DO NOT BOOKING TICKET USING LY.COM

Their apps/platform is not comply to Malaysia Airlines rules on booking.

Their apps/platform having limitation to accept First Name/Last Name as per my passport.

They even refused to amend my name and asking me to pay Yuan 500.

LY.COM, has refused to assist me with this request, despite my attempts to resolve the issue with them directly.

Avoid LY.com – No refund for canceled flight, no response for 4 months

I booked three round-trip domestic flight tickets in Canada via LY.com (Tongcheng Travel) on January 31, 2025. My outbound flight with WestJet was canceled at the last minute due to a technical issue, and I was told by the airline that the refund must be processed by the booking agent (LY.com). For over four months, LY.com has done absolutely nothing: no working phone number, only an unhelpful chatbot, and countless “we’re looking into it” auto-replies. Their high-profile “Travel Guarantee” and “Flight Change First-Pay” promises proved to be empty marketing slogans. This is a blatant abuse of overseas customers—avoiding responsibility and delaying refunds indefinitely. I’ve already escalated this to consumer protection authorities and will continue to push for a resolution. Do not book through LY.com if you expect even basic accountability.

Horrible booking service. Ended up booking additional connecting flight and hotel. Called and spoke for hours but nothing offered. Will never use ly.com or tongcheng ever again

Worst Customer Service & Refund Process!

I booked a flight from Penang to Bangkok through LY.com via Skyscanner, and the experience was a nightmare.

A week before my departure, they rescheduled my flight to arrive and depart on the same day – which made absolutely no sense. When I tried to contact them, I had to call China-based hotlines, and the customer service was terrible. I provided my booking number, yet they didn't even bother to read my travel date properly.

Since I couldn’t accept their ridiculous new schedule, they told me I could request a refund and rebook a new flight – which I did. But now, it’s been over a month, and I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve had to email them multiple times just to chase for updates, and there’s no proper way to reach a responsive support team.

The entire process has been stressful, inconvenient, and unprofessional. LY.com might offer cheap prices, but it’s not worth the risk. I will never use this platform again.

Ly.com bunch of scammers

Never use Ly.com. Had a very bad experience. They didn’t refund me the amount even though airline did. Have been following from 2 weeks but they all time repeatedly saying that they haven’t revived refund. I have to atlast submit dispute with the bank

Ly.com is the worst booking site ever

Ly.com is the worst booking site ever. As many travelers stated, Ly.com has the worst customer service. Their cancellation policy is fake, after booking it says we can cancel within 24 hours but that was a lie, cannot cancel or change. Overall, avoid at all cost, its a scam.

The worst travel website ly.com in the history of Google

I booked my flight with LY.com website and it was the worst experience of my life never ever book with ly.com. Your trip will be completely stressful and you will be in deep trouble with something or another so my suggestion never ever book with these people pay little bit extra if you have to, but don’t trust specially this website.

Worst agency ever & scamming the people

Worst agency ever. Beware of this scam agency. Would not recommend anyone to book tickets. First they'll give the hopes of refunding the amount & at the end they don't return. Customer support staff is very bad & unsupportive.

It's a legit website

It's a legit website, I booked 2 tickets in Air India and at first did not receive tickets, I was worried after checking out the Comments. Texted customer support, was asked wait for few hours. Next hour I got my tickets with PNR. Check the terms & Conditions while booking before hand.

Was genuinely surprised that it was not a scam.

Like many others, I was very concerned about booking a cheap deal with an off-brand travel company. I also read the reviews, which made me even more worried. Still, I took a chance. At first, I was very anxious because I didn’t receive a confirmed ticket from the airline right away — just an itinerary from Ly, which didn’t mean much to me. They did send a notification to my phone confirming that I bought the ticket, but it wasn’t very reassuring.

To protect myself in case it was a scam, I used a credit card and also bought another ticket directly from the airline as a backup, taking advantage of the airline’s 24-hour free cancellation policy.

Surprisingly, within 24 hours, I received an email from Ly with an itinerary and airline confirmation codes. I verified it with the airline, and it was legit. They even gave me a better seat than the one I had originally booked! I canceled my backup reservation.

Overall, I would say I recommend Ly — if you are willing to wait up to 24–48 hours for confirmation. That waiting period was the most stressful part for me. The savings might be worth it for some travelers. However, I do think that contacting their customer service could be a huge problem, so if you’re the type of traveler who doesn’t need a lot of support after booking, this option might work for you.

Ly.com is a LIE

I bought a flight from Ly.com as Google had as a option as a cheaper option. I was very unsure I was buy from the airlines website. I decided to try it out. I filled out all the info and purchased the ticket, I got an email of receipt. I received a confirmation number the next day from a Chinese company. I went to use it on the airline website and it work the first day. three days before my flight I tried to go the the airline website as I did before with the confirmation number Ly.com provided, it was not recognized by the airline, I tried several times and nothing. I could the Airline direct to ask them what was the problem as it worked before. They explain that the Ticket was flagged as fraud and I would have to buy the ticket at the airport . I ask why was it determined Frund. The airline explain that the ticket was bought under someone else's Travel Miles and the names did not match. It was impossible trying to contact Ly.com as the hours of operation were opposite of where I was at. The Ticket was a Total Lost. Never Ever Buy from LY.com it's exactly what they say a LIE.

Scam Fraud Cheat

Cheated with the price change and removed my 23 KG luggage from the booking. The website is a cheat and scam. They show you cheaper tickets and charge you extra. Save yourself from being scammed and book through a better website or app.

Fraudulent company

Fraudulent company! Purchased a flight with Ly but wrong date. Caught it and tried to cancel within a few minutes of booking it. Got the confirmation that refund was accepted/confirmed. Did not go back right away. Was told it would take a few days. Nothing. Contacted company again and despite sending the confirmation of the refund they sent me - they are now saying it was non-refundable. I already booked another ticket so I can't use these.
