My son took his Maths A-level exam in Year 12 and received a B. Since he had set his sights on top universities, this result was a setback as many of these institutions require an A* in Maths for engineering courses. Determined to help him achieve his goal, we decided he would re-take the exam and re-apply the following year.

To ensure he was fully prepared, I sought out a Maths tutor. After meeting with a few tutors with whom my son didn’t feel comfortable, we were fortunate to find Imran.

From the start, Imran was professional and attentive, taking the time to understand my son’s learning style and specific needs. He developed a strategy to engage my son, who initially lacked motivation. Imran quickly established a structured routine of revision, mock tests, and mock exams. After every test, he provided a detailed report, offering insightful feedback. His constant communication and willingness to adapt his teaching methods played a crucial role in improving my son’s performance.

Thanks to Imran’s dedication and guidance, my son achieved an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths. While my son had the potential, I believe that without Imran’s support, these results would not have been possible. Despite his lower predicted grades, one of the top universities still made him an offer, contingent upon achieving their required grades.

I am incredibly grateful to Imran. He’s not only a fantastic tutor but also an excellent mentor and professional.

Imran tutored my son to do his maths A level in just 9 months. He just got an A*. Imran’s approach is structured and disciplined. He decided on the necessary pace and timetable and they kept to it throughout the year and despite the difficulties of multiple lock downs. He set multiple end of section tests and mocks so that by the time exams came he was very well prepared. My son found his explanation clear and helpful. I highly recommend Imran as a tutor.

When I began, I struggled with even some of the more basic concepts and questions in my syllabus. Over the past year and a bit, Imran has been able to not only cover virtually everything I needed to understand and catch up with my lessons, but has also helped me to achieve academic excellence, scoring a 100% on my last three (out of three) module exams over the course of this year. He has been extremely helpful, and understanding when I had last minute emergencies and could not attend a lesson, and his approach to online tutoring is not only quite innovative but actually quite a bit more helpful both in terms of time efficiency (not having to travel to and from tutoring as some other tutors might require) but also allowing for easier access on both sides to materials and exercise work.

Over just one month Imran covered the entirety of the OCR H240 single maths syllabus with me - starting from scratch and helping me to achieve an A* in circumstances where I had forgotten most of my Maths and previously been awarded a B by my school; he put together a granular checklist of what needed to be covered and we worked through it thoroughly and systematically to an agreed timetable.

Imran also compiled personalised homework tasks for me to complete each evening in order to consolidate our in-lesson learning and our lesson plans were always flexible enough to go over any difficulties I came across in homework. We used a variety of different resources and always focused on the most difficult questions from each topic, checking that I understood fully everything Imran taught me.

I've had both physical and remote lessons with Imran and his savvy use of technology meant that he was able to provide me with a tailored set of notes and worked solutions from each lesson (in the form of a JPEG file), which I found really helpful when it came to revision.

Outside of lessons Imran has always been reachable on WhatsApp, ready to be flexible about lesson times and seems to be someone who really cares about his students' success.

I cannot recommend Imran highly enough and have no doubt that I learnt far far more under just 1 month of his tutelage than I did during 2 years worth of lessons from my school!

Great  teacher. Imran is a high calibre graduate from UCL and a highly knowledgeable and an exceptional A level  Mathematics teacher, great in all areas . Imran seems to have well rounded knowledge of the subject, explains complex problems in a very simple , very well and an easy way. He has tutored my son Safwan for the last  2 years.  Instilled  good values and  Inspired by him , my  son Safwan  has achieved an  A* in A-level Mathematics and secured a  place to study Computer Science at UCL. We worked with Imran to review the results of the mock exam and remark the paper. As we didn’t have the mark scheme Imran proactively sourced the official mark scheme for each question. His report with the findings was very detailed. We were very satisfied with Imran’s work very much.

Through tuition with Imran I was able to go from a C to an A in my A Level resit. Lessons with him were flexible so I was able to cover topics even with last minute requests. Imran was not only thorough but also interesting. The topics in lessons were flexible to what I felt was most need and his ability to provide a question to demonstrate a concept on the fly was very impressive. The flexibility of lessons allowed me to have 5 or 6 difficult concepts explained within only an hour. Not only did we cover what was needed on topics but also more interesting and subtle ideas that neither the plane nor further maths syllabus delved into. Overall, would highly recommend Imran as an interesting tutor to not only explain maths but also make it interesting.

Imran is a reliable, patient and skilled tutor. His mathematics skills makes my son to be more confident in learning the subject. His teaching skills are engaging and effective thereby makes the subject to be more interesting and more comfortable for the learner. Imran always provides detailed feedback. I would recommend him highly and competent.

This is probably one of the best maths teachers I have met. The 1:1 teaching gives you more of an understanding and the resources he provides to help me understand different topics are amazing. Definitely 5 stars.

Imran was a focused and professional teacher who listened to our son and gradually built up his confidence in maths. Imran provided a systematic gap analysis approach which meant he could grasp even the most diffiicult aspects of A level maths. The 1:1 experience was very positive.
