Dodgy Little Business
EDIT: After submitting the below review, a member of Media Station emailed me with an apology, saying that their staff should have refunded me. They went on to offer me a refund, on the condition that I remove this review. Still unclear whether they really don't understand their obligations under consumer law, or simply don't care. Either way, steer clear.
Ordered an item from Media Station, and received the wrong colour. Advised them of their mistake; they replied that they ran out of the item I ordered and sent me an alternative instead. I told them I wasn't interested and requested a return, to which they refused, citing their returns policy. Plenty of back and forward; unable to make them concede I shouldn't have to keep something I never ordered.
Hard to tell if they're knowingly dishonest or just incompetent. Now resolving via a credit card chargeback. Very strange little business.

We have reviewed our records for your purchase of a shaver valued $18 and can see that when the Shaver colour you selected was out of stock, our team sent you an email to inform you of this and to advise that we would be shipping the identical model and specification of shaver, but in a different colour, to avoid further delay.
We understand that the colour may not have been to your preference. We also acknowledge that due to Australian health regulations regarding personal grooming devices, our returns policy for these items is very strict. The Policy is the same for all retailers, once Shavers are used, they cannot be returned.
This is a standard restriction we are legally obligated to follow.
To resolve this matter in good faith, we have offered you a full refund. Our prior offer of a full refund, with no need to return the item, was not accepted.
