Honestly pretty good, some of the reviews here are mixed so can't speak for how it was like before but my experience with Biology has been really good.

The experience was amazing since there were a large amount of questions available but some of the questions are not exam board friendly. Especially for sociology, the theories are not covered in the exam board. Other than that, its a great app!

I started using Medly because I wanted a quick way of practicing exam questions (for A level Biology) as this is what I struggle most with. I was finding I knew the content, but figuring out what the questions were actually asking was where I was losing marks.
The things I have found most helpful are:
- instant marking of exam questions
- very clear on how to get the marks I have missed
- helps me to understand exactly what the question is asking me
Areas to improve:
- sometimes feel like the marking is lenient or not harsh enough (biology aqa markschemes are very specific)
- gives you the markscheme straight away when it marks it - I would prefer if it gave it to you after you have figured out the correct answer
I think it is expensive for what it is and I would have considered it earlier if the price was lower, but it is a cheaper alternative to a tutor which is what it’s marketed to be. I definitely feel more confident when it comes to exam questions which is what I wanted. They have hundreds of exam questions for each topic which is great because I was struggling to find topic-specific questions. Overall I think it’s great.

Could be better I won’t lie it has a lot of potential the only wrong thing is that they give you the answer straight up if you get something wrong your supposed to build on it not get spoonfed

It’s well structured. It gives me the information of a topic with key points so I can revise before questions.i like that there is a paper section to it so I can practise. I feel like I can see and track my progress

i love the app and its so helpful but it is way to expensive to be paying

tried out the medly monday on biology and love it so much, so many questions especially 2-4 markers. Excited for the next few medly mondays especially for chemistry, maths, history and the english's. One thing I would say is that if theres a question that you get partially wrong or fully wrong, maybe we shouldnt get the mark scheme just yet so that when we try it again we dont fully know the answer? Also I had seen the exam builder from a while ago and I would love if it came back. Overall really amazing

Medley is overall a very good site for learning. It encourages active revision and overall good exam technique when answering questions. The AI chatbot is focussed and useful, and as far as I'm aware has never fed me false info or mislead me. The past papers I have available are useful and in depth, covering all topics within said paper. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is it lacks the History courses i'm doing at GCSE and choosing how many marks you want your question to have is impossible for any subject other than English Lang.

medly is so helpful because it saves me so much time and money that i would’ve spent to print endless exam questions. i love that when you get stuck on a question you can always ask the chatbot and it breaks tho question down without giving the answer straightaway which makes us actively recall knowledge and put it all together to hit those mark scheme specific points to achieve those higher grades. i love how concise and precise the marking points are which saves more time and is easier to understand where i’ve lost and gained marks.

When I first purchased this it was really good. However, I changed cards when I renewed and it lost all my daughter's progress. She was so upset.
I made a payment on the 4th January and there have been glitches. Despite my daughter and I changing the password she couldn't get in. There is nowhere to ring and chat wasn't working so I emailed Medleyai. As per their own advice. That was days ago and no response.
Very disappointed. It has been a waste of £25. My daughter has exams in May. There are cheaper options. Unless this is sorted and I get a refund I will not renew and will try a different provider.

Medly is a superb revision app that I in year 11 use frequently and it has with no doubt improved my grades dramatically from a 3 to 8-9s in most subjects.
FULLY reccomend using/purchasing for yourself or peers.

Overall I would reccomend people to use this. There is an almost unlimited amount of questions that I can’t see myself running out of anytime soon and they are overall very reflective of the spec. I think this is a perfect tool for people aiming for the A*s who need help perfecting their answers. After an hour and a half of going through the questions I feel far more confident to answer similar questions in an exam setting. However, there are issues, sometimes the ai marks far too leniently, and I want it to be overly harsh rather than overly lenient. The chatbot also tries to help you reach full marks when you get things wrong but hands you the markscheme before it starts to give the support. Furthermore, in psychology the papers are nowhere near reflecting real past papers and honestly I don’t even see a point in using them.
Also, there are certain markschemes which do not reflect the specificity of the specification and are more close to other exam boards, however this is a rare occurrence and I have only noticed this 2-3 times (but it should be 0).
Furthermore, it only allows you to filter by topic, I think an amazing feature would be to alllow us to filter by exam skill, because I don’t have time to get through the entire set in one revision block so allowing this feature would allow me to cover all the different skills I need without wasting time.
Overall If you can afford medly’s pricepoint then 100% I would reccomend, but if not do not feel that your are missing out on too much as I think the programme is simply too brand new to be perfect.

Medly is a really good way to revise, even better than flashcards since you can actually practice with practice questions and have a personal AI tutor that properly explains the concept until you understand. What I wish is there to be a more exam boards to study from since for some subjects, there are some subjects that have a different exam board, not AQA, Edexcel, ORC or WRC. For now I've been revising with exam boards that have similar topics to the subjects but I wish for there to be more exam boards to study from, like Eduqas for History and RE. There aren't any languages' subjects so I hope you will add that soon for some people taking languages as a GCSE or A-level. I hope that you will also add triple science subjects as well for people doing triple science, since there are no triple science options here.

I like the ai and how helpful it is and explains it in great detail when i don't understand something.
It would be better if there were some flash cards for the subjects and not just the exam questions.

Good for practice questions and learning just super expensive and could be coded better also has a lack of subjects-have sent them multiple emails to consider edexcel further maths a level since if I bought it i would have appreciated all the subjects I do

I really like using this app, but sometimes i ask a question to the ai and it completely dodges
it, to add to that, the maths system on this app isn't the best, but everything else works really well. I really want them to add flashcards though.

I’ve been using Medly for A-level AQA Maths and Physics, and honestly, the AI Tutor is a incredibly helpful. It’s actually designed to help you think through the steps rather than just handing over the answers, which has helped me get my head around Physics way better than I expected.
But, if you’re using it on a computer, be prepared for some serious frustration with the math tools. There’s a white symbol bar that constantly pops up and covers exactly what I’m trying to type. I can’t even see the bottom of my fractions half the time! The proportions of the boxes can't be adjusted, only increases depending on the size of the text.
Using the integration tool is also a mission because there aren’t proper spots for limits, so you have to 'hack' it with power symbols, the white symbol also covers the lower limits and then the AI sometimes fails to read it if it is not in the correct format.
Also, the AI occasionally provides math functions in raw LaTeX code in the chat when assisting and ignores you when you ask it to fix it. Reloading the page can fix this.
It make work like a dream on an iPad with a pen tool, but on a laptop, you spend more time fighting the text boxes than actually studying. It’s a great tool, but the desktop UI needs a massive fix.
