Wouldn’t even approve FMLA for pregnancy. TRASH.

This short term disability insurance is absolute trash. Save your money and leave time and avoid this company like the plague. They wouldn’t even approve my FMLA claim for pregnancy. The supposed case manager “Shayanna” never called me. I submitted all the paperwork they requested and nothing. I got tired of dealing with them. Clearly this company exists only to take your money and never follow up on any claims.

This company is an absolute JOKE

0 stars and don't waste your time.

This company is an absolute JOKE. I called bc the website is not working, so I can't access anything. Actually it says that I can't access my documents and forms and then you can't navigate anywhere else because it is just spinning. I asked for my EOB to be emailed to me and I was told that my only option is fax or mail, which will take 10-15 days!?!?! Who uses a fax machine? Then the phone just cut off so there was no resolution.

So, now because of their website's problems and awful inefficient processing, I am going to have to pay the price. My flex card benefit card is going to be inactivated because I can't get them my EOB on time.

2 strikes they are OUT

2 strikes they are OUT! Been arguing them for 5 months to get the remainder of my son's ortho treatment done. Max Benefit $1,500 and they have paid $1,050 total and stopped paying because treatment was done.. it was not done, still has braces and ortho bills kept on coming in. It took 5 calls and 1 conference call with my provider to get it corrected. The issue was Met Life Reps were not filing the continuation of coverage correctly, my orthodontist did everything right. Took 5 months to help them do their job correctly. Scenario #2 I visited a 1) dentist that was In Network 2) The company was in network and 3) the Location of this dental chain was in network.... HOWEVER, that covered dentist, with the covered company and covered location COMBINED was not "in-network" -so they charged me $1,200 for a basic cleaning and checkup as an OUT OF NETWORK provider. I called and the Philippines agent told me that is correct. Just because a dentist is covered at a company at ONE address does not mean they are covered at another address ( same dentist, same company). How are we supposed to know this when we login to METLIFE and click "Find an in-network provider" and that company and dentist come up? Now I due to pay $1,200 when the original estimate I got was $244. This is not right. MetLife Dental needs to do better. Every claim should not be a fight. Advocating for myself and my family with MetLife has felt like a second job lately. They exhaust you to the point you just want to give up.

If I could give zero stars for their…

If I could give zero stars for their medical flex account handling, I would. They wanted an itemized receipt for a transaction at the urgent care. First of all, what would someone purchase other than medical services at an urgent care?! I know they are governed by the IRS rules. However, they do all communication electronically, and once the receipts were submitted, they still want to hold the funds for 2-3 days while the claims center reviews the receipts. Meanwhile, I don’t have access to my funds to buy prescriptions. Bottom line, this company is terrible to deal with and I hope my employer chooses a different company to handle their flex accounts!

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would, these customers service reps can't be licensed and bonded. The don't return phone calls, send bad emails and have know idea what they are doing. I have been trying to file a claim for over a week when they told me that it only takes 10 days. This insurance is through my job, we need to fight for a better company.

Once again

Once again, I am trying to extend my short term disability, due to doctors orders,I cannot return to work. So, met life tells me they have sent my surgeon all of the paperwork to fill out, 2 different times. So I wait and wait, I call my claims rep, email them, leave messages etc. I went to my surgeons office today to see what the hold up was, and 3 different people told me, and showed me my file, and the paperwork WAS NEVER SENT TO THEM🤬

Attempting to Surrender my father's…

Attempting to Surrender my father's life insurance policy. I've tried for over a month to talk to someone via phone and I usually fail. If 'successful' in talking to a person they transfer me to another number, that does fail. The phone tree is relentless, and after 20 mins of being on hold, it hangs up on me. I am now at the point where I will have to pay the next year's premium or lose the policy as I approach the end of the grace period. I will contact state regulators.

Terrible

Terrible! I rang to cancel the policy and fair enough, this was a pleasant experience. On this call I was assured I would be refunded for the payment already made. I waited and then emailed to ask for an update how long this should take. I was then told within 30 days. This time period has passed so I’ve emailed again to be responded to with “the policy has been terminated there is no refund due”!!! Absolutely terrible!

Avoid at all cost

It wasnt clear how much of my investment goes to managing fees and its more than 60%. Also, when i was consulting with agent, i was told that i will go with low/medium risk stocks, but they invested everything into high risk and lost my money.

The best of all, i asked them to add my mother as beneficiery in case of death. They didnt add any name.

When I tried to cancel, it took more than 3 months, because their website was broken and their support takes weeks to answer.

Bad experience and expensive lesson.

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!
Agents are all imcompetent, unreliable... Assigning new agent without asking permission from the policy holder... Communicating with Metlife is like a HELL you have to pass through, yet nothing happens for them to accommodate their clients' concerns... they only care about dues for payment! This is a totally nightmare wasting all your time, money and effort investing to this incompetent insurance company!
By the way, this is Metlife UAE... they are deceiving their clients, keep changing the website, portal and misleading the people with their personal information...

Tried to cancel policy met life uk

Tried to cancel policy! I've cancelled my direct debit so hopefully that will cancel my policy. The emotional black mailing and manipulation tactics are appalling. Felt bullied into policy, yes I'm over weight. Was made to feel stupid and ashamed, and met life was my only option, if I had seen reviews wouldn't have bothered, cancel my policy EPS001788 met life! My experience with MetLife's customer…

My experience with MetLife's customer service has been terrible. Paying by bank transfer is a nightmare ,it must be sent a check every year,it took them three months to process a payment, and then they claimed it was late. Changing my address was as complicated as transferring property ownership. Everything about dealing with MetLife has been dreadful. Avoid doing business with MetLife at all costs, unless their CEO is replaced.
