account blocked for nothing !!!

Outlook is causing the biggest problem of my life. I’m stuck in the Philippines and I can’t access my email. Outlook keeps sending a 4-digit code to a phone number I no longer have. I have my passport to prove my identity but I still can’t get in. It’s been almost a week. All my flight tickets and bank access are linked to this email. I can’t contact real support and I feel completely stuck and helpless. Please help me — I urgently need access to my account.

Licensing going wrong

Licensing going wrong !
Licensing models completely unclear, verging on scam, with mix of cores, physical machines, licenses you buy for some cores AND some VMs, extra cores ? Must buy from a reseller. Resellers rephrase options, making it even more obscure. Shall my company use linux for simplicity, or should continue in this quagmare ? ps: When contacted, the reseller couldn't even answer a simple question after 1 week: what options should I buy if I want to install product X on virtual machine Y.

Microsoft website is total scam

Do not buy from microsoft website, they are total scam and charges twice the transaction, and after contacting the support for a week they don't bother themselves to check the issue! They are just thieves! Stay away.

I bought Xbox game pass for PC and it…

I bought Xbox game pass for PC and it was visible on my microsoft account, payment had been taken, but it was not visible on my xbox pc app. Therefore, whenever I tried to access a game on game pass it tried to make me pay a second time. I contacted for support from microsoft and they called me asking for me to give them remote access to my pc. This wasy personal pc with my data on, obviously I did not want to do this. However, this was also unnecessary as online, the microsoft account read that I had the pass activated but my xbox pc app did not, this should have been clear from their end. I asked them to talk me through the procedure rather than using the remote access but was refused. I asked if there was another method that would be used but was told no. The same result could have been achieved via screenshots without sharing remote access.
The fact that they were 'unable' to support without this remote access is absurd. Giving remote access allows them to access anything on the pc from their location. As passwords etc are also saved online they would have access to account details as well.

Ended up leaving the phone conversation and cancelled the games pass to get a refund. Even if this is their support policy it is so unbelievably sketchy and unsafe. Because of this, I don't get the £1 games pass offer if I want to attempt repurchase at a later date.

Microsoft edge is a joke

Microsoft edge is a joke. A but like 'Little Britain'. Computer says "no" several times before starting up. Tried to get into Outlook today but could not remember password. Had no internet so had to use date. Code sent to alternative email address but could not get back to sign in after picking up code. Am exhausted and still no Outlook. Smoke signals from now on? Maybe it is MY fault.

Thief company

I used One drive from Microsoft for years for sharing folders between my mobile phone, desktop computer and laptop.
I shared university material, assignment projects for 5 different modules, also as a graphic designer I shared hundreds of projects and folders with ideas between these devices with thousands of photos regarding to study, work, and my hobby as a photographer.
A couple of months ago I tried to access a folder for my university assignment, and I received a message saying my account closed because I “seriously violated the Microsoft agreement.”
I contacted Microsoft asking what is going on, why they closed my account, and why they banned me from accessing my folders on my own computer without any warning so I can stop sharing those folders?
I received the most arrogant and unprofessional attitude from the Microsoft customer service a from the security department.
I’ve been treated as a criminal and I feel humiliated by the fact that when I ask what the reason is for the closing of the account I have an answer such as “We won’t open the account nor telling you why!” This is the attitude of a five year old children, and this is so disappointing that people like this working at Microsoft in 2021.
After months of back and forth questions and arguments they are ignoring my communications with meaningless answers or no answers at all, but their system still interfering with my desktop because I'm unable to access any of my files on my computer which is my property and Microsoft do not own anything on my computer!
I searched through all my folders on all my devices and after these months I still don't know the reason for the closure, still don't know what I've done wrong. I still don’t receive any response to my demands regarding contact details of the management or the CEO. Still don’t received any response to my demands regarding names and positions of those handled my case through these months. It seems to me what I shared through the OneDrive application suddenly changed ownership I’ve just given about 20Gb of personal data to your company.
The loss of all my university projects and assignment files, graphic design work files cost me at least 5 years of hard work also the amount of money I invested in these projects are roughly around £3000.
Do you people actually realise the amount of time and effort I invested in my studies and work projects?? One thing I can promise, if I don’t receive access to my folders the next 2 weeks I will contact a solicitor and trigger a lawsuit against your team at Microsoft regarding hacking my desktop, stealing, and destroying personal data not belonging to you. Withholding information regarding the reasons of refusing access to my property.
Accusing me with criminal activity without providing any proof. What I want: Proof of any wrongdoing from my part in writing or screenshots of the files relevant to this wrongdoing. Proof of the location of my shared folders and what is happening with my files.
Proof of the rights Microsoft has over my property. Access to all my study and work material as soon as possible If my files and folders destroyed by Microsoft I demand a compensation for my losses.

