Complete disk backups
I only ever do complete disk backups, never using incremental features.
Macrium may be an overkill, but I know that if I ever need to completely do a restore from a disaster it will work. I have done this and all was good.
It's worth paying for that security.
Annoying Popups
The constant popups are extremely annoying and there's no way that I've found to shut them off. Make it easy to block them!!

Great imaging tool
I upgraded my computer hard drive from 250gb to 1tb. Using the software I was able to image my hard drive and then load the image to the new drive. It was so easy to do and I have had no issues at all with the image. I am very thankful to have found this software.
I just bought Macrium
I just bought Macrium. My first experience was to simply clone a disk as practice. That worked 100% Then the real thing. It was harder. I thought I made a mistake. A big mistake. Support helped me understand it wasn't a mistake the clone has everything and the changes I was making at the destination which were bad, bad, idiot mistakes were recoverable. The clone still had everything. I scared myself, yet in the end I was able to have a big sigh of relief. Support is such an important team. So many of us newbies are so happy that they are so good at what they do. Thanks to the support team, the mighty support saves the day.
It's interface is a little clumsy
It's interface is a little clumsy, and the process of just cloning a drive trying. It took two tries for the drive to be cloned, and I'm still uncertain if the clone is functional.
Very good resource
Very good. Once you get to know how to use it, it provides a very useful resource.
Two successful clones
I successfully cloned 1 Windows 7 PC to an SSD. I successfully cloned 1 Windows 11 PC to an SSD.
It works
Has never failed me when needed, whether for a restore or a deleted or corrupted file.
Switched from Acronis
After 3 years gave up on the that mess called Acronis and, on Ask Leo's suggestion, tried Macrium Reflect. As a retired software engineer, I find backup clear, well orgainzied, and well documented. Probably the best: the system captures everything you'd ever needed to solve a problem. I couldn't figure out something. Put in a ticket, sent a log and the backup plan in question, and it was solved right away. All done offline i.e. no phone calls, no Chats with people that don't have a clue. Genius.
Simple and depencable
After using the free version of Macrium Reflect image backup for 10 years, I sprung for the subscription. My experience includes several successful restores after hardware failure and to move to new hardware. Never a glitch. Software has way more features than I use. I just need dependability, simple setup and straightforward use. I am a happy customer.
Purchase setup involves too many…
Purchase setup involves too many alterations...should be changed back to simple process with one account number and one password requirement.
Whoever came up with the account/support model...and the series of maneuvers it takes to download any app, trial or purchased, should be fired, IMO.

Great backup, weighed down by a poor UI
Full stars for functionality, demo, and individual use pricing. The UI however is overly complicated for the high-runner operations, like configuring a schedule backup of your boot system. Backup configurations/profiles are separate from schedules and the relationship isn't very clear. This might be solveable with a backup creation wizard but as it is, it's awkward and confusing. Another even better alternative would be to default to some kind of "easy" mode and have an "Advanced" toggle for the full UI.
Hats off to Alex …
Hats off to Alex for making my latest upgrade to Reflect X seem so effortless. Cheers!
I've been using Macrium Reflect for about 6 years. This product is routinely updated and the support team appears to be very transparent about what each update includes. I've not needed tech support very often (which is awesome in itself) but each time I've engaged them I've been impressed with their responsiveness and expertise. I believe Macrium absolutely deserves to be recognized as a serious Backup and Recovery software solution provider. It would not surprise me at all to see Macrium Software appear in the Gartner Magic Quadrant some day.
I hate they went to yearly charges…
I hate they went to yearly charges instead of revision change charges, but this is the best backup and recovery I've seen in my entire IT career. I highly recommend this software if you can get around the yearly charge. I've used the recovery portion a few times. It works. I highly recommend making a Bootable usb drive with the recovery boot software included with the backup software. I've had this software about 8 to 10 years. It works and is fast. I have a synology NAS I backup to. You can use portable USB HDD or USB STICKS for backup. It works any variety ways.
Reflect is fast and works well.
nvme upgrade
Very automated and easy to use. Worked extremely well when I upgraded my computer with an nvme m.2 . I easily moved my o/s from the old ssd to the nvme.
Reliable Backup Software That Just Works
This software is straightforward, reliable, and does exactly what it promises. It’s easy to use, even for beginners, and has saved my ass more than once while figuring out computers. It assisted in recovering, storing, and pulling files from my parent’s laptop. Love it.
