The first job we gave to Mayfoar Plumbers, the engineer failed to find the on/off switch even after 1.5 hours of looking. To make matters worse, the engineer didn't even make a phone call to ask us where the switch is located! Then proceeded to try and justify their charges ! I spoke with Ricky, one of the owners who assured me he would speak to his engineer.
Adding insult to injury, because we complained, Mayfair Plumbers then rejected the first job and another job that was booked in. All because we complained. This left our customer without AC in the middle of this heat wave! Awful.
If a company is unwilling to learn from it's mistakes, they shouldn't be in business.
At least they refunded the call out charges.

Efficient and professional.
The engineer Archie, was quick and efficient. Very professional and clean. Replaced sink drainer and a section of waste pipe that was a solid block.

I paid £120 + VAT expecting the first hour of work to be included. The engineer attended, spent a short time inspecting the unit, and then quoted a further £520 + VAT for cleaning, with no guarantee that this would resolve the issue. The pricing structure was not made clear before booking, and it felt like the initial call-out was primarily used to generate a much larger follow-on quote. Very disappointing experience and poor transparency on costs.

At the time of booking, you were advised that the first hour was a chargeable investigation, which is also stated in our terms and on our website. The purpose of the visit was to diagnose the fault and determine what work would be required.
Following the inspection, our engineer found that your air conditioning system had never previously received a full strip-down clean. Both the indoor and outdoor units required a comprehensive deep clean due to their condition. The quotation provided reflected the work necessary based on what was found during the investigation. As with any repair or maintenance work, it would not have been responsible to guarantee the outcome until the required work had been carried out.
We believe in being transparent and providing customers with an honest assessment rather than carrying out unnecessary work or making guarantees that cannot be honoured.

My saviours during the heatwave
My air conditioning stopped working right in the midst of the heatwave. They came out the same afternoon and within the hour I had a lovely cool house again! Super happy with the service, same day visit and repair, price was so fair all things considering. Highly recommend and will be using in the future for any issues and servicing.

Nice guy and great price
I called and they came out to fix and service my air conditioning he was there really quick, he was friendly and funny! Didn’t mind our mad spaniel running around either! Price was great and I was very happy with how quickly he got the job done.

I called a technician to connect a new gas cookers
I called a technician to connect a new gas stove and check the gas system. I paid a £120 fee for the first hour of work. Then, a part needed for the connection was missing; the technician went to buy it and was gone for 20 minutes before returning to finish the job. The whole process took two hours, and in the end, he presented a bill for an additional £198! (I was happy to pay the £55 for the stove part without question, but where did that extra labor charge come from?) It seems very expensive to me—I feel I was overcharged for the gas connection! The total came to £318.

Unreliable and a rip off
I was charged for their plumber to come over on Friday afternoon to investigate a leaking pipe in the kitchen for which the water had to be turned off. He told my tenant he would call me to explain the job, but that never happened. After a weekend with no water I called the company many times the following 3 days and they had no information to give me about the urgent job they had taken. Only on Wednesday afternoon I was sent a quote: to replace a pipe which was in an area of difficult access, they would charge me £2.700. I contacted another plumbing company which was able to send a plumber the following day and the job was completed in the same morning. I was charged £500, and given 12 months guarrantee. Unless you want to trust unreliable people who will rip you off, do not use Mayfair Plumbers. (So this can be verified: property in N42HL, Quote 58895)

Absolutely rip off
Absolutely rip off, dishonest, delivered cowboy job. Arrogant plumber, extremely expensive, not reliable, charged me for £780 for a job hasn’t been resolved. The rude, unfriendly plumber explained something and wrote different t on his report. Gave me an invoice with no break down. Promised to send the photo of the parts he was changing, he never did. Problem hasn’t been resolved. Company asked me further £2500 if I really want to repair the water mixer tab. I send my concern by email to the company . The so called responsible person called me once, cold call, absolutely reluctant to reply to me by email. Unfortunately, I Trusted the check a trader’s app to find this company and that was my biggest mistake. Don’t trust the Mayfair Plumbers at all.

This is the worse experience I have had…
This is the worse experience I have had in a long time. I found these plumbers via Checkatrade. They charged me for 2 hours to replace a kitchen sink tap, previously the same tap had take 30 mins to replace. The plumber was slow - I could see he was taking his time to extend the time - and very rude. I would definitely not recommend Mayfair plumbers and they should be take off Chekatrade.
