ENGLISH:

Think about your safety before booking Hôtel Mercure Paris La Défense Grande Arche—far safer options exist nearby. After 4 months of management ignoring a severe safety incident, I now write this review to alert the public. (See photos; search YouTube: “Hôtel Mercure Paris La Défense Grande Arche - Ceiling collapse”).
On July 1, 2026 (Room 604), a heavy metal spotlight panel collapsed from the ceiling, striking my head. Live wires touched my arm, delivering a 240V AC shock that threw me into the wall. Earth wiring was deliberately disconnected/bypassed—a breach of French code NF C 15-100.
The shock tripped 6th-floor power. Reception restored power using a butter knife(!) and gloves. I was left to move rooms in the dark past live wires with zero medical checks. Post-checkout, emails were ignored for 4 months. Only after a SignalConso filing did Accor offer 1 free night, while falsely claiming I waited 8 days to report it (email trails prove this lie). Management's total indifference leaves this in the hands of French authorities (DDPP).

Customer service is as worse as it gets

Hotel is great. Customer support is about the worst that you can get. Reaching out via their support on their website. Dont bother. Reaching out via whatsapp, please prepare to wait for hours and to restart describing your issue to a new employee every 30-60 minutes without any progress.
Trying to connect my flying blue account to my all accor account for 6 weeks already, chatted with more than 10 support desk employees and made 0 progress. Asking for a call or a manager will result in silence and you having to start explaining your problem to a newly appointed service desk employee.

Still hoping to find someone capable at All Accor to resolve this issue.

Update, they will not call. I can call them. But I will have to learn French first. Hilarious

⚠️ WARNING TO ALL DJ's, MUSICIANS & BANDS !!
Please be cautious when accepting gigs at this hotel, particularly when dealing with manager Rohit Singh Bisht !
Do not put yourself in a position where you perform a gig and then have to chase your payment.
Eventually you will not get paid anyway !
I had a very disappointing experience here. The manager’s behaviour came across as highly unprofessional and disrespectful. I would not recommend this place at all unless you want to do a free gig. Musicians deserve respect, professionalism, and timely payment for their work !
VERY COWARD AND DISRESPECTFUL PERSON - ROHIT SINGH BISHT. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!

**One of the Worst Hotel Experiences of…

**One of the Worst Hotel Experiences of My Life – Absolutely Disgraceful**

After driving over 600 miles from Italy towards the UK, we were absolutely exhausted and decided to stop in Calais for one night to rest before continuing our journey home.

We booked this hotel, ibis Calais Car Ferry, directly through the official website, expecting a basic but comfortable place to recover after such a long drive.

Unfortunately, the experience was absolutely appalling.

Only after checking in did we discover that the hotel had no hot water due to an equipment failure. When I raised this issue with reception, I was simply told that the problem was temporary and that there was currently no hot water.

What makes this particularly unacceptable is that **there was absolutely no warning or notification about this problem when I made the reservation, nor was I informed when I arrived at reception and paid for my stay.**

For someone who has just driven more than 600 miles, being able to take a hot shower is not some luxury or unreasonable expectation. It is a basic requirement of hotel accommodation. Had I known about this serious problem beforehand, I would never have booked this hotel.

I was so physically exhausted that I simply did not have the energy to leave, find another hotel and go through the whole process again, even if it meant losing the money I had already paid. The hotel effectively left me with no practical alternative.

To make matters worse, the facilities were dated and the sound insulation was extremely poor, making the overall experience even less comfortable.

The only positive aspects were the relatively large free car park and its convenient location near the Eurotunnel terminal. However, these advantages are nowhere near enough to compensate for such an unacceptable experience.

This was, without question, one of the worst hotel stays of my entire life. The lack of hot water, combined with the complete failure to inform guests in advance, caused unnecessary physical discomfort and considerable frustration at a time when we desperately needed rest.

I find this way of operating utterly unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Guests deserve to be informed of major facility failures before they arrive, so they can make an informed decision about whether to stay.

I will certainly never stay at this hotel again, and I would strongly advise anyone considering booking it to think twice, particularly if you are travelling long distances and need a proper night's rest.

Dangerous entrance

Hotel: Movenpick Brussels Airport,
The entrance behind the door on the inside has 2x a virtualy invisible height difference. 2 persons in our group tripped and one needed to go to first aid. No good way to place a complained on the accor site. New hotel nice rooms, Breakfast is good. Room temperature was too high at 26C and after 2 nights airco did still not lower it to a comfortable level.

A Loyal Admirer of Novotel Left Deeply Disappointed – No Empathy, No Support, No Alternative

Having stayed at Novotel properties across Asia, I trusted the brand’s hospitality. Sadly, Novotel Suites Mall Avenue Dubai has shattered that trust before I have even set foot in the hotel or made my first visit to Dubai.

