Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 120 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers reported significant delays and difficulties when trying to withdraw their winnings, often describing the process as unfair and feeling their money was withheld. People frequently mentioned being asked for numerous documents for verification, even after initial submissions, which caused frustration and further delays in receiving funds. The website itself was often criticized for being slow, not user-friendly, and prone to glitches, with some users experiencing issues like games loading slowly or being logged out unexpectedly. Customer service was also a major point of dissatisfaction, with many reviewers finding support unhelpful, unresponsive, or providing generic answers, leading to unresolved issues. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with their experience, noting quick withdrawals after verification and smooth gameplay without lag or crashes.

    Absolutely ridiculous trying to…

Absolutely ridiculous trying to withdraw anything from this website. Not one ever website has ever asked for anything to withdraw such a small amount. £42!!!! This is the process I’d expect if I’d won £40,000. And it’s not standard as they keep spouting as, like I said, no other website has ever asked me for any of this. It’s usually an instant withdrawal paid out in the space of a couple of hours.

Sent the Apple transaction, the passport, the proof of address and they still keep asking for me. Things that seemingly don’t even exist. The Apple Card number only shows the last 4 digits of the card but apparently I need a unique number that isn’t anywhere!!!! Why do you need my bank card when it was deposited using Apple Pay and you’ve got a screenshot of that transaction?

I assume they do this to make it as hard as possible in the hopes you give up and let them keep your money. Terrible website. Will be, as others, reporting it to the relevant authority.

My partner has had to basically send of his dna, why do you need all this for £40?!

    Hello Jessica,

Thank you for sharing your concerns, and we are genuinely sorry that the withdrawal and verification process has left you feeling so frustrated — we can completely appreciate how discouraging that must be, especially for a relatively small amount.

We’d like to clarify why you were asked for these documents, as we understand it can feel excessive. As a UK-licensed operator, LuckyMate must follow strict rules set by the UK Gambling Commission, including confirming both the identity of the account holder and the payment method used — even for low-value withdrawals. These checks aren’t linked to the size of the withdrawal but to regulatory requirements aimed at preventing fraud, protecting players, and ensuring funds are paid out to the legitimate account owner.

Apple Pay can sometimes add an extra layer of complexity because it masks card details. When this happens, we can verify the payment method in alternative ways — for example, a bank statement showing the Apple Pay transaction is normally enough. If something we requested wasn’t clear or felt impossible to provide, our team absolutely should guide you on what acceptable alternatives look like.

To be clear, this process is not designed to delay or discourage withdrawals. Once a payment method has been verified, you won’t have to repeat these steps for future withdrawals made to the same method.

To help us locate your account and discuss the details privately, could you please email us from your registered email address at support@luckymate.co.uk with your Trustpilot username? Please title your email 'Trustpilot Contact - Jessica Ring'.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to resolving this issue directly with you.

    Hello Claire,

Thank you for leaving a review. We’re pleased to hear your first withdrawal reached you quickly, but we’re sorry that your more recent cash-out has felt slower.

In situations where we request a copy of a payment card, it’s because we must complete mandatory checks set by the UK Gambling Commission before releasing funds. These checks are not intended to delay your withdrawal — they’re simply required to confirm that the payment method belongs to the account holder. Once a card has been successfully verified, we won’t need to ask for the same information again for future withdrawals using that card.

If you’ve already uploaded the documents, our team will process them as soon as possible. If there’s anything missing or if we can speed things up for you, please get in touch with our Support Team at support@luckymate.co.uk. Please title your email 'Trustpilot Contact - Claire Carter'.

    Thumbs down.

Promotions are very dodgy and they don’t honour them. They gave me three different excuses why they wouldn’t credit spins.

Also, their deposit limits are dodgy. You can keep changing between week and month and it refreshes the limits. Not sure the gambling commission would approve.

And of course - as everyone says, the platform is fragile and is rarely glitch free.

EDIT: isn’t it funny that companies only want to appear to do the right thing when others are watching. They had ample chance to deal with my spins but they chose not to then, so I’m not bothering now.

    Dear Shaun,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your experience with LuckyMate hasn’t been positive.

Regarding the promotional spins, our offers always come with specific terms and qualifying criteria, and these need to be met before a bonus can be credited. That said, you absolutely shouldn’t receive conflicting explanations. We apologise if our communication wasn’t clear or consistent. Our support team can always review the account history and confirm whether the offer was eligible to be issued manually - though we understand from your edit that you’re not looking to revisit this, and that’s completely your choice.

About the deposit limit behaviour you described, please note that deposit limits are designed to help players manage their spending safely and must comply with UK Gambling Commission rules. They can be set on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, and any increase is subject to a 24-hour cool-off period.

We are aware that around the time your review was submitted, some users have encountered occasional glitches or loading problems, which have now been fixed.

If you’d prefer not to reopen your support tickets, that’s entirely understandable, yet if you ever change your mind, we’d be more than happy to take another look at the promotional spins and address the concerns you’ve raised. You're welcome to reach us via live chat or by email at support@luckymate.co.uk

Thank you again for sharing your experience. Feedback like yours is genuinely valuable and helps us continue improving the service.

    Dear Player,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your time on our site.

