Don't trust them with your valuables! My elderly aunt hired Metro Van Lines to ship rare, valuable furniture to me two states away. MVL assured her they would carefully disassemble and reassemble these pieces at each site. One piece was an antique piano. Upon arriving at my home, two movers were not up to the task. One reeked of pot. They did not even know what cargo they had and were not able to reassemble it. They left the furniture in pieces in the middle of my house. The piano was dropped because the two men couldn't handle the piece. Efforts to contact the home office were not successful. A complaint to Better Bureau Business elicited no response. Unsurprisingly, this company is not registered with BBB. This is simply not an accountable company. It has absolutely no business caring for your valuables.

Left an $800 deposit and now their site is down and I can’t contact anyone. I only found out because I called to tell them my address once I secured an apartment. Don’t go with them. They’re a scam

Pickup crew did a great job, Sales representative made any additional costs clear. All deadlines were met. Over all a great experience.

Metro Van Lines made my move a breeze! My representative was persistent in earning my business and the customer service did not stop there! Dispatch was in constant contact regarding the delivery and updating me on where my items were. I am recommending this company!

Horrible. Got a $ quote, paid a % of that. Then a month later an amended $ quote, paid a % of that totaling almost $3,000. Then, just prior to pickup they wanted balance paid. This I refused. They refused to supply refund and my CC company sided with them. This disabled vet cannot afford losses like that.

Metro was in contact with me until the movers didn’t show up. Not only was the estimate I was given and the actual cost of my move doubled, The movers assigned didn’t show up on the designated day. That’s when no one from Metro could be located. The company was closed on Thursday & Friday; even dispatch couldn’t be located for help. When the movers showed up (late) the next day, they added 200 SF to the load without measuring. What good was Metro’s SF if it’s wrong? It’s a horrible company. Do not believe the “reviews”!

SCAM. This is a bait and switch company. Told me it would cost me $2600 to move and then head another company show up demanding $6000 at the last minute the day of the move. Then when they delivered my furnature. The TV was broken and boxes were missing. This company showed up in a horse trailer with my stuff!!! Then when I filed a claim they only offered me $60. Don't let this happen to you! I am contacting a lawyer.

I wish I could give them 0 or negative stars. I got scammed by these guys. Paid a deposit of $694 and no one showed up. Calling and texting and emailing to no avail.

Scammers! Bait and switch. First off they are not movers but brokers. They demand payment by ACH, cash or postal money order - you can't fight back that way. Scheduled them for a move - price went up $900 and when I call to find out why I get the runaround, no one calls me back. They took an UNAUTHORIZED ach payment from my account. FRAUD! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! In response to the reply. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE SECOND PAYMENT! You executed fraud and I am pursuing it.

Was extremely satisfied with the promptness and service provided. I had a last second move for a job opportunity out of state (had to be there within two weeks) and got ahold of Metro Vanlines. They were very prompt and transparent of exactly what was to be expected of me and exactly what I should expect from the movers. I would definitely use metro van-lines again and recommend them to anyone moving out of state.

Thank GOD I dodged a bullet & last minute decided to look this company up before paying any money. The sale guy being extremely pushy for me to immediately pay a deposit of $800.. he was SO pushy.. I explained in the beginning of the call that I couldn’t do anything today, that my move is urgent but I’m waiting on my tax refund to do anything, that I can pay the deposit as soon as I get my refund & id need to be moved out within 3 days of my taxes hitting. This guy asked me for my bank information, wanted my account & routing number where my refund would be going.. that was a HUGE red flag. My husband was listening in & right when he asked for that he searched the name of the company & this all came up, review after review of people being scammed & their money being taken just to either not receive the service at all, or for the estimate to change AFTER a huge deposit was paid. He actually had me on hold when we saw all that & I just hung up, found a local company that can move me 1300 miles for almost half the price of metro. Metro first said it’d be $3200 something but that they gave me a $700 discount making it $2500.. the company I’ve found in commerce city, are moving me for $1500. I don’t have much I have to take, it’s actually below minimum, so they didn’t need to charge me for all this extra stuff metro wanted to charge me for.. after I found this other company, metro kept calling me from their Florida number, 4 times & I didn’t answer, they used a fake number to call me from a Colorado number, when they’re in Florida, I told the guy we found all the reviews & im no longer interested, & hung up.. not even 5 minutes later another guy calls me, again, from a Colorado number & he wanted to argue lol. He asked me about the reviews so I pulled them up, read part of the first 3.. he said “that’s out of how many reviews? We can’t please everyone” I said, well there’s many more saying the same thing & it’s not about pleasing everyone it’s about y’all scam everyone. I said there’s currently 29 reviews on this site alone & 52% of those are 1 star reviews, all saying y’all scammed them. & for y’all to want my bank numbers?!? That’s crazy. & I asked him to stop calling me, again, he laughed & said “I’ll call back as soon as you hang up & then I’ll call again & again.” I said “thank god I’ve been recording this. Can’t wait to post it.” & hung up. He hasn’t called yet but I just started making this right after I hung up.

