Intentionally deceptive

I created an account with Mental Labs to get the results of a test for $1.45. Little did I know, I was automatically enrolled in a monthly subscription of $39.95.

When I emailed them to cancel my subscription and ask for a refund, they said it was their strict policy not to offer refunds. I assume some responsibility for not reading the fine print, but a $40 charge for a $2 test is not cool.

Bottom line: They were banking on me accidentally subscribing to their service. If you pay for a test, watch out!!

I took a test I got swindled

I took a test. Paid $1.99 for the results. They told me I had an account. Nothing else. No trial period, no extra charges. 3-days later I get charged $39.95. What?! Talk about shady business practices. They refuse to give the charge back because I accessed content. In other words, because I logged in and looked at my test result; that I paid for upfront, now I must pay $40 a month. What a racket.
