Loch Lomond Arms Rude And Unwelcoming

Loch Lomond Arms
⭐☆☆☆☆ –
⭐☆☆☆☆ – Shockingly rude and unprofessional.
We were staying across the road in a beautiful cottage celebrating a special birthday of our forever Friend and decided to book dinner at the Loch Lomond Arms.
At 4:30pm we booked a table for 5:30pm, told by a friendly server that we could wait in the lounge or beer garden until food service began.
Minutes later, the so-called manager barged into our group and bluntly declared, “We’re full, no more bookings.” No apology, no explanation, no courtesy whatsoever – despite us having already booked in. It was rude, humiliating and showed a complete lack of basic customer care.
This kind of arrogance and incompetence speaks volumes about how the place is run. We took our money elsewhere and enjoyed a fantastic meal with staff who actually know how to treat customers. Loch Lomond Arms lost more than our booking – they lost any chance of ever seeing us again.

Perfection!

I very rarely feel motivated to leaving reviews, in fact they are typically reserved for complaints, but certainly not this time.
There’s a famous quote “There is no such thing as perfection, but in striving for perfection we can achieve excellence”.
The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel at Luss is clearly an exception. They have truly found the recipe and produced perfection. What a fabulous weekend we have just spent in its Loch Lomond Suite. The welcome upon arrival from Sophie at check-in, the fabulous service with a smile from all its friendly staff, the quality of furnishings throughout and the comfort of the beautiful 4-poster bed all contributed to such a wonderful stay. I could go on and on, recommending the delicious food – especially our breakfast – but why not try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

The perfect wedding all round!

Our wedding was at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, following multiple lovely visits for a winter drink, sunday family dinner and summer stop over... So this wasn't just about the wedding!
Kitty, Sophie and their teams made so much effort to ensure everything was perfect including having the resource to flip the wedding indoors for the ceremony when the weather threatened to put a dampener on our big day... The location is excellend, parking ample, accommodation more than comfortable and the costs are more than reasonable for prime Loch Lomond setting and great services... The food and drinks were excellent and staff genuinely looked to be enjoying themselves and contributing towards the postive look and feel we wanted. Our photos #morleywedding will reflect the beauty of the venue and positive experience we shared, as a result of hardworking and care / consideration. Thank you so much and we'll be back soon! - Matt & Rach

Over priced

Loch Lomond Arms Hotel is a lovely place to stay. Staff are very friendly & helpful & the food was delicious.
I was quite disappointed in our room though, when you see all these beautiful rooms on there website it was a let down to see ours especially for the coat of £230 a night! We had the Hamilton in the garden rooms.
With dinner & our room we spent well over £350 for one night & just think it's over priced

Rip off

Rip off
Thought beautiful place.
2 burgers and Mc Donalds chips and 2 coke £50 and a service charge almost £5.
The staff were ok but seemed fed up. Definitely will not be back. Horrible atmosphere.
Just out to rip people off in my opinion.

Popped over for lunch last Saturday and…

Popped over for lunch last Saturday and was told they had a half hour waiting no problem however no where to sit for a drink, approached different staff member and was given a table which we were grateful for. However after that the service was very very slow for the amount of staff on the floor and would appear to lack direction I would add that all were very pleasant so down to management for better training.
Have been in various establishments lately both down south and up here and the hospitality industry lacks training, I know some may say Covid gave the industry a major problem but it doesn't take a "good" manager long to show young staff how it should be done.
Would go back as the food was good and to see if there is an improvement.

Poor customer service

Review
Poor experience here. Ordered drinks in the bar, server dropped the card machine and thought that my payment hasn’t gone through so asked me to pay again on another machine. Upon realising that both payments had gone through I contacted loch Lomond arms for a refund, spoke with both the head receptionist and general manager who started different procedures for being able to receive my refund as well as being unapologetic for the mistake, poor communication skills and generally really unhelpful and defensive. I have emailed a bank screen shot as requested by the general manager for their attention, however have not received any response or the refund. Unfortunately I do not live in the area to go in person to rectify this. Obviously the original mistake is understandable and it’s not a huge sum of money, but the on going customer service very poor and ultimately I have paid twice for something which I shouldn’t have. In would not recommend based on this experience.

Unhygienic

Unhygienic, rotten and overpriced.
Unfriendly staff behind the bar and place is very dirty needing a good clean.
Massive hair through my partners food which the manager Alistair couldn't be less interested and sarcastic.
Shame because this is a nice setting but would recommend to avoid.

Loch Lomond Arms - Luss

We were travelling from Portsmouth to the Western Isles and pulled into Luss for a rest, and by chance stumbled on the Loch Lomond Arms. We found a great welcoming hostelry. Our room was clean and very comfortable. To be able to relax in a bath was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and put our bags in the room while we had tea in the library relaxing for a minute. That evening we had supper in the restaurant and enjoyed some great food that was well presented in a warm and cheerful atmosphere with helpful staff ( I enjoyed the mussels). Breakfast was excellant. I can recomend the scrambled eggs, smoked salmond on sourdough with pea shoots. Thank you Loch Lomond Arms for a great stay.

Lovely bar /restuarant area..but DONT book the afternoon tea

The bar are was cosy and very interesting however afternoon tea was a big dissapointment. Staff were a bit sullen perhaps because they seemed short staffed. Dry scones, no sideplates and no tea top up. Sandwich choice was not great (none of us liked smoked salmon so they were all wasted), but no one thought to ask beforehand. Def not worth £15

Ten Minutes WiFi !

Staff are very helpful, atmos is good, food is good but a little expensive. But most annoying is the free WiFi. Some numpty decided 10 minutes of free wifi is all you're getting! Strange decision. I spent over £60 on a meal and a drink and the management couldn't spare a few extra minutes of WiFi.
I wonder if they charge extra if you spend more than 10 minutes in the toilet !?
