This was my second time going on a tour with Luke. In short he is that good (!!) that I had to show my family. We did the 3-day tour of Skye and although we were quite unlucky with the weather (it’s Scotland, we expected rain), Luke made sure that it wouldn’t affect us. His extensive knowledge of Skye is not what sets him apart, but rather his manner and incredible energy. It’s like having an awesome teacher at school that whatever he tells you just stays with you. He also knows all the secret spots that an average big group tour wouldn’t visit and because it’s a private tour, you can personalise it and see literally anything and everything. Skye is truly beautiful and experiencing it the RIGHT way makes a huge difference. Skye is already expensive so paying an extra premium for the ultimate experience is soooo worth it! I usually don’t like tour guides but I recommend Luke unreservedly!!

We had a wonderful day with Luke touring the Isle of Skye! He is so knowledgeable about the local history and went out of his way to make our experience unique. Great memories for the rest of our lives!

We booked a three day tour with Luke starting in Inverness, two nights in Skye, ending in Edinburgh. We connected with Luke in advance, he customized our itinerary to include outlander sites, castles, and hikes. He took us to mystery places that we never would’ve found on our own. Very knowledgeable about the history, the landscape, the geology, he was never short on stories. There were points in the tour where we needed to adjust because of the wildness of Skye and its weather, and Luke was gracious and accommodating and flexible. He made us feel comfortable right off of the bat, and we really enjoyed the time we spent with him. I can’t imagine any better way to explore the Scottish highlights than with Luke, our very own Skye-Walker.

We had a fantastic time and highly recommend Luke Tours! Luke is an instantly likable, energetic host who obviously loves Isle of Skye and Scotland. He knows all the best places and is smart, caring and candid in his recommendations. Luke shares his impressive knowledge of local history, geography and culture in an engaging manner.

We were super impressed and extremely pleased by how he customized the day trip to our specific interests. He really put our happiness and making it a great day first and foremost. He’s an excellent driver and athletic hiker. We were on the go and loved it! And he took some great photos for us!

It was a splurge for us even to consider a private tour. But we really found it to be worthwhile. It made our trip all the more special. We researched over a dozen different options for Isle of Skye and chose Luke Tours because it seemed to be a more personalized and down-to-earth experience. It was all that and more! We could not be more pleased.

What an incredible tour - start to finish it was perfection! Communication before was excellent, pickup was prompt, the shuttle van was clean and we very much felt our comfort was a top priority. Luke is a skilled driver which helped settle the nerves of riding on the left side of the road. We appreciated the option to cross over to Skye on the turntable ferry which was seriously cool. The chocolate shop stop was perfectly timed, feeding the hairy coos was a highlight and the hike to Old Man of Storr was breathtaking (literally and figuratively!). The added bonus of having the bridge photo to take home - priceless. This tour is the perfect combination of “a little off the beaten path”while still hitting the big attractions. We stopped several places we would have missed if we had tried to do this ourselves. Luke has mastered sharing Skye in a way that feels personal and not touristy. We honestly regret not having booked the 2 day tour!

Awesome experience, guide rocks, took us on less crowded better paths when hiking around Isle of Skye. Great music in van, and great choice of spots to stop.

Our recent adventure with Luke Tours from Inverness to the Isle of Skye was nothing short of spectacular. This tour seamlessly combined breathtaking landscapes, rich historical narratives, and engaging activities, making it an unforgettable experience.

A little history about me, I went on a tour with Luke in October 2023 with a friend and had a trip scheduled late May 2024 to Ireland and Scotland with my husband and my in-laws. The first trip with Luke was amazing and I wanted to share that experience with my family. When Luke said he was starting private tours, it was a no brainer. it was absolutely spectacular. Specific details below.

Hiking to Old Man of Storr:
The tour began with a hike to the iconic Old Man of Storr, one of the most famous and photographed locations on the Isle of Skye. The trail, while challenging, was well worth the effort. As we ascended, the rock formations and sweeping views over the Sound of Raasay left us in awe. Luke provided insightful commentary about the geological history of the area, enhancing our appreciation of the natural beauty surrounding us.