Microsoft are crooks!!!

Had a nightmare interaction with Microsoft. I ordered a surface pro 7 to be delivered. On the day it was delivered i only received the keyboard which comes separately whilst the email confirmation said that both the device and keyboard were delivered. After sitting on hold for an hour with UPS they informed us that this was an issue with microsoft and they simply delivered the goods they were given. The parcel label said that the contents was 1.5 kg which was accurate for just the keyboard and packaging etc, proving we never received the device or that UPS were telling the truth. This was explained to Microsoft and they opened an investigation, they said they'd inform us of the resolution in 3 working days. After that time we got another email saying they need another 4 days to investigate. When we weren't updated after that point i called customer service and spoke to the supervisor who with absolutely no remorse explained that the case was closed and the issue was now down to me to resolve with UPS or the local police which is beyond ridiculous. Not only would they seemingly not informed me of their decision had i not called, but now after all of this inconvenience, countless phone calls to these ridiculous robotic customer service people i am now left to clean up their mess. For one of the biggest tech companies in the world this is just a disgrace. i feel like i've been scammed and theres nothing i can do about it. Would highly advise not shopping with them if you're planning to have it delivered since there seems to be something fishy going on in their warehouses and they have absolutely no urgency to resolve the inconvenience caused to their customers. Absolutely disgraceful.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Technicians unable to resolve technical issues. Customer service dreadful. I think some training maybe required in this field as awful I think what was most insulting if Microsoft then requested feedback , which I did of course but it wasn’t great I can tell you!

If you require support I personally would advise seeking advice of a private tech on the high street or IT expert . This is what I did in the end and laptop all up and running now thankfully!

Too many and lengthy updates

In recent years the updates have become ridiculous, I had to update last week, then this morning while I was trying to do some work I kept receiving messages to update, eventually I did as there was no option not to update. My computer is now unusable for who knows how long, after over an hour it is only 20% completed. When I have looked on previous updates a lot of the content they update is not relevant or even wanted by myself but I don’t have the option to refuse parts of the update, it is all or nothing. Seriously considering moving to Apple especially as my desktop is no longer supported because I can no longer update to their new version of Windows and my laptop will probably become the same in the not too distant future.

Dreadful

Dreadful - It’s been a while since I encountered customer service so abysmal. Firstly it’s a mission to even find a way to raise a complaint about an order. When I managed to speak to someone they couldn’t spell my name - I had to spell it 4 times. Then they put me on hold whilst they clearly dealt with another call. Then they put me on hold again for an age whilst they discussed with a supervisor. Then they refused to accept that there was a problem. Will.never.use.Microsoft.again

Microsoft is a joke

I worked for ages to get the money and build my PC which I was really happy with for the first two years, only for it to get completely messed up by stupid windows updates and Microsoft processes. It's supposed to be able to generate realistic game graphics and thanks to your awful software, it can't even run the taskbar now.

Diabolical inadequate staff members

My account has been locked from Microsoft for over 30 days and every time I call I would get assurance of my account being recovered within 24-48 hours. This was not the case. On one occasion, I was on a call for over 3 hours and put through to at least 8 different agents and had to repeat the issue to each and every person with no issue. The customer service is dreadful and they said that they can’t speak to the IT department. This is draining physically and mentally and they’re absolutely diabolical. Once I am able to access my account, i will read and filter through all important emails and then complete boycott Microsoft and will switch to gmail.
