Avoid! Order never received

Placed an order for a ring and sent my milk off quickly. Seemed to be getting automated emails but when I was asking for actual updates Lucy would reply sometimes and say she'd provide an update soon but never did despite months of chasing. I never received my item and am really disappointed about the whole experience. Trusting a business with something so personal and to not even be communicated with properly is unacceptable. I see that she is taking a break from business for a while but customers who have already spent money and sent their inclusions in should be properly communicated with still. Avoid!

Avoid

Initial order (necklace) in autumn 2022, processed in timely manner, but necklace when arrived was wrong design and had a strange air bubble in pendant. Reached out to company and they eventually replied and processed order correctly, but took some time to come. In the meantime time I had ordered earrings, giving the company the benefit of the doubt. Earrings never came, after many emails back unanswered, I reached out on WhatsApp, then was told via email response she was waiting on the moulds for the earrings to arrive (9 months after earring purchase). Never heard from them again until I sent (a rather arsey) email demanding a refund and finally got refunded 2 YEARS after initial purchase.
I think Lucy took on more than she was able for with this company, and instead of pausing orders to get on top of things, just carried on taking peoples money. I’m all for supporting small businesses, but this is not the way to go about things.

Terrible

Terrible, avoid! First item I ordered was a breast milk inclusion ring, the quality was so poor that I had to send it back and get a completely different design. Once I got that, after a couple of months the stone fell out. I posted it back for it to be replaced and have had radio silence ever since. If I don’t get my money back I'm going to get a chargeback with my bank. Absolutely terrible.

Avoid, very doubtful that you'll receive anything at all.

I made an order for Christmas in August. followed instructions for inclusion kit, paid substantial money. £200+. Up front "12 week turn around". Well in time for Christmas.

12 weeks passed, no news. Followed up -"order is made and ready to ship". Following this up week after week, met with excuses of personal matters, holidays, time away from business, etc. Company/owner did not send the item at all, even though it was supposedly made. I frustratingly waited until 19th December (4 months after ordering), still not shipped.

Requested refund. No fight put up for refund on personal item, very suspicious. Refund processed even though "item is sitting ready to be posted".

POSSIBLE SENARIOS -
1. I am very doubtful the item was made and I was lied to throughout.
OR
2. The owner pretended to make an item while she collected payments to have holidays and breaks.
AND/OR
3. The item was made and now I have a refund, this item was sent on to the next unsuspecting customer, who may now have a ring with my wife's breast milk in it?

I cannot imagine 4 months of "work", customer breast milk, "love and attention" just gets put in a bin when refund is provided.

TLDR; At the end of it all, I was £200+ down for 4 months, last of wife's breast milk wasted and now not able to make more, no jewellery for wife's Christmas present, and a big stressful waste of time. Almost glad I didn't receive it

Dont bother ordering, especially if the inclusion is special or important to you.

Huge let down

Initially impressed with the quick postage of the kit to send my breastmilk, waited a long time to receive my ring & necklace - with good updates! However these were poorly packed in a cheap plastic bag and £370 worth of jewellery left under my door mat. On opening, the ring was heavily scratched with the wrong finish and the necklace had drops of occlusion on it. The products also looked much lower quality to the website images. I had a lovely initial reply to my complaint, Lucy blamed it on her new assistant and said to return them. Then the chasing started, chasing her to send the return envelope, chasing for an update, chasing to get my products back. After several months of being either ignored or lied to (Lucy even told me they had been posted), I requested a refund which was thankfully received quickly. The milk I sent was the last milk I pumped, in the time Lucy messed me around, I was no longer able to express and now I won’t ever be able to get the jewellery I wanted. Please don’t trust this business with your precious memories, this happened over the summer of 2025 and it’s taken me a little while to deal with the upset of the situation.

Think Twice Before Handing Over Your Breastmilk!

Please, please, think twice before handing your precious milk over to Mothers Love Jewellery. She continuously blocks people on Facebook who leave negative reviews or discuss their experience there. Communication is so so poor, you receive automated emails. You would expect to be kept updated every step of the way given that this lady is handling such precious sentimental things. Please use your money elsewhere.

Awful customer service

I ordered my ring and received the inclusion kit very quickly. I sent my milk off the next day, heard nothing confirming if my milk had been received - but didnt know if i was meant to so wasnt too concerned at this point. I emailed and sent messages on Instagram with no reply, but noticed the business owner was posting Instagram stories daily! Several weeks later I received an email saying my ring was in the workshop, and a further few weeks on another email to say to expect a delivery email to be sent soon. Several weeks later, still nothing.

I emailed them again to ask for an update, only to be told at this point they had never received my milk and the update emails I had received were just automated emails! I was promised an inclusion kit would be sent out the next day with royal mail tracking to return it with this time. This never arrived.

I contacted them again a week later and requested a refund, which was immediately agreed with an apology.

I have since read that others have had a similar experience, so my advice to people considering purchasing from here, don't bother wasting your time! Breast milk is precious and it feels like this business takes little interest in this. I have since ordered and received a beautiful ring elsewhere! I honestly dont know how this a functioning business with such poor customer service.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

Beautiful keepsake and amazing service!

I ordered the dainty teardrop ring with whiteout finish from Mother’s Love Jewellery, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. The process was super easy – I just popped a little of my milk stash from the freezer into the set I was sent, and that was it! Everything was simple and well explained.

I was kept updated throughout the process, and when my ring arrived, I was absolutely delighted. It’s beautifully made and so special knowing it’s crafted with my own mummy milk. Such a meaningful and precious keepsake.

Thank you so much, Lucy! Now I’m just wondering what to order next. 💕

Poor communication, longs delays, untrustworthy seller

I placed my order back in November 2025 expecting a 12 week turnaround (maybe a little more due to the Christmas period).