We requested to postpone our October 2026 stay to March 2027 due to Middle East travel safety concerns. Despite providing flight documentation and seeking management intervention, the hotel showed little willingness to explore alternatives. Our agent repeatedly tried to help, while Emirates assisted with our flight rebooking.

What was most unacceptable was the Novotel agent’s dismissive response when I asked whether I needed to “grow some wings” to reach Dubai under the circumstances. The agent simply replied, “Yes.” We were also told not to contact the hotel again. To make matters worse, Customer Care never responded to my email raising these concerns, leaving us feeling completely ignored.

I understand that policies exist, but courtesy, empathy, and communication should be basic standards of hospitality. A refusal is one thing; rudeness and silence are another.

I urge Accor management to review both our booking dispute and the conduct of the representatives involved. It is deeply disappointing that a brand I once admired has damaged my trust before my very first stay. I will think twice before choosing Novotel or another Accor property again.

BEWARE

BEWARE - Accor Plus will slam you without notice by cancelling your priviliges. The excuse is they "detected a suspicious connection attempt" on your account. But give NO details. They will happily take your booking AND your money - but tell you at check-in any privilages attached to your membership are SUSPENDED... and you have to unsuspend it. Well!. What does this mean you ask? ....you have send them offiical Governent ID of some description to put agianst your membership. This is complete BS. No-one needs to give a passport over to a loyalty program. If you rely on priviliages - its like having a gun put to your head. Give them your most secure and sensitive information, or get stuffed and remain suspended. And I have been a Platinum member for 10 yrs! And tripple verified myself by speaking to them on my 'designated mobile number' and refering to the hotel manager who check me in...using my official ID. And by the way -as noted- Accor still happy to rack up $$$$$$ on your credit card, and and take bookings, but no... this is not enough ...the loyalty program MUST HAVE YOUR OFFICIAL GOVT ID in their database !!!! Why do they do this ? Because your information is that much more valuable when then they sell to third parties. How to know this request by ACCOR is complete BS - because in step 1 to to be 'unsuspended' is to reset your password...and they send an email to your VERIFIED address to do this.... . If i was a 'suspicious imposter', and a 'security threat', ... guesse what... I just logged in to the account and changed the password.

Accor is a joke

Don't book with Best Price Guarantee. Rejections with shifting reasons

I booked Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich directly on accor.com (non-refundable rate, stay 18–21 Nov 2026). Within the 24-hour window I found the identical offer — same hotel, same dates, same Superior Twin room, same no-breakfast and non-refundable conditions, same two guests — cheaper on Yandex Travel, a public booking site. I submitted a Best Price Guarantee claim (#25860223) with five screenshots showing the rate, the room, the dates and the terms.
The claim was rejected four times, each time on a different ground. The first reply took two weeks — the maximum stated processing time — and arrived only after I chased support myself.
First: my phone screenshots didn't show the capture date. On Android the status bar shows only the time; the date appears only when you pull down the notification shade — which physically covers the page you are trying to capture. A single standard screenshot cannot show both. Accor's own public Help page, which I followed, never mentions an on-screen date. The original files' system metadata (creation timestamps, matching the on-screen clock to the minute) proved exactly when they were taken — dismissed without examination.
Second: a new claim that the Yandex rate "required login". It does not: I reached the card payment form fully signed out and sent a screenshot of it. Rates and availability were publicly visible without any account.
Third: my desktop screenshot, with the OS date and time visible in the taskbar, showed the Yandex rate still below accor.com — it has been lower throughout this entire period. Still rejected. My offer to cancel and immediately rebook the same stay through Accor's direct channel at the matched rate, at zero loss to Accor, was refused because my rate was non-refundable.
Fourth: a brand-new rule — only documents submitted on day one may be considered, so all the corrective evidence above was simply ignored. My request for the procedure to escalate to a senior manager was answered with "your feedback has been recorded".
A guarantee is a promise of trust. What I received was two months of formalism, moving goalposts, and a support line that confirmed the platform's eligibility in writing before my booking and then disregarded its own confirmation. Book direct at your own risk.

No proper security measures no proper follow up

The worst experience with managing the security of their clients accounts. I suddenly found that my points were used my nationality and gender were change on the all Accor application! Until now they have not reinstated my points stolen nor given any explanation on how my points were used WITHOUT any notification sent to my email that my personal details were changed or my points were used!
Until now I did not receive my points back nor the explanation on their extremely bad security levels of their application! It has deeply shaken all the trust in them

ACCOR ALL MEMBERSHIP PLANS -DONT FALL …

ACCOR ALL MEMBERSHIP PLANS -DONT FALL INTO THE FEMALE VOICES CALLING YOU REPEATEDLY FOR Membership. The online travel portal and food dinning loyalty apps provide a much better discount without paying any upfront hefty fees. Also the customer service sucks, just lip service courtesy but no resolutions. They can slip in policy change and push it on to their Terms and Conditions that are difficult to pursue legally. ALL in ALL it's BULLSHIT that they are selling you

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Having booked a room in the Ibis Central Manchester hotel for June 12th 2027 in error, I requested a date change to the 11th June within 30 minutes. I was informed that nothing was available on that date. I then requested a cancellation only to be told l couldn't cancel or get refunded. I called the hotel to be told I couldn't cancel or expect a refund even with a cancellation fee. I said this was unreasonable considering it was 9 months away. Getting nowhere l messaged the CEO Karelle Lamouche explaining my dilemma. To date nobody has shown the courtesy of a response. This poor and unprofessional service from such a large corporate group is appalling and as CEO, Karelle Lamouche should look into how to hold on to customers rather that lose them at the first hurdle.

