What I experienced was extremely concerning

When I first called, Dr. Mandal pretended to be her own receptionist, which I later found out she had none, even though she implied that her staff had gone home for the day - each time I was at her office (later, when she told me she would give me a refund, she told me in a text message that her staff was working on my refund). Dr. Mandal told me my $100 consult fee would be applied to any procedure, which she later denied.
At my consult, I waited over an hour & watched her sell the same 3‑session package to 2 elderly women using the exact same pressure tactics she later used on me. It felt like a pattern.
During my first procedure, her behavior was erratic. She questioned me about a wrapper on the bench, questioned a small spot on the floor, tried to get me to remove my shoes so I wouldn’t “dirty” her mat, & yelled at me to put my phone away even though it was in my purse across the room. She would NOT allow me to have my phone out at all.
When I politely asked her not to treat the area around my eyes, she told me I was “trying to control the situation” & “I was treating her like a five‑year‑old,” then she began swearing & mocking another doctor. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional, & it made me very nervous & uncomfortable.
When I tried to ask questions about the procedure or products, she rushed me, told me she didn't have time for that, & pressured me to make snap decisions.
I prepaid for a 3‑session package. When I arrived for my second appointment, she became upset when I asked again about my $100 consult fee. Immediately, her demeanor changed, her face started twitching, & then SHE canceled my 2 procedures herself while I was standing there ready for treatment. This felt very retaliatory.
She later issued only a partial refund & falsely claimed that I canceled. She still owes me $817. I paid for 2 other procedures that never happened.
She had me sign multiple documents, but didn't provide me with copies of everything. The pricing she referenced was handwritten-in & tiered, with no proof of when it was added.
After the fact, I found multiple 1-star reviews that were shared about Dr. Mandal, including businesses in regards to non-payment from her for services rendered.
💥UPDATE💥: I posted a review of my experience with Dr. Anita Mandal of Mandal Plastic Surgery, and to my surprise, my review went viral and is now a top trending review. I now have SO MANY women reaching out to me and telling me they've had similar experiences with Dr. Mandal. I can't believe how many women have been reaching out to me and telling me they can't believe she's still practicing. They're even giving me their email addresses so I can contact them privately. I also have multiple former employees reaching out to me and telling me their horrible experiences working for her and how badly she treated them. I've actually also had several women ask me if we could all get together for a class action lawsuit.
I'm sharing this because what I went through wasn't just disappointing-it was emotionally draining, confusing, & deeply uncomfortable. I left feeling confused, belittled, & taken advantage of.
No patient should ever feel unsafe or manipulated during a medical appointment.
