Mailfence is an end to end encrypted email suite that boosts collaboration and convenience without compromising neither. You can encrypt symmetrically and asymmetrically with Mailfence via our platform the encryption is dead simple and with our Integrated keystore end to end encryption has never been easier. Finally, Mailfence donates to EFF and EDRI to bolster the fight for Online privacy.

Mailfence:
An extremely disappointing experience.
Setup of domain name: Very opaque. It also took 4 days for the propagation to register. I am not sure if mailfence was at all responsible but a transfer propagation to another provider was almost instant!
Usage: I was able to connect the email to both a Linux client (Kmail) and an Android client relatively easy. My main use however was to use that domain email for service with my domain server. This did NOT work. Both Wordpress and Invoiceninja could not connect to Mailfence. Four other email providers could do so! Telnet could not connect to Mailfence. I tested with 3 others successfully.
Mailfence's response was: wrong configs.
Successful connection with two other clients on other devices as well as Telnet belies this.
Response time: Mailfence replies were anywhere between two to five days. Completely unacceptable for paid support.
Storage: Mailfence also offers storage. Connection via KDE Dolphin on a Plasma desktop was finicky. It sometimes worked - sometimes not. On top of this files that were stored there were all gone the next day! Mailfence did not give a reason as to why they disappeared. Their storage cannot be trusted.
Open source: Mailfence has promoted its intentions to go Open Source but this seems to be an unfulfilled ongoing claim.
Recompense for lack of service: Mailfence refused to refund.

I cannot login any longer, with system telling me I have no account. The account is tied to crypto asset wallets, which I am also now locked out of. Big losses at this point. This is an email rarely used and only for one purpose. Passord info stored in multiple VERY safe places, that nobody has access to. I am a widower, don't live with anyone. From my perspective Mailfence is anything but secure, as it appears it has been hacked, me locked out, and anything it was tied to also hacked and stolen. Don't even CONSIDER using this service if you need any level of security whatsoever.
Update… a search of my recovery email address shows NO CONTACT EVER regarding termination, and I dont recall this “fine print excuse”. I have lost thousands. I did send suppt an email, and nothing was done to attempt recovery. Just hung their hat on their fine print excuse. Not a company that gives a damn about their customers.

Be aware, Mailfence will NOT deliver emails it considers having a "high spam score". Those emails will not be put in a Spam folder and simply discarded.
Mailfence considers many verification emails from providers like TextNow, Reddit etc to be "high spam", and you will never receive those message meant to verify your email address. Mailfence support answer is to sell you a for-pay subscription in order to whitelist senders of verification emails.

Mailfence: everything I need for my business
I own a small business with 5 employees, and recently made the switch to Mailfence. Due to the nature of our business, we needed a solution which provided security and privacy of communications. Thanks to the online storage, we can safely share and collaborate on documents. And customer support has always been very responsive, especially during the onboarding phase. Highly recommend!

I've been using Mailfence and their new mobile app for a few months and I've found no issues so far.
Very happy with this service.

I have been using MF for years, and it runs very smoothly. It's stable and highly effective at protecting my privacy, meeting all my expectations. Although the anti-spam filter can be a bit aggressive, I prefer this over a lax approach that results in a cluttered inbox, which I’ve experienced with many other services. I extensively use the whitelisting option to ensure only the emails I want appear in my inbox.
The support team has helped me resolve minor configuration issues, especially with the various exotic mail clients I use.
Overall, MF is well worth the money. I recommend it to anyone concerned about privacy.

Mailbox was OK year approximately year ago. Now they did something and it stopped to receive all mails. Now I have to pay for one year sub to whitelist corresponding domains, because free accounts cannot whitelist anything.

My Mailfence account has been hacked and I am unable to remove it. I would certainly not recommend this product.

I have emailed them twice about needing help attaching a document to an email the document having been scanned into my pc but no answer, I had to go elsewhere to be able to send important papers back to my accountant.
Since they made some change in their interface perhaps selling to atandt I have been getting up to 90 scam potential emails a day and I can not reach Malefence for help. I really do not the work and aggravation of having to change my email carrier.

Being new to Mailfence, I have had to submit a couple of support requests. On both occasions I received quick responses which provided clear and simple guidance. Shout out to Jean! One of the replies came back in less than an hour. The company ethos and privacy standards seem to be of the highest. Bravo!

Mailfence is an excellent encrypted email service. I found their product very easy to use and even though I am a free user who doesn't get priority support they replied to my email for help almost immediately.
I'd recommend them to anyone!

With Gmail and other providers promising you the moon and not really delivering while invading your privacy, it's hard to find a provider that does things right.
Mailfence is a service I discovered a couple of years back. It has a good Web user-interface, rarely do I get spam email, and I'm able to use this with 3rd party mail clients which is important to me.
Their support are friendly, helpful, and easy to chat with. If you pay for multiple years ahead of time there can be discounted rates which makes it more cost-effective.
I've moved my entire family to Mailfence for their own accounts and so far everything is working great.
Thanks for a good service!

I would like to share my experience with the Mailfence service and provide some feedback.
Email verification is a standard procedure for online services, and typically, after registering, users receive an email with a verification link. Clicking this link confirms ownership of the email address, and the address is then linked to the user's profile for future verifications.
I registered with Mailfence for an online gaming service and initially, Mailfence accepted the verification email without issue. However, after three months of gameplay, I lost my authentication token due to a Windows reinstallation. Now I'm unable to prove ownership of my mailbox as the verification codes are not being delivered.
I tested the service again by attempting to register a second game account with the same email, and I received the verification link, indicating that Mailfence only blocks emails containing verification codes.
According to the knowledge base article, there are two options for receiving important emails that might be mistakenly blocked:
1) Adding the sender to a whitelist, which is available for paid accounts only. The minimum subscription term is one year at a cost of 42 EURO, which is more than the cost of the game itself.
2) Providing Mailfence with email details (header, body) so that they may adjust their spam detection methods. I have submitted an example .eml file with the necessary information, highlighting the unique nature of the subject line, which starts with "Verification Code for".
Unfortunately, the support team's response seemed to suggest that upgrading to a paid subscription was the preferred solution.
I inquired about activating a one-day subscription to resolve my issue and discontinue my use of Mailfence, but I have not received a response in three days, indicating that the support conversation has ended.
This experience has led me to believe that Mailfence may be facing financial difficulties. As such, I would advise caution when considering creating an account with Mailfence.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.
Kind regards,
A.A.

Although I use a free version with Mailfence the customer support was fantastic. The support member solved the issue and just sent me a " Done ".

Hello,
It is unclear on which exact Mailfence account are you referring to (?). If it is "xxxxxxxxxxxxx", then please note:
In the event a user is unable to sign in to their own account due to a lost list of TFA backup codes, we must commence an account ownership verification process. However, due to the associated administration cost, account verification is available for paying plans only.
If you are prepared to upgrade to a paying plan, we can initiate the account ownership verification process. Could you please confirm?
At the end of the procedure and in case we can identify you as the owner of the account, we will deactivate TFA and invite you to upgrade your account.
Apologies for any inconvenience that it may cause you, but the set procedure is in place to protect your data from getting compromised via social engineering.
We thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Mailfence support