We appreciate that it can be frustrating when you don’t see the outcome you expected, especially when playing higher stakes. However, all games on LuckyMate are operated by external game providers and use Random Number Generator (RNG) systems that are independently audited. This ensures every spin is produced at random. Additionally, each game displays its RTP (Return to Player) rate when opened, and these figures are verified under UK Gambling Commission regulations.

Although wins are possible, gambling will always involve risk, and results are never guaranteed. We always encourage players to treat gambling as entertainment rather than a way to make money.

If you would like us to review your account or explain how RNG and RTP work in more detail, our Support Team is here to help via live chat or at support@luckymate.co.uk.

    Dear Holly,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we’re sorry to hear that your experience with our platform was not a positive one.

We acknowledge that being logged out or disconnected can be frustrating. Our technical team continually monitors the site to improve loading speed and stability, and we appreciate you highlighting this as it helps us identify where further improvements are needed.

Regarding the verification process: as a UK Gambling Commission–licensed operator, we are legally required to verify player identity and payment methods before authorising any withdrawals. This forms part of mandatory anti–money laundering and player protection regulations, and although it can feel lengthy, it is in place to protect both our players and the security of their accounts.

We’re pleased to hear that your free spins resulted in a win and that your withdrawal was completed, but we’re sorry to learn that overall the experience didn’t meet your expectations.

    Dear JB,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve encountered with our Customer Support and withdrawal process.

As a UKGC-licensed operator, LuckyMate is required to verify both a player’s identity and the payment methods used on their account. This is an important step in preventing fraud and ensuring that withdrawals are sent to the rightful account holder, in line with the relevant UKGC regulations.

Please rest assured that Apple Pay verification can be completed in alternative ways, such as by providing a bank statement in your name that shows the transactions made to Lucky Mate. Our team can assist you in completing this process quickly and securely.

We’d also like to acknowledge that on the afternoon of 29 October, LuckyMate experienced brief technical issues, which caused some deposits to take longer than usual to appear. These were fully resolved within a couple of hours, and the site has been operating normally since.

    Dear Player,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and appreciate the chance to clarify.

As a UKGC-licensed operator, LuckyMate is required to complete identity and payment-method verification to ensure that withdrawals are sent to the rightful account holder. Occasionally, our team may request documents to be re-submitted if an image is unclear or does not meet regulatory standards, and this is not a delaying tactic, but a compliance requirement under anti-money-laundering and player-protection regulations. Occasionally, if you've submitted the requested documents very recently, an outgoing email from us to you asking for them may be already in our outgoing queue. We haven't been able to identify your account, but if you reach out to our customer service team, they'll be able to assist you.

Regarding your deposits, in principle, is not possible for funds to be taken without an approved transaction. If you believe there are charges that have been duplicated, we would like to again invite you to contact our Customer Service team and provide them with a full, undedited bank statement showing all transactions from the specified period, and we will investigate thoroughly.

We fully respect your right to raise your concerns and are happy to cooperate with any relevant authority to ensure full transparency.

    Shouldn’t have a licence

The site is slow and not very user friendly but I would avoid using it for more serious reasons. Unsure why the gambling commission is giving out licences to companies like this. I deposited £200 and lost it so deposited another £200 so £400 in total no issues. Site asks you to upload your id every time you log on which is annoying. Anyway I won £550 so tried to withdraw the £950 and they blocked it. I had to send them my passport, bank statement, proof of address, pic of my bank card front and back, pic of my Apple Pay card taken from another device. Made me feel very uncomfortable giving all that information away but I had no choice if I wanted my cash back.

    Dear Steven,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the verification process made you feel uncomfortable, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify why these checks are required.

As a UKGC-licensed operator, LuckyMate is legally obliged to verify the identity of all customers and the beneficiary of any outgoing payments. This process is not a delaying tactic, nor do we wait until a withdrawal is requested to begin verification. Document requests appear continuusly both via our secure website pop-up and by email, so usually by the time a withdrawal is requested, we have all necessary documents and can proceed with sending the money right away.

Please rest assured that this process is carried out only once per payment method, and as soon as your account and documents are verified, future withdrawals to the same method will not require additional verification.

The site is good with a large variety…

The site is good with a large variety of games and is easy to use. The issue was the withdrawal of winnings however this was resolved after a number of documents were uploaded onto the site. Initially you need to upload proof of ID (driving licence or similar). Then when you attempt to withdraw you need to upload images of the front and back of the card you used (hiding the 8 middle numbers) but showing the signature etc. Finally a bank statement from the card used to deposit showing a deposit to the site. Once I had done this the funds were in my account within 24Hrs. The downside is that the site didn't contact me telling me to do this I had to email and go onto live chat to find this out.

    Hello Richard,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with LuckyMate hasn’t met your expectations.

Our welcome bonus requires a promo code to be entered at the time of deposit in order to be activated. In some cases, our Customer Support team can review an account and issue the code manually; however, we understand from your message that you’ve chosen not to continue with your account.

Regarding payouts, the Return to Player (RTP) percentage is displayed for each individual game and can be viewed when the game is opened. Generally, RTP values are above 90% and are verified by independent testing laboratories in line with UK Gambling Commission requirements to ensure fairness and transparency.

We appreciate your feedback and will pass it on to the relevant teams as we continually work to improve our players’ experience.

    Kind regards,
    LuckyMate
