Cold food, bad attitude

I stayed at the Marriott W hotel in Costa Navorino Greece.
The views were excellent
The gym was decent
The experience at the lounge bar was not fitting of the price. On our second night we received a lot of hostility from the staff. We were willing to let that go as sometimes people have bad days. Two evening later when our food came out it was cold. When confronted the staff told me they would warm my food, I refused as I’m not paying those prices and having my food microwaved just because they couldn’t get it out at a reasonable temperature. I sent it back and refused to pay.
Really disappointing

Do NOT stay here.

Do NOT stay here.

I booked two rooms at the Long Beach CA “4 star hotel” for my family vacation. However, the experience was TERRIBLE!

Upon entering the building to check in, I was brazenly stopped by a private security guard who worked for the private company, Allied. The guard demanded to see our identification before allowing us to enter into the hotel…

We had multiple bags and suitcases and were not greeted in a pleasant or professional manner. Rather than delivering ANY degree of hospitable service, we were treated like we were criminals when we were just checking in to our alleged “4 star” hotel.

Once we finally got inside the building, we continually met more of these allied agents who constantly asked for our identification. You couldn’t walk more than 5 feet without encountering one of these people. We were literally being harassed the entire time.

When I finally got to the front desk, the actual Marriott employee explained that a very wealthy/famous person was staying at the hotel and that the allied guards were their personal security… Marriott claimed that they were not in control of those guard yet there were DOZENS of them all posturing as if they were hotel security demanding identification from all hotel guests—nearly every 20-30 seconds.

It is clear that Marriott allowed this behavior and does not care AT ALL about their guest’s experience. Then, to make matters worse, when my mom attempted to enter the hotel, she was stopped by more allied guards and an LAPD officer for attempting to enter THE HOTEL THAT WE PAID NEARLY $1,000/NIGHT TO STAY IN…

Frankly, if someone is THAT important, then Marriott should make them buy out the entire hotel. Don’t even sell additional rooms if you’re just going to treat your non-billionaire guests like utter trash…

What we experienced was pure ELITISM at its finest—and Marriott should be ashamed.

I strongly urge you to NEVER stay here.

Bristol royal Marriott hotel

Bristol royal Marriott hotel. Booked a suite and extra time so I could check in at 11am. I could not get into the room until 4.30pm which is 90 mins past a normal check in time, missed a meeting as I could not get showered and changed.
Poor customer service and was not offered any alternative room to freshen up.

Atrocious customer service agents who are probably under pressure just to fob people off in order to meet targets. Every time I reply to them I get through to another agent who says they understand my issue completely and then does nothing to help.

Stressful stay made worse by company indifference

Stressful and unpleasant stay at Marriott in Innsbruck after requesting a low level room and not getting one .. on two stays, despite assurances it would be sorted for the return visit.
Complaint system run by AI it would seem including a selection of ' Indian' names. No response at all from senior managers.
Not worth your time or your money.

Unprofessional Service and Questionable Charges

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon following my sister’s engagement event. We were clearly told that Marriott staff would manage the bar. However, during the event, no staff were present to serve drinks, and I was told I was not allowed to serve alcohol myself. On top of that, there were no glasses available, and I was informed they had not been booked something that was never communicated in advance, nor were any additional charges mentioned. I was ultimately forced to leave the event to buy plastic cups from a supermarket, serve drinks myself, and clean up afterward. This was unacceptable and completely disrupted the evening. The issues continued afterward. I was charged £549 in corkage fees but received no breakdown despite multiple requests over three weeks. Only after submitting a formal complaint did I receive a response with a revised figure of £635, including items I did not use. When I questioned this, I was simply told the higher amount was “correct” and that I had been charged less, which raised serious concerns about the accuracy and transparency of their billing. I was also informed that discussions had taken place with the caterers regarding additional charges, which the caterers have since confirmed is untrue. During a meeting, the hotel acknowledged their failure to provide bar staff but refused to offer appropriate compensation. I was further presented with claims about additional alcohol purchases and guest numbers that were not accurate, with no evidence provided to support them. Most concerning was being told that raising my complaint could negatively impact a friend who works there. This felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional, and came across as an attempt to discourage me from pursuing a legitimate concern. Overall, this experience showed a serious lack of organisation, accountability, and transparency. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking an event here.

Worse night sleep ever.if you’re…

Worse night sleep ever.if you’re staying at the Portsmouth MarriottI would strongly recommend you bring your own duvet as their duvet is very thin and the bed is made so that you can not cover your shoulders with the thin duvet
I had to use the bath towel to help cover me and I am only 5 foot 5
I even tried moving the pillows away from the headboard to help cover my shoulders but the my feet were sticking out of the bed
The company needs to learn how to make the bed and provide a proper duvet
Even when you need to use the bathroom you have to walk passed the bathroom to the front door to turn the bathroom light on then go back on yourself to get to the bathroom.
A big design fault or the electrian was being lazy

Marriott Hotel/ Regents Park/ hypocrisy

Marriott Hotel, Regents Park, (though it is NOT in Regents Park), it is in Swiss Cottage, a built-up residential area on the corner of a 4 way traffic junction, school and opposite a 22 floor Council residential Tower Block.
The Marriott HYPOCRITES claim to have an environmental friendly policy called SERVE 360.
They claim to reduce their carbon footprint, enhance climate change mitigation and to have a natural resource conservation policy that they implement.

