Very Disappointing & Misleading

Very Disappointing & Misleading

Dealt with Mobile Guru twice and unfortunately had the same bad experience both times.

First time:
I sent 5 phones in one batch. Once they received them, they cut the quoted price by more than half, claiming there were “scratches” that were never there. The devices were in the same condition as described and packed properly.

I then spoke directly with Ravin (Ops Manager). After discussion, we agreed on a revised price, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming this was a one-off situation.

Second time:
Sent another phone, expecting the agreed process to be honoured. Instead, they again cut the price to nearly half of the agreed quote once the phone arrived.

This is clearly not an accident — it feels like a pattern.

They make the quotes look very appealing upfront, but once they have your device, they are not willing to actually pay the quoted amount. It feels misleading at best and dishonest at worst.

Big red flags. Would not recommend.
Save yourself the time, stress, and postage — there are far more transparent buyers out there.

They claimed a scratch on phone I never noticed.

While the iPhone that I sold to Mobileguru (14 pro max) was by no means near new I had selected them because my battery health was at 83% and while some of the other sides had a category of over 85% (which I missed) they had a condition category of over 80%. Honestly my phone was always in a case and very well kept, so I thought battery was the major factor in selling it. So I was a bit shocked when they replied to me after confirming receipt of the phone, indicating to me that they were only going to offer $60 less than the quoted amount because of a scratch in the glass. Once again, not a new phone, don't claim it to be perfect, but I would have thought that I would have noticed a significant scratch in the glass. To be clear I can't say that they were not correct. I mean I guess the phone could also have been damaged in transit to them, though I did send it in a padded bag and in the original iPhone box.

I also think it is a bit on the nose that afterwards they offered to pay me $10 to give them a good Google review!!!

STAY AWAY! Very dodgey.

Bought 2 "Premium" level laptops from these guys via Reebelo. Both had Japanese keyboards and neither would even boot up - just an exclamation mark on the screen. Absolute joke. I returned both - and now these guys are saying that I only returned one. Must be one of the dodgiest businesses I have ever had anything to do with. I will continue to pursue my full refund... but wanted to warn others - STAY AWAY!
