Doctors think they know it all
I came in with a couple of blisters on my lower legs as I thought I was bitten. Dr. Jocelyne Tedajo told me I had bad circulation and onset of varicose veins. She said they will only get worse and later on there is surgery or laser treatment.
For the blisters she said NOTHING but antibiotics will work which she made me buy there and then. And for the circulation she recommended wearing daily compression socks FOREVER! I left feeling depressed. I threw out the antibiotics in the next bin, went to buy some tea tree oil - applied it twice a day for a week and blisters and red marks have gone!
I also booked some deep tissue massages to deal with the circulation. I will NOT need to wear compression socks.
It is a shambles how doctors talk to patients in a 15 mns consultations. Maybe a better way would be to say to discuss this further with your GP. I found her overconfident. Many doctors think they know it all. I suggest to Dr. Jocelyne Tedajo learns how not to give antibiotics for everything and to not depress her patients - but to explore various solutions.
Very disappointing.
