I have been attempting to do a warranty exchange on one sensor (out of three) that I have purchased. The one having issues has been reset and reconnected multiple times because it continuously does not work property. I place another sensor in the exact same place and they work just fine.... but this one sensor does not work. I work in technology and networking - the company will not honor a warranty exchange! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Very unhelpful support and they do not stand behind their product.

I have 3 sensors in different properties, and I am not happy with MINUT sensors at all.
1.) The service is very expensive; you have to buy a sensor + annual subscription.
2.) Noise sensors are inaccurate, and watching a TV will trigger the event, which sends out messages and makes calls to guests. I've tried it, and it's not accurate with noise measuring. You can set your own threshold but it's off the numbers.
3.) I have bought a "new" sensor in Q4 2024, and I have received an OLD sensor without smoke detection. Now I had a problem in one of my properties, and I did not know it was not detecting smoke! The app has the functionality on, but you do not know what the sensor has or has not.
4.) Customer support is poor and slow. No one is online at any moment to help you out.

Overall, the Minut is just an expensive sensor with poor detection and poor customer service.

Their software is not that great, I have had so many complaints from clients stating they received notifications while only watching TV. Also the price, in my opinion, is too high. I would look elsewhere for something better.

I use the sensor only for cigarette smoke detection. I know the unit is in beta for this sensing and it is prone to false positive alerts. As far as the installation it was easy to install and setup. Keep in mind that connecting to WiFi requires using only 2.4 ghz or it won’t connect. There’s quick support through Email.

I wanted a simple home alarm and after a lot of research I bought this unit at a one time cost some years ago. The reason I choose them was the promised free plan where you only paid a onetime fee for the device. For subscription models there are way better and more powerful alarms.
However, after using it for a couple of years they started forcing me to pay a subscription to be able to use the alarm. This goes against everything that was promised. Their motivation is all the development they have done for hosts. I am not a host, these are useless for me, charge people who need them on a host plan.
The app has not receive a single useful update since I bought it. It takes me 5 clicks to turn the alarm on, and the app does not even give a notification when the grace period is triggered so I need to do as many clicks to turn it off. And this is the function you want to charge me 120 USD a year for??
No stay away from this toy alarm if you are not a host of small cabins. If I am forced to pay I will invest in a proper alarm system. And you should give me a refund for the useless unit that you sold me on false pretext. Not very sustainable to just throw away this garbage.

Minut gives brilliant insight into my properties without breaching guest privacy. Since using Minut I have had less smoking incidents (might just be a deterrent) so I’m very happy with this service.

Minut has been a great addition to my properties! I own several units in apartment buildings, so staying on top of noise levels is a must to keep the neighbors happy. Minut’s noise monitoring makes it way easier to catch anything before it becomes a big problem. Definitely recommend if you’re managing multiple units.

scrap the cameras - minut does the job with the same peace of mind! It was very easy to set up and I could connect to the voice control. I was sold by the loud noise monitoring but it does so much more like, glass breaking, motion and even humidity