My experience with ALL Membership has…

My experience with ALL Membership has been absolutely disgraceful.

Last year, I booked a hotel in Dubai using my hard-earned membership points. The booking was cancelled due to the war, and I was left waiting for my points to be returned. To this day, I have still not received them.

What makes this situation even worse is that I was specifically instructed by customer service to make another hotel booking, with the assurance that my points would be refunded. I trusted their word, followed their instructions, and still nothing happened.

I feel completely misled and let down by a company that should value its loyal members. Making promises to customers and then failing to honour them is simply unacceptable.

I have wasted an enormous amount of time chasing something that should have been resolved a long time ago. The lack of accountability, transparency, and proper customer support is shocking.

This is not just about points; it is about trust, honesty, and how paying and loyal members are treated.

I expect ALL Membership to take responsibility, stop making empty promises, and return my points immediately.

Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this membership programme. A loyalty programme should reward its members, not leave them feeling cheated and ignored.

Be Careful with money you pay......

Be Careful with money you pay......
I have stayed at IBIS Budget hotel,
Bd Suzanne Clément, 76400 Fécamp, France.

I booked my online booking through AGODA.com for two nights. Payment was made online for complete package.
However on arrival at Hotel reception they asked me to pay for 1 night charges on refundable basis. It was assured to me that I will get my refund credit to my payment method (in this case it was credit card).

But now its been more than 2 months, I am following this refund issue with Hotel reception, Accor and Agoda also but refund is not received.

Be Careful when you make additional payment. You will loose your energy to retrieve it back. System is not transparent and Accor will direct you to hotel reception and response from Fecamp property is really poor. Now I have raised this dispute with cross broder council. Hopefully I will get my refund. I have all proofs with me.

Novotel Lisboa

As a long-standing Accor member who has stayed across the group’s portfolio, from Raffles through to ibis Styles, and with family members who work for the Accor brand, I am particularly disappointed by my experience at Novotel Lisboa.

During my stay I experienced multiple service failures, including 43 unanswered calls to Reception. I was subsequently told that the Reception telephone had been left on silent, meaning the calls were not even ringing through to the team. I ultimately had to physically attend Reception to get assistance.

I also experienced poor room-service delivery, including cold food, incorrect drinks and missing items. Housekeeping then attempted to enter my room at around 10am despite the stated 12pm checkout.

Unfortunately, the handling of my complaint was equally disappointing. Despite repeatedly contacting the hotel and escalating the matter to Accor Customer Care, it took around two weeks and multiple follow-ups to receive a substantive response. I was ultimately offered 2,000 ALL points as a goodwill gesture.

The issue with Reception was also frustratingly characterised as the hotel being unable to answer calls “as quickly as I expected”. That was not my complaint. I was told the telephone had been left on silent, which I found particularly concerning given that Reception should be contactable by guests in urgent situations.

Having experienced Accor hotels ranging from Raffles to ibis Styles, I can say that I have never experienced this level of service or complaint handling within the group. It is especially disappointing given my loyalty to Accor and my family’s connection to the brand.

I have accepted the goodwill gesture, but I have no confidence in returning to Novotel Lisboa and would not choose to stay there again.

Very disappointing member system.

Very disappointing member system.

I have been an Accor Gold member for several years, and each year we receive two complimentary stay nights as part of the membership. Unfortunately, despite trying repeatedly to use these benefits, we have never been able to successfully book a stay using them.

Every time we search for suitable dates and properties, the complimentary nights appear to be unavailable. Another year is now approaching and, once again, it looks like these benefits will expire unused.

This is extremely frustrating for a paying member. The membership is promoted as providing meaningful benefits, yet in our experience, the benefits are often very difficult to actually use when we want to travel.

We also regularly find that non-members can access better room rates than the rates offered to members. As a Gold member, it is difficult to justify continuing to pay for a membership when the advertised benefits provide little practical value and we can sometimes get better prices simply by booking elsewhere.

Overall, the experience has left me questioning the value of Accor membership. At this point, it feels more like an ongoing expense with very limited return rather than a genuine loyalty program that rewards its paying members.

I would strongly encourage Accor to review the availability and usability of the complimentary stay benefits and ensure that paying members can actually access the benefits they are promised.