Exploring the Fairy Pools:
Next, we visited the enchanting Fairy Pools. The crystal-clear blue waters cascading down the rocky terrain were mesmerizing. It was a rainy day but that didn’t stop us from exploring the pools. Luke shared fascinating local leg and folklore, adding a magical touch to our visit.

Visiting Portree:
We then headed to Portree, the charming capital of the Isle of Skye. With its picturesque harbor and colorful houses, Portree is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll and lunch, but we had packed a lunch and stopped before for a tasty beer. Ask Luke for the deets in that.

Historical Insights:
A highlight of the tour was the captivating history lessons about Bonnie Prince Charlie, the Jacobites, and Flora MacDonald. Our guide passionately recounted the dramatic events of the Jacobite uprising, Bonnie Prince Charlie's escape, and Flora MacDonald's bravery in aiding his flight. These stories brought the rich history of the region to life, making us feel connected to the past.

Feeding the Hairy Coos:
Another delightful part of the tour was feeding the Highland cows, affectionately known as "hairy coos." These gentle giants were a hit with everyone, and it was a unique experience to interact with them up close. Luke explained their significance to the local culture and economy, making the experience both fun and educational.

Overall Experience:
Luke Tours exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to experience the best of the Isle of Skye in a single day. Luke is knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the area, which greatly enhanced our experience. The Isle of Skye Tour with Luke was definitely a highlight of my trip to Scotland! Despite the long journey from Inverness, Luke's great storytelling and fantastic music playlist made the ride feel much shorter than expected.

I had two main goals in Scotland: whisky tasting and hiking, and Luke's tour fulfilled both perfectly! He generously shared two drams of Drambuie and Scotch whisky with me, which were a delightful treat after the long hikes. I especially enjoyed hiking with Luke and Lyla, who is energetic and friendly. My favorite part was when we reached the Old Man of Storr - although the view was partially obscured by fog, it was still impressive. When the fog cleared a few minutes later, I was amazed by the enormous and unique rock surface of the Old Man of Storr.

Thanks to Luke's flexibility and excellent driving skills, I was able to return to Inverness right on time to catch my train! Highly recommend this tour for the adventure in the beautiful landscapes of Isle of Skye!

Luke is very engaging and has a vast knowledge of the area. He takes you to places you otherwise wouldn’t get to experience. The entire day is a story of history, Highland music, great views, and photo-ops. He even comes prepared with carrots to stop and feed the hairy coos. (One of just many of my favorite stops) Luke ensures that you have the best day and gives you options along the way to choose what you like best. This is by far the best tour I have ever been on.

Luke Tours Isle of Skye. Our trip was so amazing he designed the day of our itinerary based on what we wanted to see and then he would add in all these other stops along the way that are points of attraction. He took photos of us all day and even used his drone to take pictures of us. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Everywhere we stopped was just amazing thanks to him for taking the time to talk to us before we started our day to zone in to what our interests were. On our way back to our hotel he kept adding little stops even just to pull over to talk about a point of history or the area itself. Luke Skye-Walter is a tour guide machine!!

Last year I had the pleasur to meet Luke Skywalker and talk about everything that is Scotland and I fell even more in love with Scotland and specially the Isle of Skye than before. I already apreciated Luke Skywalkers knowledge and passion. So this year, a few weeks ago, when I went back to Scotland I had the chance to get his Aberdeen 1-day Tour and it was perfect! I havn't been this emotionaly invested in this area before , but I loved every second and I definilty will be back!
As I have been staying in Aberdeen for the night, I was allowed to stay at Lukes and I not only apreciate him as the amazing tourguide that he is, but also as a great host! I felt absolutly welcomed and had the best breakfast!