They are a broker that sends un licensed SCAM movers like "Movers and Packers Relocation Specialist" to do your move. You will pay twice the rate you are told and be lucky if you get your stuff delivered EVER. Metro Van lines LLC ain’t it. So, my bf took over the moving part of our giant relocation 2,000 miles away. Boy, did we dodge a bullet. After searching for movers on Google he got connected with Metro Van lines(Hollywood, FL). They seemed reputable (good reviews, BBB score, etc.) However, they only provide a quote. They then contracted our move with another company, called Movers and Packets Relocation Specialist - the worst! We don’t know this until they arrive, days late, with one guy in a Budget box truck w/no license plates. He video records everything in our house and then says it will be double the original quote. We look up his company on BBB, it has an F rating and not licensed to move jack… the comments are horrible. The Google search also produce several active lawsuits and a FB group for victims. It’s a scam! We told the guy to beat it and lost the deposit and we were lucky ones. Be careful out there!

DO NOT use this company!!!!!! Like most others are saying this is a big scam with the worst communication. They pressure you to commit without notifying you that they are THIRD PARTY MOVERS and you will not even be doing directly through them! Ben is a liar and pusher as I am sure all other representatives for this company are. They failed to let me know so many details of my move and assured me my stuff would be here in 7-10 business days. It is 2 MONTHS later and I have not received my stuff and am still being asked to pay double what I am quoted. My belongings sat in storage for a month without me being notified. The receptionist is the most rude woman I have ever spoken to on the phone. Very very disappointed and warning to all before committing to this pos company. Just because they quote you a low rate they are lying, you will most likely get scammed into paying more and that’s how they get you. I don’t want anyone else to have to experience what I have been. Good luck and warning to stay away from METRO VAN LINES at all costs. Oh & notice that all the reviews from September 7th are 5 star and every other one for the most part is 1 star with a similar situation???? Someone from their company wrote those reviews with the corniest titles. You guys are awful and should be ashamed of the “work” you are putting out into the world. Wouldn’t you rather go home happy knowing you helped people instead of lying and scamming others to get your quick money????

Really great experience honestly. My boyfriend and i moved from MO to TX and we had like 100 quotes with prices all over the place. Now it wasn't the cheapest but the move was completely stress free. The sales rep was transparent but kind and you could tell was educated well in the industry. Very thorough with everything which made me feel extremely comfortable. Honest people and good quality.

Worst moving company ever! They have to worst communication and won’t tell me where my things are. I’m moving from Texas to Kansas and I have yet to get my things. I was told originally it would take about 2-7 days to get my things and it’s going on 9 days. I haven’t been able to get a hold of anybody since they picked up my things. I am calling every number I have for them, because I’ve been passed around to about 6 different people, and I am either on hold for an hour or more (which they don’t answer anyway) or the number goes straight to voicemail. I would rather have used the thousands of dollars it took for them to move my things on getting entire new things. For how much they charge, I would have expected my things by now. Or at least better communication. I am currently having the worst experience with them. They are horrible. Never getting them for a move EVER again.

PLEASE, PLEASE BEWARE OF FRAUD. I wish my MIL had seen these bad reviews before putting down the deposit. Don't listen to the 5 star reviews. She was quoted over the phone $3500 which included the gas, she then put down the deposit of $1546. When the driver got there he upped the price to $11,000 + gas. So she cancelled the job on the spot and the company refused to return the deposit. Who does that in business especially now. To me this is absolute fraud. DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY, METRO YOU ARE 100% IN THE WRONG FOR DOING THIS AND I CAN SEE FROM OTHER REVIEWS YOU HAVE DONE THIS TO OTHERS. Oh now Metro, total BS. You were called and notified before arrival that they had added ONLY a washer & dryer and you had already upped the original price $500. So you are telling me that adding ONLY a washer & dryer went from $3500 to 11k, that is why they cancelled on the spot...haha try again. Not buying the excuse. You do know you have received multiple bad reviews because of this, you might want to change your business practices. Just a thought guys really...

This company uses really high pressure, reassuring sales tactics to make you put down your deposit without considering other options and then does not communicate at all. My three day window of pick up starts today and I still haven’t been contacted about when the truck will be here. I flew across the country to my apartment to meet the movers and have no return flight and have had to call off of work because I can’t make any plans. I have no idea when they will come. I finally got ahold of someone from the company to try to tell me a date and time. They STILL haven’t told me when the movers are coming. I was told I was going to know in the week leading up. Who can just be available any time in a three day window?? I am scared they are then going to charge me terrible fees as the other reviews claim. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It has pushed me into intense anxiety and losing lots of money and time. I feel very upset with the experience and straight up scammed
