Excellent, but missing a few things

Mighty Networks has really helped us grow our community. We were able to leverage the platform to create amazing engagement and outreach, deliver events, and host our growing webinar series.

There are a few things that I would love to see as the platform expands.

1. Virtual Event Platform: While there is an event feature, it is extremely basic. Essentially, you post a Zoom link, banner, and RSVP button. But we really need more in Events to support multi-day event that have concurrent sessions. Right now, there is no way to add a complex event schedule without adding about 80 individual events, which doesn't make sense. Currently, we've cobbled the Course feature as an Event Schedule for the entire 5 day event. I would rather not use another virtual event platforms in tangent with Mighty Networks.
2. More Course Functions: While it is great that we can offer courses, the Course feature does not compare to your standard LMS. It would be great if there were options to integrate a LMS into Mighty Networks.
3. Better Data Analytics: The platform needs more efficient and streamlined analytics on users.

The fees are really high

The fees are really high. I paid for the professional service and they didn't credit me back any of the costs that they took during a regular plan I had with them -- and would not. Bad business in my view.

No public chat on mobile, can't view images on mobile either. They need to reach out to the pro business people better and ask what they can do to help. I get nothing but spam emails from the CEO everyday.

Mighty Networks has transformed the way…

Mighty Networks has transformed the way I do business. From a yarnshop in the city to a desk at home offering community and services to needle crafters that want a better world, it provides the tools I need to spread my message in more ways than I thought was possible.

Game changer technology

Game changer technology! By far the easiest to use, cleanest design and it's actually fun to work on. All the other platforms I tried challenged my patience and sanity, often. Mighty Network is a breath of fresh air and they are always expanding into the next best version of themselves...for US. Highly recommend.

Good Platform But Could Improve Its Support For The Users

In general, it is a good platform with a lot of potential to turn into an incredible space for online communities. I know you are developing the features and make use of the platform becoming easier for people outside the USA.

I would like to see an improvement in customer service. Waiting 3 weeks for a response is not good. Also, your team is often not much of a help, when sending us to your videos or articles about the functionality. Sometimes these are not enough and we need someone to work with us on solving an issue.
I also dislike how the platform does not give the host access to the members' email addresses. We use Mighty Network as a community platform. We bring people who sign up as members and when we want to have their email address, we have to pay MN the highest subscription available. We already pay to use MN and this should be enough to get contact details of our own contacts. I don't mean a fancy spreadsheet you offer (all nice but not a deal-breaker), just make the email addresses visible in the list of members. You block the access and I think this is not acceptable. Besides, I am pretty sure this also breaches the EU laws which you should respect since you operate in the EU too.

Overall a good platform and I have trust in the team behind and your willingness to become better and friendlier for your users.

Hi Aleksandra! We are definitely EU/GDPR compliant, since we know we have a global audience. The member email download is available on The Business Plan, as you noted. Our average response time is much lower than 3 weeks (within hours!) we're so sorry about that — something clearly got missed on our end. We'll follow up internally to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Open, transparent and Integral ❤️

The people who run and develop Mighty Networks are accessible - this is important. There is open communication, transparency and integrity. Mighty Networks listen to their community and that is why it works. It’s like we are on an adventure together. Of course, people need to be paid and profits need to be achieved - but as this happens, members reap the benefits. Which is vastly different from the current state of play for the big social media platforms. Mighty Networks is actively building skills and opportunity for people to create online communities that are safe, healthy, creative, educational and expansive. It’s the way of the future and it’s exciting to be part of the Mighty Networks dream ❤️

Compelling Platform, Mediocre Host Experience at best!

Compelling Platform, mediocre experience! This is my 3rd attempt at building an online, private/niche/micro-community. I've found that the big social networks have become polarized, political, and promotional - big reasons most professionals are disengaging. I saw a promo video for MN and it seems intuitive enough that I signed up. Got immersed in it over the holidays and we're now up to 2,500 members, 20+ groups, and have just launched a series of courses. The platform is compelling (for the most part). The host experience leaves a lot to be desired. They push a lot out, yet seldom actually listen to their biggest advocates/power users. Have never heard from the CEO directly and the real-time support is useless. Also, few community managers are trained in MN, so if you're looking to outsource your community management, good luck! They're ramping up the user base to sell it to a bigger player like Salesforce, MSFT, or LinkedIn. Which leaves early adopters out in the dust.

Hey David, we're sorry to hear that (but glad the product itself is working for you). Let us know if there's anything we can do to improve your experience! We're totally open to feedback (hence gathering these reviews) and would love to reassure you that we're not aiming to forget our early adopters. Quite the opposite!

I like a lot about TMN especially stuff…

I like a lot about TMN especially stuff no one else offers- not allowing students to message one another but does allow messages from hosts.

What I don’t? The inability to move students while in a trial or if the plan included the community page so we have lost students (and money.) Not an issue if you up sell or sell your membership but for an all in one type program it’s been challenging.

Support is nice, but TMN is limited in flexibility although it is also means it’s a bit plug and go. It’s been a year and I’ll be sticking with it! It offers some items others don’t and much easier to use than other options. I’ve tried 12 other options so this has been the best one so far.

Pleasantly Surprised to Find the Perfect Social Platform for My Pet's Apothecary

It's been just a little over a year since I was directed to Mighty Networks as a possible platform for my business needs & while it has taken some time to get my community to where I want it to be I couldn't imagine building what I've been able to do anywhere else.

The freedom to set up the page in the format that best works with what we are teaching is worth the yearly fee for the Community Plan. Plus the fact that MN is constantly introducing new features has made this the permanent home for the My Pet's Apothecary Teaching Site.

It’s really incredible but still needs a few improvements. They just added tribe chats to the app (yay!) but group chats aren’t possible yet. There should be a network instructor tier so that course instructors can make events and not just everyone or hosts only. Otherwise I do love it and I can’t wait to see what updates happen in the future!

Pretty straightforward to setup though…

Pretty straightforward to setup though it does take planning, and time and you'll want to keep some internal documentation of what's been setup.

A few elements where kind of confusing (internal and external plans and understanding the difference). I did join the MN private community which helped as the add on training that was offered at the time of purchase.

One thing that is not good is the variety of image sizes that are required for different elements (group, posts, landing pages, etc). The MN documentation seems outdated and size recommendations didn't always work on the mobile app so MN does need to make that part more streamlined and consistent.

We came up with our own sizes for images because the ones provided did not work with parts of the images getting cut off ?? So that was frustrating.

But the joy of being away from Facebook and our old FB group has been wonderful.

The response time is disappointing

The response time is disappointing. I'm still waiting to hear back and it's been more than two business days. When I do get help it's great, but it's only over email, no web chat or call back support or anything, and the email responses can be a little slower than ideal.

Not the Facebook alternative it claims to be

Putting itself forward as a corporate alternative to Facebook, Mighty Networks falls well short of its claimed assertion. It has a slick-looking interface but is weak on functionality and user comprehension, the layout though pretty is not easy to navigate. The jargonese used in its own descriptions of itself is the kind of stuff that was once kicked around boardrooms during the yuppy years and is embarrassingly cringeworthy.

It's a nice idea and I wish them well but in its present form it is a weak attempt to break into an already flooded market.
