I’ve been very happy with my experience so far. The thing I appreciate most is that Mile Auto respects my data privacy and doesn’t harvest my information like every other insurance company. My rates are very fair and I'm paying less than I did with StateFarm.
Whenever I’ve needed assistance, the customer care team has been super helpful and quick to get things sorted. I haven’t had to file a claim yet, but based on how the rest of my interactions have been, I’d expect their claims department to be just as professional and reliable. Overall, a great experience and I’m glad I made the switch.

I had a small banking error and my payment will be due before the end of the month. I will not have my card until at least the third or fourth of next month I spoke with.ilse and she was extremely helpful. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Sure they quote a nice low price, and you get to pay monthly and per mile, but hidden way down in the fine print on the e-sign document is where they hide 'some additional fees'. Also nothing adds up. The quote did not add up to the actual monthly charge, the quote never mentioned any 'extra' fees or what they would be; they equal about $20 per month BTW, I have yet to get any breakdown on what the initial payment covered, and the absolute worst part?
Upon cancelling, they say they have 30 BUSINESS days to refund any excess premium!
EDIT to add. Look at their pathetic response. Notice how they slipped in the (and fees). Those fees were never ever spelled out nor enumerated in the quote. They did only charge me per mile, and that was the only rate that matched the quote. Nice word salad you losers!

Called a week ago to get a quote for my new address & to update my policy info, The person I spoke to told me it was too early. I need to call back closer to my move. Mind you I had already received my new home insurance policy a week earlier for the address. This place lacks the technology to operate as a real auto carrier. I literally had to call 2 days to even get a rep on the phone.
Then September comes. I was out of town for the holiday weekend so I missed my odometer reading on 8/29. I did receive another text and email to submit it on 8/30 which I did as soon as I got home. So now I am patiently waiting for my invoice to see my monthly charges and what I currently owe for August. I never received the invoice and I saw they deducted money from my account 9/4/25. The amount charged is close to what I normally pay but you should not be debiting money from my account without first informing me of the charges.
I will be canceling my policy this month & would advise most ppl to just pay extra and go with a larger company. The customer service is worth it. My biggest fear is having a large claim and dealing with their claims team which is probably nonexistent!

Phewww I think I need to take a breath. This company is literally the worst insurance company. Not only was the signup process extremely time consuming and painful (they cancelled my insurance over the weekend when they were closed three days before the due date for my odometer reading leaving me stranded and without insurance until the following week.)
Fast forward to today (just two weeks later!) I needed to call them to use roadside service, should have been easy enough. Gave them a call and talked to robots, got a text to fill out some form for a third party tow appointment. Cool. Entered my information and what do you know? Sure enough mile auto is claiming I don’t have insurance with them, even though I’ve paid them for my insurance, have a policy card but that apparently doesn’t mean you get service. Their office closes at 5pm eastern, so if you need them after that - you are stranded.
So thanks again Mile Auto. A service that is so cheap they can’t even work to help you. I would avoid this company like the plague and simply pay a little bit more, because news flash - this company can’t operate obviously.
