Keeps losing connection and doesn't work for E7…
Keeps losing connection and all previous data is lost. Doesn't work with dual tariff meters, so cannot calculate the actual costs. It really isn't hard to incorporate dual rate tariffs in these systems so why hasn't it been done.
In response to Loops response. You have had plenty of time to implement the calculation of costs for tou tariffs. E7 must be very easy so why not start with that?
Imagine the chaos if the energy providers found it so hard to calculate bills based on E7 tariffs accurately.

Superb
Great app, I like seeing exactly how much energy I'm using and how much it costs me.
Loop gives me updates which are more accurate than my IHD or the Octopus app.
A completely unusable app
A completely unusable app. Account set-up was fine. Then tried to add my tariff, asks you to pick your supplier from a list, but no list, just a blank screen. Absolutely no support of any kind available either in the app on on the website. A pointless waste of an hour.

The Loop Energy app just works well
The Loop Energy app just works well. Provides useful data, quite unlike my SMETS1 IHD, which is next to useless and I have not used it almost since the meter was first installed. The app provides detailed info going back a year so can be used to do a year to year comparison if you record the readings. I do it monthly and we have saved between 10 and 20% of energy most months, just by turning off unnecessary lights etc.
LOOP saved me £540!
My IHD has developed a fault. It repeats the same 7-day history every day, ignoring the previous days actual consumption. It has been stuck in this loop for 6-months. Scottish Power wants me to pay £540 for new SMETS2 meters and a new IHD. LOOP solves the problem by replacing the IHD and with more useful data.
Great app
Great app. As previous reviewers have said provides more information than standard smart meter. Easy to set up and very intuitive. Would highly recommend.
Useful applinks to smart meters
Useful applinks to smart meters. Showed a decent amount of historical data which helps in tracking usage and comparing.
Fab idea
Fab idea great they have DCC licence much better than a PPMID
I found it easy to install and set up…
I found it easy to install and set up (electricity only). It gives a better breakdown than the standard smart meter. Also find it more reliable as my smart meter often freezes
As I have solar panels i would have loved to be able to monitor how much electricity I am producing as well, but perhaps that will come in time.
Definitely worth the cost (free!)
Very Useful App
Up and running for both gas and electricity gives great information on usage and cost, much better than the energy supplier smart meter app.
An amazingly wonderful app
My smart meters are well out of range of the devices provided by my energy supplier. It has frustrated me loads, then l stumbled across this app. I have no idea how it works but it is wonderful. I think it's near real time, gives details of consumption in an easy to consume format. It got me thinking about changing my energy habit and the ghost energy measure is truly ingenious. I don't think l have ever had as much praise for an app as l do this one.
Loop is a fantastic app for finding out…
Loop is a fantastic app for finding out all you need to know about you’re electric and gas usage per day and per month to make you more aware of you’re carbon footprint and to save you money by showing you when you are using the most energy and then you can work out why and change timings of appliances and get out of habits and change to new energy saving ones. It’s the best if you have an electric car as it shows you exactly how much it costs immediately to charge it and with solar panels it tells you if it’s all free or you’ve used some electricity from the grid. So good I look at it every day to see if I can get my savings down further. Using LED lights saves so much and putting less water in the kettle are little things that save a lot. If it gives off heat it costs you more is my mantra now. Thank you loop for educating me in saving energy, money and the environment. 5* APP
Useful app
Took a while to be up and running with both gas and electricity, gas didn’t show until about 3 weeks after electricity, but all good now.
It gives you more information than your smart meter and the notifications you receive are full of useful advice.
It's the type of app you won’t delete after a few weeks and it certainly focuses you on energy management
Home Energy consumption with hints and tips on your mobile device
Loop is a great app that allows you to monitor your energy consumption from your mobile device without the need for a smart display. A smart meter is required but having access on your mobile device is a real bonus. In addition loop gives valuable recommendations on how to save energy. I find daily and monthly comparisons extremely useful.

An app I didn’t know I needed
An app I didn’t know I needed. But..
so, I installed it at behest of Amazon. I’m not sure why. It does work on Alexa but I then installed the iOS app which was a revelation.
So much more information than I get from my supplier or the smart meter itself (software only works with compatible meters, but I get the impression that’s a wide range).
The app identified my “phantom” electricity use very high. I’ve made some compromises and, as a result, seem to be saving around £18 a month.
As I don’t earn much, that is really significant (plus damaging our burning world a bit less).
When I’ve asked questions, I’ve had sensible and speedy responses.
Within the app and by occasional email (can turn that off) are many useful tips. Some models solar panels etc with potential savings - no use to me as am in leaky cold and damp rented house.

Very easy to use and I can track my electricity and see how much it’s going to cost me every month
Very nice piece of software
Very nice piece of software, which for some reason can still get 30 min data when the Smart meter will not communicate with the energy providers 🙄
You can build in a test run of what some basic solar panel and battery configurations will provide compared to demand.
I believe they would love to to be given access to export data but the necessary permission has yet to be granted.
