I was notified by email that my payment was Denied and that my account and activity didn't meet the Acceptable Use guidelines as outlined in their Terms of Service Agreement. I sent an email back to the verification team and did not receive any response back. I tried to complete the payment again and was denied again. I reached out to through the chat feature and was told "Unfortunately, your account has been deactivated and you are no longer able to process payments on our platform.
We cannot provide you with any further information at the Support level. Please email our Verification team if you require more information."
Chat provided the same email address I had already sent an email to with no response.
The Chat representative then stated after researching further: "It looks like they've reviewed the account. At this time, we cannot provide you with any further information. Please know that if we felt there was information that would have helped us in this decision, we would have reached out to request it. This isn't something that could be overturned at this time."
It is very disappointing as a business owner trying to make a payment transaction that I need to make to run my business that they would deactivate my account and deny all payments with no reason or explanation. I provided all of my account details and business documentation.
Very poor business practices!

Bad customer service. I'm weeks into getting a simple refund issue resolved that was the result of shady marketing practices on their end. The last person emailed me from support at melio.com telling me I needed to get in touch with the Support Team to get my question answered. They ARE the support team! The level of incompetence and internal lack of structure is a very bad sign. Plus, their marketing raises ethical flags. I do not like this company.

Accidently fell on keyboard and reached out IMMEDIATLY to them stating I did not want the wire vs. ACH. Needless to say, no one contacted me till after the wire was already done and they refused to do any credit or apologize for THEIR delay in the response time.

The customer service is not helpful. They repeatedly reference terms and conditions that do not apply to my payment. After so much back and forth, they eventually realized that the payment did not violate terms and conditions and approved it. They never gave me a chance to discuss it before that and ignored my messages or replied with the same canned reply that it violated the terms and conditions without any willingness to explain.
You are limited to emailing customer service and they do not provide much help at all.
Ultimately, they refused to expedite my payment to meet the due date even though the only reason it was delayed was because of their poor customer service and not reading their own terms and conditions / not actually working with me to evaluate the situation until I left a negative review.

As a legitimate small business using QuickBooks Online and BILL, I was shocked to receive a deactivation notice from Melio without any prior request for verification.
My company, MotherShip Hub LLC, has 4 months of recorded transactions, connected directly to QBO. I was never asked to submit my EIN, Articles of Organization, or even a bank statement — the decision to deactivate my account came with no outreach of any important business information. I have been in touch with the verification team for the last week now. It started through their "Chat team" and then it lead to email. I have requested a phone call time and time again, without any luck.
This is the last email I recieved from them: "As part of our regulations, we are required to thoroughly vet each account that uses Melio services to ensure that they are a small business and that their payment criteria is within the agreements we have with our processing partners. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify that MotherShip Hub LLC’s account and activity fall under our criteria. As such, the account has been deactivated and any pending transactions have been canceled. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused."
First off, WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS. Second off, "payment criteria" could mean so many things and I am happy to give any information regarding my business if I am just asked. I have stated this time and time again. As legitamate small business owners transitioning from Bill.com, we were excited to move our receivables to Melio — especially because of the ability to pass credit card fees to clients and simplify ACH payments.
I urge Melio to reconsider this approach. If a verification process is required, we should be asked to submit documentation, not summarily denied without explanation. This approach hurts small businesses that are trying to grow responsibly and operate transparently.

Debbie was great to work with and was quick to assist me with a different ACH email request. She also let me know for any future requests that it can only be sent every 48 hours.

Debbie was responsive and was able to research my issues and come up with solutions. Great interaction.

Quinn helped to get to the route of my payment hold issue. They were thorough with answering my questions and generally helpful. My low rating is not a reflection of them but a reflection of frustrations with Melio. It would be helpful to receive notice immediately when our account is on hold instead of having to reach out to investigate why our payments are not going through. Having to seek out info when something is not working properly has costed me a lot of time and left folks who are anticipating payments from us in lurch. This is a poor reflection on us (not on Melio) when we are late with delivering payments.

This platform is absolute garbage. Capital one transitioned to them back in Feb or Mar. I still can't get e-bills. Can't get paper bills either since bill pay was set up with Capital one Years ago! Also have to get a passcode EVERY TIME I want to look at billing. Visually it sucks too. When I set up advanced payments, it shows the date set up, not the pay date. Have to toggle back and forth between bill pay and Cap One and half the time need to get a new passcode in same session!!!! Annoying and makes no sense. Have been working with support since the transition and have accomplished nothing. Auto payments that were set up before the switch keep sending out even though I asked for them to stop ***This is a business account*** Complete mess!!!! have been late on payments to CC because not getting ebills.