I received an email in January to say it was in the workshop being made. That was the last update I received before chasing in the spring. My email was not responded to, so I chased again on Instagram late April . I was told it has been posted in January and they would look into it, but I was not provided any details or tracking information. I didn’t receive an update so I had to chase again 2 weeks later. I was then told they hadn’t had an update and would chase. I didn’t receive an update, so had to chase again 3 weeks later. They didn’t respond, so I had to chase again (4 weeks after the initial chase)

I was then told it was remade and would be posted the following week. I accepted this, but was doubtful that it had been made and sent initially, as no tracking information or dates were provided.

After not receiving any updates, I had to chase for an update about 6 weeks after being told it was being sent the following week, still no reply so a further chase was sent a week later. They replied advising it was booked in to be sent the following week, apologising that it had taken so long to make as it had to be remade and that she had made a matching necklace as a sorry.

I didn’t receive anything the following week and left it about 4 weeks to chase again. Once again, there was no reply. I left it another week before sending a rather frustrated chaser.

I was then sent a voice note to advise it has been sent and that I should have received multiple update and tracking emails, I have received no emails (with the exception of marketing emails, which I will be unsubscribing from) since my email in January advising it was in the workshop (so the correct email was definitely provided).

I did receive the bracelet that day (no apology necklace was included). It’s taken me a week to bring myself to open it as I’ve been so upset and frustrated with the whole process. After seeing the bracelet I am very doubtful that the bracelet actually included my milk sample. The bracelet is pure white and my milk was a mix of the milk from my final feed and first bit of expressed colostrum so was quite yellow (and completely irreplaceable). I do wonder if my milk was lost and the poor responses/delays was a way to delaying any issues. It is not a pleasant feeling, being so doubtful about the bracelet and wondering if you have been lied to about something so personal and sentimental.

The 9 months it’s taken and the £140 + pp isn’t even the biggest issue. What was meant to be a really sentimental piece of jewellery now doesn’t really mean or represent anything to me. Such a disappointment.

Would 100% not recommend.

Please be careful

I placed an order for a breastmilk ring back in November 2024. I never received an email saying my milk was received. I later on added an ornament with breastmilk as well and I have to say, the sellers correspondence is super friendly and you would not think that the experience would run so terrible. I have chased several times in between and at one point i was asked about my ring size? How is that possible, I had returned everything to her with all the information. I then questioned whether she would even use my breastmilk and explained this obviously is super emotional for any mom. I had to purchase a ring measurement from amazon to be sure about the size. After 8 months of waiting !!! (Her website states roughly 12 weeks) i finally got my ring (no ornament) but it wasn't with the birthstones that I had asked her to include. I never felt taken serious, I had to reconfirm details again and again. It seems this business is so overwhelmed..please if your breastmilk has any value to you, do more research on this business. I luckily got a full refund as I went back to complain but would like to warn other mom's out there.

Proceed with caution - terrible experience

I was drawn to this business because of its beautifully designed website, heartfelt branding, and the promise of creating something truly special. Sadly, my experience has been the complete opposite of what was advertised.

The reality from start to finish was frustrating, time-consuming, and ultimately disappointing. After months of waiting far beyond the stated timescales, countless chases for updates, and little to no proactive communication, I finally received my piece only to find that it looked and felt very different from the images and description online.

The pendant arrived with visible scuffs to the finish, and the chain was so thin and insubstantial that it felt completely disproportionate to the pendant, making it unwearable without replacing it.

When I raised these issues, the seller initially offered a minimal refund (laughable actually) for the chain, but stopped responding entirely when I questioned the fairness of that amount and requested a reasonable resolution. With no other option, I am now having to pursue the matter via my credit card provider.

For something so personal and sentimental, the lack of transparency, accountability, and care is unacceptable.

If you are considering ordering here for a truly meaningful and memorable piece, I would urge you to think carefully about whether this is the right place to entrust with something so important. I genuinely thing that the customer review rating on the website is disingenuous (as I have just provided a review there and got a statement saying that your review will be reviewed by the shop's admit before publishing it - LOL)

Awful dishonest business - don’t let your precious breastmilk be wasted here

Edited to add: she has now blocked me from her Facebook page which explains why she has a 98% positive rating. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS MILK (AND MONEY!)

Having completed my final breastfeeding journey, I sent off my last bit of frozen breastmilk to be made into a ring - having paid over £150, I felt that this was a highly sentimental piece that I was going to be able to treasure forever. Initial send out of the milk collection kit was prompt, and I returned it properly. I didn’t hear anything for about eight weeks, which I wasn’t too concerned about because it was over the Christmas period and following a black Friday sale. After a further four weeks, I sent an email to enquire about when I could expect to receive my jewellery. I received a reply stating that she needed my ring size - this immediately raised red flags, as the ring size had been clearly stated on the provided insert card when I returned my milk. She was unable to give me any sort of satisfactory answer when I then asked how she was able to identify and distinguish between different people’s milks as my name and ring size were on the same card. Having spoken to some other mums who have also had their precious breastmilk wasted under similar circumstances, I would warn anyone from sending a limited resource to her (milk, ashes, cord) unless you are ok with the fact that yours may not end up in your ring. Against my better judgement, I re-sent her my ring size and she pledged it would be sent next Thursday - another 8 weeks on, nothing has been received (order was placed in November and I am writing this in mid June, to give you an idea of time frames).

Fortunately my bank was able to refund me the monetary cost, but nothing can ever replace the lost breastmilk.

To add insult to injury, an identical ring style to that I had chosen and paid over £150 for was available as a DIY kit on a Portuguese website for €60 so she is adding a massive up charge (all the while boasting on instagram about her family trips to Disney!).

Please do your research before using this vendor.
