The Software? 5 Stars The Licensing? 0 Stars First off, Macrium Reflect is fantastic software. It does what it claims to do very well. I would recommend the software itself. However, the licensi... See more

Macrium Reflect Equals Peace Of Mind
Macrium Reflect is the quickest, most comprehensive and intuitive backup and restore solution for my needs. It has saved me quite a few times over the 15 years or so that I've been using it and has never failed. The ability to create quick system drive images gives me great peace of mind and makes it easy to keep a regular backup schedule going. I always know that, if (when) my system drive has a problem, I can get back up and running in no time!
Subscription only
I currently have a perpetual license for Reflect (home use) and am totally satisfied with the product. I intended to purchase another copy of Reflect for my wife’s laptop however I learned that the perpetual licenses were now unavailable.
Contrary to Macrium’s claim that home users will greatly benefit from the subscription model is a ridiculous claim for the vast majority of home users. The software works perfectly fine as is and there is no upgrade feature that could entice a home user to invest that much more money for the promise of, what would be, bare minimal enhancement.
I think Macrium should take note that consumers are not stupid or naive; consumers HATE subscription models because they are viewed as money grabbing, rent model.
I predict that this move will see their home user market disappear and migrate to the likes of Clonezilla.

Moving to Macrium Reflect X
I have been a user of the "free" version of Macrium for a few years and have recently upgraded to the paid Reflect X "Home Edition". The interface is very similar which helps and I have successfully created some backup files. The help facility is clear and has answered all my questions (not many) to date. Ordering and "delivery" of the software and its installations was quick and without issue.
INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM FRANCISCO!!!
Macrium Reflect (non-business user) was recommended to me by a US government IT supervisor for classified information). I actually found the product a bit confusing at first, and wanted to fine-tune some options so I reached out to support by creating a ticket. FAST FAST FAST service, even with a few follow up questions but always 5 star service, and always with the same tech support person Francisco ..... WOW .... so good, and on top of all my issues. Based in the USA he always found a good time to connect via chat and simultaneously look at my screen and show me what to do. THANK YOU FRANCISCO ..... you have been stellar!
Very good product
Very good product. Have used it as both a disk duplicator and also for my monthly backups with no issues.
Software is good - but the annual plans are not
I give the software itself four stars - I'd be five stars if a flexible dynamic destination definition would be possible (e.g. "start automatically a backup when the external USB drive has been plugged in").
But I hate the new annual plans with not working software when not renewed - that's IMHO totally bullshit.
Bet upgrade experience ever
Bet upgrade experience ever. Just went to your new release and upgrade went flawlessly.

Had some Keys issue and it was immediately fixed.
This is the best imaging software available.

Confused
Not being computer savvy but having some willingness to have a go I wanted to replace the SSD hard drive in my laptop as Dell had informed me that it was failing. Checking out YouTube it seemed to be a fairly straightforward task. I bought the Macrium software package as suggested to clone my data to transfer to the new SSD replacement. This is where my problems started, reading through the 370 odd pages I was totally lost in the first paragraph. It was like a foreign language. Further You Tube research gave me some idea of what I needed to do. I followed the guidance from the "non technical", Macrium pages best I could and the You Tube instructions and cloned what I thought was the total data from the SSD.
New SSD inserted, reconnect the portable hard drive containing the clone, utter confusion, after much pressing of keys, buttons and clicking on options I managed to copy what I'd cloned onto the new SSD. Issues I wasn't expecting was that I had to reload the numerous apps I had previously onto the new hard drive. Then I had several notifications that various drivers could not upload.
So my issues are not with the software but the information that comes with it, it's too technical for numpties like me. KISS - Keep it simple, stupid.
Great expérience with last version
Great expérience with last version, far quicker than previous version. 500 go data stored in less than 5 min
I like that it is backing up file…
I like that it is backing up file silently. I don't like that every time my computer comes out of hibernation, I get a block up saying that Macrium Image Guardian has blocked a number of file operations, and that I have to close this window. I wish that there was at least a setting to not show this window.
Excellent backup software
Excellent backup software & protection. Very easy to do full system backups to my NAS.
Just wish this was available on my MacBook Pro ;)
Been told there may be a Linux version. Just hoping it works via CLI/SSH as my NAS doesn't use a desktop GUI.
Make from Older to New Version cheap
Software is excellent but with company policy I am not happy make older to new version switch at discounted price as old customer. Price should be very nominal
Everything is good
Worth it's weight in GOLD
My C: drive was giving me impending failure errors so I purchased Macrium to create a bootable clone. Very intuitive easy to understand process. Also using it to manage and schedule backups. Highly recommend Macrium!!! I give them 6 stars....