As for the Aberdeentour, my favorite stop has been Dunnotar Castle, we took the long walk oder there, and even tough I'm really not the fastest one, Luke took his time and filled the breaks with his never ending knowledge of the area. Also he proved to be a really great photographer and I got some of my favorite shots of my vacation on this day.

Later on we also visited seals at one the beaches and it was just so funny observing these animals and so calm just walking and breathing.

To conclude; I had an amazing day after a really good nights sleep and delicous breakfast. It included so much beauty of the country itself, shared wisdom from Luke Skywalker, photograph who I will look at for the rest of my life, adventure from beginning to end and for the first time in a really really long time I had the feeling to be able to breath again.

Best 1-day tour of the Isle of Skye!!! Luke is a great tour guide. We got to participate in a lot of activities that are not on any other 1-day tour, including hiking up to the Old Man of Storr and to the top of the Fairy Pools. The views are incredible at both! While we made lots of stops for beautiful scenic photos, what I really enjoyed were the more interactive elements - getting to go down to the water at Loch Ness, the hikes, holding our faces in the water at Sligachan Bridge for eternal youth. For me, these activities made the tour so much more memorable and fun than a typical photo stop bus tour.

Luke shares a lot of history of the Highlands. My favorite part was learning about Bonnie Prince Charlie and getting to visit the gravesite of Roderick MacKenzie; it is a story I will never forget. It is also really cool that this tour includes a drone photo at Sligachan Bridge. My sister and I would not have been able to get a photo like that anywhere else. The van we traveled in was very spacious and comfortable, and Luke has a great music playlist to accompany the tour.

Having only one day to explore the Isle of Skye, I believe this tour provided the best of everything we could see and explore. I highly recommend booking this tour; you are guaranteed to have fun, enjoy the beauty of Scotland, and make some wonderful memories!

Couldn’t recommend Luke enough if you’re wanting to explore the wonders and beauty of the Isle of Skye. We opted for the 1 day tour due to our work schedule. We started the day off at Sligachan which was surrounded by the stunning Cuillin Mountains. Luke so kindly was able to get some drone shots of our group on the famous Sligachan Bridge and the quality of these shots were just amazing. We then made our way to the Old Man of Storr in the comfort of Luke’s van which is perfect for groups as the layout of the seats means you get a much more sociable experience in comparison to some other group tours and this we really enjoyed. Little did we know we would be hiking our way all the way to the top of the Old Man of Storr. During our journey to the top we heard many stories and information about the island from Luke and he was more than happy to answer any questions we had too. Hearing about the history and tales of Skye as you take in the beautiful sights that this hike has to offer was the most wonderful experience. Our group were also able to enjoy a cheeky wee dram of Talisker at the top which was thoroughly enjoyed, I don’t think you can get anymore Scottish than that. After our hike we made our way to other sights such as the Quiraing and Kilt Rock, where we were able to take more drone shots and learn more about the wondrous landscape of the island. We ended the day shortly after this due to the short time our group had. Luke, when dropping us off at our destination, generously gave us some postcards which had his own photography on them from various parts of the island. The drone shots and the postcards are a lovely souvenir for us to remember our day by.
Our group enjoyed every minute of this day and I would highly recommend Luke Tours.

A couple of weeks ago me and my friends got to go on one of Luke’s tour around Skye. Luke is this funny knowledgeable guy and time just flew by spending time with him. He told us stories about Skye in the old days and also geological facts about how it formed which I found very interesting. We drove around the north of the island, hiked the old man of storr, sampled some whisky and the best part is that Luke has a drone as well so he professionally captured every moment for us. Another favorite part of mine was when he surprised us with his puppy Lyla who made us all smile on the hike up.
Last but not least transportation was so fun because it allowed us to socialise in between the sites, good music, veery comfortable and he even included some complimentary postcards for us which captured the magic of Skye. Thanks Luke!!

