So far I love it. My daughter does her chores more and if they are not done properly I can deny the payment of it . It's reaching her to take her time to make sure her chores are done properly. Just a... See more

Its AMAZING!!!
Its great! The customer support is amazing so with the app! I recommend this to parents that want their kids to learn about money and banking!
Modak is AMAZING!
Modak is AMAZING!! The workers there make sure to completely follow up on your questions and answer with amazing responses. Say you ask “how do you transfer mobux to your account?” Their response. “Well you just click and do dadada” (sorry not remembering the full thing at the moment) But they really do make this app the best it can be and I LOVE it❤️
It was amazing they were so nice
Best bank account for teens
I love modak. It has no monthly fees, you can collect MBX to get real money, and it’s a checkings account too! This app and bank is really good, and I recommend it to all teenagers looking for a debit card.

What made my experience amazing was that it actually solved my problems and was easy to understand. They laid it all out step by step and I had no confusion or problems and it really worked.
What made my experience amazing was that I was having some trouble and asked for help and they gave me a step to step detailed answer back!
Modak is great!
Question handled quickly. Modak is a great, fee free way to teach children financial literacy.
Love it!
Getting this card for my son has been a wonderful experience and has been so helpful for him to be able to pay for things when we are not with him. And it’s awesome that it’s a free! He is also learning a lot about budgeting his money.
COMPLETELY A DISASTER!!!
This so-called "educational" credit card for kids has been a total disaster. From the moment of signup, it seemed like the company was more interested in profiting off the children rather than teaching them.
Fees are excessive, with frequent "convenience charges," "activation fees," and "monthly service charges." These extra expenses complicate teaching children about budgeting, which appears predatory.
The app is difficult to use and confusing. It is not intuitive for children, and setting spending limits or monitoring purchases is difficult.
Customer service is unresponsive. Attempts to contact them with questions and complaints resulted in canned, unhelpful answers.
Instead of teaching responsible spending habits, this experience has been confusing and expensive. This company exploits parents' hopes for financial literacy, delivering only frustration. Avoid this company.

Non-authorized money
I was concerned because some money showed up in my son’s account that I did not send. The support agent got back to me very quickly and let me know it was because of the transfer to a new banking partner. Very kind and put my mind at ease. Great support!
High Hopes But Terrible Results
I had high hopes for this company but I have had issues since day 1 and now they are switching banks and they have blocked me on stopping the direct deposit to my daughters card after I chose to cancel instead of transfer. I’ve never been able to add my bank card, only my credit card for my daughters allowance, accept for a check type transfer that takes 2-3 days after the set allowance day. My daughter wants her allowance when I tell her she will get it, not 2-3 days. Secondly, with this transfer of banks or ownership, you have to agree to it all to even get to your main account screen or you can choose to cancel the account but when you get to the account screen, it won’t let you cancel the automatic payments. It tells you access is restricted. Steer clear. Green light costs money but I never had issues with my older kid when we had it. I’ve learned the lesson, cheaper is not better.

One recommendation
I think Modak is a very good financial app for children. It has daily scratch-offs for MBX along with challenges.
MBX is an in-game currency. You can exchange 100 MBX for $1, which is AWESOME if you ask me. I just think they should let us see the products we bought through the transactions. Other than that, I love EVERYTHING about Modak.
Interruption in service
Loved the card and app. Was very convenient as my grandchild lives in another state. The change in banks will affect his physical card and this will not work for our situation. At his age using a virtual card isn’t always an option (he uses his card for vending machines at school). Honestly hate to part with it.

Super Shady - Don't share Bank details
The Modak app makes it very difficult to protect your funding methods. There is no way to stop a payment method or change/update card or account details.
This led to "surprise" charges to my card when trying to transfer money to my child. In addition, it seems there current bank has dropped them and they are telling me that the account will be unusable for a couple of weeks, starting at an undisclosed time.
There are far better and safer options for getting a card for your child. If you use Modak, get your money out now!
