I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Motor4U Ltd. In March 2025, I part-exchanged my Peugeot 508 and financed a DS7 Crossback E-Tense through the dealership. I was sold a 12-month AutoProtect warranty for £1,500, which I was told would be comprehensive and cover all major components. This amount was added to my finance agreement with Northridge.

Unfortunately, the vehicle broke down in June—just three months after purchase—and when I attempted to claim on the warranty, I was shocked to discover that no warranty had ever been activated. After repeatedly chasing the dealership via email and WhatsApp, the warranty was only finally set up on 9 July 2025, well after the breakdown, making it effectively useless for the issue I needed it for.

Even more concerning, the policy that was eventually issued only covers £1,000, despite me being charged £1,500 and being assured it was "comprehensive." The actual repair cost, confirmed by a main dealer, is £4,870, leaving me with a huge out-of-pocket expense.

Throughout the process, I was met with delays, vague responses, and a lack of accountability. No warranty documents were ever provided at the time of sale, and I only received them after escalating the issue myself.

This experience has been incredibly stressful, and I feel let down both financially and personally. I trusted Motor4U to act professionally and honourably, but I feel I was misled, and the warranty was mis-sold.

I would urge other customers to be extremely cautious and to ensure they receive all paperwork up front — especially for warranties or finance-related add-ons. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.

Motor4U, excellent experience.

I was able to test drive 3 different cars and found the car for me. I also had a very pleasant experience with the owner Sheikh and excellent service with Kumaran. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Look elsewhere

Repeated requests for information prior to sale and post deposit went unanswered. Appointment made (we had an overnight trip to get there) but sales person had no idea who we were. Waited ages at every stage. The whole process took about three hours.Could not charge car we had arrived in (they claimed their charger was tripping out!) so had to pay £4 per hour to park across the road plus charging and the one we bought was not fully charged either. It had not been properly cleaned and had several areas of paint damage which had not been indicated in the advertising. The owner came and buttered us up, eventually agreeing to a reduction of £250. Consderably less than 1% of the cost.Bought a warranty and was assured the documents would be emailed immediately. Three weeks and many phone calls later still waiting. No one offers an explanation or apologies and nothing is done. Watch this space. The fact that reviews receive no response is telling. The car is good so far I have to say but the service is questionable to say the least. Will be seeking legal recourse if the warranty does not come soon.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Traded my old Audi A3 when purchasing my new bmw x3 off of this company, everything appeared fine, well until I started driving it home. Warning alerts started appearing when I drove the car over 40mph. When I tried contacting Alixx who sold me the car I was ignored for several days. To then be told by him it would be easier to go through the warranty but as they sold me a faulty car off of the forecourt they had a duty to fix themselves.
Then engine light came on so I had a mechanic friend attached the car to a diagnostic computer where there were lots of faults. When I tried to send the car back as my trust in this garage has gone Omar insisted I let him rectify these faults and stated they don’t always clear the faults from the card computer, very weird comment but I stupidly gave them the benefit of the doubt. But what he more than likely meant was they cleared the faults they couldn’t or didn’t want to fix and then hoped I would go through the warranty not them.

The car went back for weeks I was told numerous times the car was having a replacement instrument cluster only for that not to have happened as they did all they could to silence the fault rather than pay the 2k for the repair (I was told that by one of his sales). Whilst my car was with them for this time the car clocked up 300+ miles I was told this was to ensure there were no more issues with the dpf weirdly but I suppose when they switched the miles the car clocks they probably didn’t think I’d switch it back on and check.
I also received two fines from my car being used outside of the working hours of the garage (again dpf reasons they stated) along with being supplied courtesy car with no tax on that I was told I should be grateful for. I was told by Omar on numerous discussions I should be grateful with how much he was helping even though he was happy to sell me a faulty car.
I was then told about six weeks after the car was with them supposedly being fixed that the instrument cluster Omar had told me was being fixed by bmw had not been replaced and needed to be ordered. Car came back to me with the same issue and no new instrument cluster. I then waited 8 months for part to then realise Omar had paid for part but had no interest in settling the £288 for labour even though this fault came with the car off of the forecourt. He would not reply to any of my messages and neither would his team and I have to say his team are as sneaky as he was. Since then I have also been told the car has been enhanced or tampered with as it flags up immediately which Omar and his team would have known which has resulted in a cracked dpf.

The worst experience of buying a second hand car I have ever experienced and has put me off for life!!

Non refundable deposit left

Non refundable deposit left. Then suddenly car was no longer available. I was then threatened and told they knew where I lived when I complained. They did return the money. However for trying to buy a £30k car you get threatened and also told did I know who I was dealing with! Pasha and Sheep beware of them very very upsetting experience.

It was Great to begin with then everything broke down the car was not fully validated I could have done a far better job so having to pay "an extra" to have it "professionally cleaned" it was far from it

The service on the day was awful the car was covered in scratches and touched up with a pen which didn't even match I really wish I never went ahead but after making the journey

No Help After Purchase – Ongoing Issues Ignored

I purchased a 2019 Range Rover Evoque from Motor For You at the beginning of March. Less than a month later, the driver’s seatbelt started having issues — it gets stuck and won’t release smoothly. I have to pull it multiple times to get it to work.

I contacted the company several times and got no response. Eventually, they told me to call the after-sales team. I stayed on the phone for over an hour and a half with no answer, and the line eventually cut off completely.

Now there’s a second issue: the check engine light has come on (as shown in the photo I sent them). I reached out again, and once more, no one has responded. It feels like I’ve been completely ignored after buying the car.

I just want these issues resolved or at least have someone respond to me. The lack of after-sales support has been very disappointing, especially considering the price of the car.