When you're told that you're having a day out with Luke Tours......yes sounds amazing. Luke took us up to the Old Man of Storr and a short drive around Trotternish. Unfortunately we were restricted time wise due to our work schedule.
But every minute of this was brilliant. From Lukes chats about Skye, to the music on the way and of course Lyla....🐶

WOW what a tour. This tour was beyond my wildest dreams. The places that we saw were breathtaking. Luke went above and beyond with the tour to make sure we saw everything. I enjoyed when we kicked off the boat tour with a dram of the local whiskey! What makes this tour special is he can go places that a typical bus tour can’t he also knows the Isle of the Skye better than anyone else and knows all of the hidden unknown places, history that makes the areas we visit come alive, he ensures we get that perfect photo & memory. I would definitely book this tour again to see the other parts as this covers hundreds of miles. If that doesn’t convince you to book with Luke more of the review below:
- Pre booking communication and throughout the trip was superb. We had a couple questions prior to finalizing our booking and he answered us promptly and completely.
- We were able to modify the itinerary slightly to meet our needs (we added extra hiking to several destinations to enjoy all the views we could). We also took out a hike at one destination and just did a destination shot due to weather (it was raining sideways… typical Scotland weather at times). He always adjusted as needed due to weather as well. He went above and beyond to ensure we saw as much as we could of the Isle of Skye and some of the surrounding areas.
- He took some wonderful drone pictures of us from a few locations and sent them to us. We did not expect this but the pictures are wonderful. He also guided us to the most iconic picture spots just like when we hiked Old Man Storr to get the most beautiful scenic views.
- Through out the tour he gave us the background of Isle of Skye and Scotland as well as the destinations we went to. He is a wealth of knowledge and friendly too.

Wr have traveled to over 60 countries and our tour to the Isle of Skye with Luke was our highlight. Luke went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. We enjoyed his information about the sites as well as accompanying music.

Do you want an enjoyable tour experience? Of course you do! And I promise you'll get that with Luke Skye-Walker!
The music is catered and timed to the stories Luke tells on the drive. You can expect a mix of Scottish instrumental and modern songs you'll recognize. And the journey home was accompanied by classic rock, which I greatly enjoyed.
He timed his stories and historical facts very well for the journey.
His appreciation and respect for the land really shines through and hearing his tales of how his travels through the country helped heal him made me love the land too.
Also, Luke is a pretty great driver!

A personal favorite moment of my time with Luke: How many sheep are there in Scotland? First guess: 3 mill. Nope. Second guess: 100 mil. Very wrong. Third guess...30. We passed about 1000 just down the road.

I went on the tour to Eilean Donan Castle and Isle of Skye with Luke (Luke Skywalker) and it was AMAZING.

Luke knows his business! It was not just a tour, it was a show. He told us so much information in a fun and interactive manner, he also played music from a perfect grafted playlist that suited the scenery so well!

He gave us insights and things to look for beyond what I expected. His enthusiasm and passion for the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Skye, hiking and animals really came true and worked so well!

I honestly think I had one of the best days on my trip. The beautiful nature combined with Lukes expertise made for an amazing tour!

Luke is not just a regular tour guide, he is THE BEST tour guide ever. He is literally so much more than just a tour guide, he is a videographer, photographer, drone pilot , entertainer, story teller and he has so much knowledge about the highlands. From the start he was just fantastic he took the group to off beat locations and made sure that he took pictures for us. He stopped in different location to show us different viewpoints. He went out of his way to make sure we all were comfortable. He dropped each of us to our respective b&b in Portree and was on time to pick us up. We covered so so many locations and the amount of information we received from him about each location was just amazing. Oh wait the music , his taste in music is incredible before each location he played the most amazing music and it just made this experience even more fantastic. For me personally he took drone videos which turned out to be the best I have seen in my life. He even hiked to the fairy pools and took so many amazing pics from different angels. If you ever take any tour for isle of Sky it HAS TO BE WITH ONE AND ONLY LUKE. You will be left with great memories and amazing pics. Luke once again thank you so so much. You not just saved a life in this tour but also made so many friends and fans. You are the most talented tour guide I have ever met. Period.
