Total SCAM - please do not order anything. I have reported to police

I have been trying since last July to get a £200 refund. I am an idiot and should have known better. Ordered dresses but realised the pictures they used were fake. Sizing dreadful. Was offered 10% then 20% back bit I refused. Then sent to China with the longest address ever. Last week the parcel was returned to me after 8 months. I spoke with the PO and they said the company refused to sign and therefore they claim it was never received. I have since had several which I think are AI generated emails but no resolution at all. Trading standards need to shut this company down and arrest the owners for fraud. Please learn from this. I am not done yet and will continue to share my story to stop others being scammed

⭐ 0 stars – Complete scam, avoid at all costs

The quality of the dresses was terrible, and the sizing is completely wrong. I ordered two sizes of each dress – my usual size and one size up – and couldn’t even get them on. The fitting is entirely off.

It’s also not made clear that returns go back to China, which means returning items is very expensive. I paid £36 for a tracked and signed return, and despite sending everything back, I’ve still not received my refund and have had no response from the company.

It’s now been over 3 months, and I’m £240 out of pocket. I’m still chasing this and getting nowhere.

Avoid this company at all costs – they are not legitimate. I wish I had read these reviews before ordering.

Poor customer service avoid

Do not order from this company AVOID. It’s taken me 4 months for a refund and I’m still battling with them. Poor customer service would not order again from them and or suggest them to anyone. AVOID!!

The items I received were awful quality…

The items I received were awful quality and I returned this straight away - this was in China and cost me £20 - it has been 2 months and they are still claiming the order hasn't been received. So they owe me £120. The company is a scam which is why it is now closed down , but I am still £140 out of pocket.

100% STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I normally dont write reviews however 100% STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Clothes are very poor quality. Didn't recieve all my packages and spent a very long time trying to get my money back. Also recieved soiled dress and won't give me a full refund without sending it back to China from UK which will cost alot of money to do so, despite them asking and sending pictures 3 times of damage! Consistent chasing them for updates as they never come back to you and when they reply back, the person never reads previous emails and replies back with either irrelevant info or nonsense. Please, please avoid or u will be out money!!

ZERO STARS. AVOID. This is terrible company that sells poor quality clothes, takes your money and doesn't refund you for returns. Keeps saying my returns are in transit and won't refund the money. A complete SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I would actually give zero stars! Avoid this company at all costs, the clothing is dreadful of very poor quality…. Sizing is terrible! Mentions they offer refunds however you have to email them where you are then fobbed off with all manner of excuses. They eventually supply you with the address informing you to declare a low value on postage, i ignored this response as it all appears to be a scam. You never get your money back, my parcel has been in customs since the 14th June, all they have to do is pay a fee on their side so parcel
Can continue on its journey, which i am happy to have deducted from the refund, yet despite sending numerous emails i receive the same response…. Your item is still in transit! £186 wasted this company has no intentions of refunding!

Misleading, Unlawful & Customer-Unfriendly

I had an awful experience with Maison D’Amber and strongly advise others to avoid this company.

I ordered a dress that arrived without any labels, tags, or branding, and it looked nothing like what was advertised. It was clearly mis-sold, and under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, I’m entitled to a full refund and return costs covered when an item is not as described.

Instead of respecting the law, Maison D’Amber offered me a series of low partial refunds (10%, 20%, 40%, then 50%) — all completely unacceptable. Eventually, they said I could return the item for a full refund — but only if I paid international return shipping and customs fees. That’s unlawful.

They are banking on customers giving up. Communication is slow, evasive, and clearly aimed at wearing people down. It’s disgraceful customer service and shows complete disregard for UK consumer law.

I’ve now filed for a chargeback, reported them to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice, and will continue to share this experience across platforms.

Maison D’Amber misleads customers, dodges accountability, and violates basic consumer protections. Avoid them.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. It is based in CHINA not in Amsterdam as their website claims. On requesting a return I am offered all sorts of alternatives first before they finally disclose their warehouse is based in CHINA so your return will take 1-2 months and is at your expense. It’s a scam!!!

I ordered size medium dress which came…

I ordered size medium dress which came up on the small size. I wanted to to return the item but they said not to, instead they offer a 30% fee replacement . I find this unacceptable. As I really like the dress I ordered a large. it is the same size as a medium. I will not order from this company again.

SCAM

DO NOT buy from this company who claim to be a small business posting from Netherlands! The products are of poor quality and do not resemble the pictures or videos online. They are also shipped from China. Returns are extremely difficult and will cost you in excess of £20. I have reported them to china's trading standards for misrepresentation. I am also pursuing a charge back from my credit card provider.

SCAM!!!!

I order two dresses from what I thought was a company in Netherlands. I ordered a large which should have been my size but was way too small!! I then proceeded to return the first one I received to get a message that I could keep the Large one and just pay a small fee for them to send the XL one!! Of course I then opted for a refund only to be sent another message saying they on have one warehouse and its in CHINA and that there will be additional fees for customs clearance and could take up to 1-2 months - THIS IS A SCAM I wished I had looked at Trust pilot first as there are so many negative reviews. I have lost £150.00 to this company as none of the dresses fit and they don’t pay for return or liable for any custom charges. I can not take the chance in sending back as this could cost me a lot more!!! PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY WHICH I SAW ON INSTAGRAM - IT LOOKS GENUINE BUT CLEARLY NOT!!!!!!!!

The return shipping costs and customs fees depend entirely on the courier you choose, as long as it includes a valid track and trace link. It’s also important to note that we have no control over what happens to a parcel while it’s in transit. That’s exactly why we make it clear that safe arrival is your responsibility, just as it would be for any international return.

DO NOT BUY FROM MAISON D'AMBER

So, trying to return a dress that came as a size 4 instead of 12, absolutely dreadful quality and arrived so long after the order date. Their response is designed to deter you from returning, saying they can't guarantee any extra customs charges of £20, they don't offer free returns even though they sent the wrong size, I would have to pay for the return postage and returns to their warehouse typically take 1-2 months so that's how long I'd be waiting for a refund. Absolutely shocking. I feel like they are stalling so that they can then use the excuse of being out of time!
Maison d'Amber STOP scamming people and give me a full refund. I will persist until I receive mine.

Very poor quality

Very poor quality and dress is completely different colour to that shown in the picture. When you ask to return, they only then tell you you have to ship direct to china and will incur expensive taxes etc. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Terrible customer service and cheap ill-fitting clothes. They say they offer a return policy for ‘effortless’ returns. This is completely untrue. You have to ship it back to China at an extortionate cost. There website also reckons they have a trust pilot score of 4.6 based on 2379 reviews however you can’t click on it to take you to the website. This is a complete misrepresentation compared to what I can see on the trust pilot site. I can only see a score of 1.8 from 64 reviews.
Please don’t buy from them. It’s not a trusted British firm. The quality is terrible as well as such poor customer service. They are a scam.

disappointed with “guarantee”

Extremely disappointed with “money back guarantee”. They should remove this promise from their website. They DO NOT offer hassle-free returns! Do not buy from this website. The dress I purchased is poor quality and poorly stitched for the cost. Shipping from China took 1 month. The sizing was completely inaccurate. It seems there is no way to get a full refund for return.

Poor quality faulty clothing

Appears like a credible good quality Englishg company, when infact they drop ship poor quality clothing. Would not refund me when the dress arrived with zip not sewn in properly, and said I would have to return back to china covering postage and price of customs £20+. Do not order as the clothes are nothing like the pictures