However, despite having a small patch of grass around the Hotel, they still employ a private contracted Maintenance company named 'Blossom' who, every week, uses a LOUD and irritating LEAF BLOWER that blows out carbon dioxide, absorbs oxygen, spews dirt, dust and bird faeces into the air.
After years of this, they have killd any form of life life, ie, insects, ladybirds including wiping out their habitats, killed or scared away small animals such as squirrels, hedgehogs and scares away birds.
No matter how many times the management of the Marriott have been told in person and in e-mails, they ignore pleas from local residents to cease the soul-destroying and persistent drone of the pointless leaf blower, that goes on and on without ceasing every week.
Th leaf blower is pointless, since the Marriott have cut down any trees around the Hotel and there are no leaves to pick up and there is so little grass. It is mainly concrete, loose stones and bark chippings in the area around the Hotel.
A dust pan and brush would do a cleaner job than the air polluting leaf blower. The 'Blossom' contractor blows dust, dirt and any rubbish or papers onto the street which only blow back onto the Hotel grounds again. A pointless exercise, but extremely frustrating to local residents who have had to suffer the on-going noise of this irritating leaf blower, every few days, every week for years.

Many residents in the area, work from home. There are night workers who are trying to catch up on sleep, elderly people and small children trying to nap in the day.
The persistent drone is an on-going and a weekly nightmare that has been going on for years.
The Marriott Hotel in this residential part of Swiss Cottage, stick their fingers up at the environment and at local residents.
Their SERVE 360 environment support policy is a total farce. AVOID THE MARRIOTT. THEY ARE HYPOCRITES.

Event at Portsmouth Marriott

Held an event in Portsmouth, service was great, staff couldn't do enough for us. Stayed 2 nights, had an issue with the shower but they solved the problem straight away. Had dinner in their restaurant, the food was brilliant and we weren't rushed either. When a guest of our dinner event collapsed due to health reasons, the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us, helping us with whatever we needed. The coordinator throughout the organisation was brilliant offering lots of options, the coordinator on the night, was on top of everything ensuring everything was smooth and we had nothing to worry about. We had 80 guests and the timing of the food service was fantastic along with the quality of it. One guest is gluten free and she absolutely loved every course. Couldn't have asked for more from the hotel and staff. Will absolutely be using them for more events in the future!!

The London Marriott in Park Lane in…

The London Marriott in Park Lane in London

Stayed here and, hand on heart, it was superb. The room was beautiful, the food was sublime, and ALL the staff were warm. I didn’t pay for the room, which always adds a certain glow to the experience. 🤣🤣 Nothing quite matches the joy of luxury at someone else’s expense.

Now, a huge shout out to Eloise on the front desk.

She upgraded us for free; handled everything with the utmost confidence, and delivered a wonderful welcome. Professional, polished, genuinely friendly. First impressions matter…. She nailed it in under 10 seconds.

Hotels spend fortunes on marketing. Eloise does it in a smile. Keep hold of her. Staff like that bring people back. She is the hospitality equivalent of a 1999 Manchester United comeback, a young Serena Williams walking onto Centre Court, or the first time someone heard Adele and thought, right, this one is different.

Superstar. Absolute credit to the place. I will be back. Possibly still not paying.

Terrible experience with Marriott

Terrible experience with Marriott. I prepaid through Booking.com but was charged again at the hotel under the guise of a security deposit. Despite being entitled to a refund, Marriott has now, after repeated failed attempts to get in contact, refused to process it. Customer service has been dismissive, obstructive, and completely unhelpful. Hours wasted with no resolution.

Ventura beach Marriott needs help

Stayed at the Ventura beach Marriott for three nights the end of January 2026. This is a Marriott in name only. They advertise beach views but the beach is barely viewable steals.

The room was minimally supplied. No hair conditioner. No skin cream. One set of towels for 24 hours beds were not made. The room lighting was minimal. The list goes on. Do not expect a comfortable stay.

Book somewhere else!

Trust me, save your money and book somewhere else. Staff and management don't care about their guests. Complaints are ignored. Staff stole my card details to commit fraud and they done nothing about it. Just left me with additional expenses dealing with the inconvenience.

JW Marriott Grosvenor House London

Upon entering the hotel, I was closely followed and monitored by a member of your security staff (the individual stationed at the black door). His behavior was intimidating and made me feel as though I was being treated like a criminal. I was traced through the entrance in a manner that was both embarrassing and distressing.
