Start end using was very good and easy but I had a big problem with returning a bike and closing aplikation.

We had a great experience with the MOBIAN app. Everything was easy to find and it was really nice biking around the city.

When you want to leave your car at a parking lot in Amsterdam ánd hire bikes at the same location to experience the city, this is the ideal place. Parking the car is free for the period one hires one or more bikes. Make the reservation, and pay, online, get a voucher by Email,leave your car at the parking lot and collect your bike and off you go. You can open and lock your bike with the Mobian app. My wife and I had 2 city bikes, nice new ones, during the weekend and it works pretty well, hence a good experience..
Why would I call the system somewhat inflexible?
When I made and paid the reservation on the Friday prior to the weekend, I realized I made a mistake and only reserved for the Saturday, not for the whole weekend.
Since I made the reservation less than 48 hrs before its start, I could not change the reservation anymore online, app nor website, and after contacting the Mobius chat, they also could not change it anymore (although bikes were available). I therefore made a 2nd reservation immediately starting after the first end, to cover the weekend. The price of the 2 reservations was more than I would have paid for the whole period in one reservation, but hey it was me that made the mistake after all. When the first period expired, everything worked as it should have, I wanted to start the 2dn reservation. You cannot start the 2nd reservation without returning with the 2 bikes to the location you rented the bikes, return the bikes, drive your car out and in again and rent 2 new bikes. Of course we did not do that,that would have been very inconvenient and time consuming, hence continued with the same bikes for the 2nd period, we had paid for,and returned the bikes before the end of the 2nd reservation. Since we formally had not started the 2dn reservation, the system did not open the parking when leaving with the car, hence had to request surveillance to open it.
It should be possible to extend your reservation, provided bikes are available. If one made a 2nd reservation following a first one, as an alternative for not enabling an extension, it should be possible to start the 2dn reservation without returning the bikes first.

It was great to be able to park my car for a week and have a bike instead in Amsterdam at a reasonable price.
My only negative comment would be that your responses to WhatsApp Help questions are very slow, a few hours usually!
I was also somewhat concerned that the only lock on the bike is the rear wheel lock which did work fine though the App, but I ended up buying a proper chain lock to use as well. I wasn’t too sure of what would happen if the bank had been stolen.

Parking and reservation was good. Unfortunately extending my reservation was not possible via Mobian app or chat via WhatsApp (while they do state that that is possible).

Made a reservation and all went fine.

Everything easy to arrange through the app. The bike was in good condition, the location is close to the center and all for a very good price.

Though they advertise the possibility to rent an e-bike, the location i was, they only had 3 which are sold out till May.
I would give the service a 4 or even 5 star rating if they would deliver on their marketing promises.
