the representative in Bergamo was nice and professional. We ran into one problem: I am a USA driver and I just renewed my license in April. The rental agent said he had to see a copy of my previous license which of course I had not with me?. It seems strange that no American can rent a car with Locauto if they have renewed their license in the same year they want to rent the car? It caused some unnecessary headache at pickup. Otherwise, everything was great; good car and easy drop off at VCE airport Thank you!

They made me pay for insurance again…
They made me pay for insurance again even though I had already paid for it through booking.com.
The oil level in the car was low, which is why the service light came on. I had to visit a service center to have the oil topped up at my expense.

Car changed with down great, no compensation
Book and make payment for Skoda actavia Estate (big car), onsite car has been changed to Peugeot 2009 (medium car) without any compensation. Because of long drive trip faced some problem and not convenience.

Booking process no issues
Even though the price is cheaper than the big companies Sixt,Hertz or Alamo etc there was no haggling, no hard sell on CDW or insurance.The return of the car was a breeze no spending ages looking for evey mark,scratch or dent by the Laucato member of staff.
Finally Return of the car needs to be made clear. We had trouble going to the correct P3 area and ended up in the main(big green lettering) P3 Parking area NOT car rental returns bay, which was a less obvious smaller sign.This was stressful as we were short on time to catch our flight.
