Inspectors treating passengers like criminals

On Saturday, I saw a very unpleasant situation with Movia inspectors.

They gave a fine to a person because, according to them, the person checked in a few seconds after getting on the bus. How could they be so sure? It seemed to be based only on their own feeling. The person had checked in and was paying for the trip, but they still decided to give a fine because of a few seconds.

The attitude of the inspectors was also very disappointing. Instead of treating passengers like customers and using common sense, they seemed to be looking for any reason to give a fine.

It gives the impression that the goal is not to make sure people pay for public transport, but simply to collect as much money as possible.

It is unacceptable to treat normal passengers like criminals because of a difference of a few seconds. Public transport should be based on clear rules, common sense and respect for passengers, not on inspectors acting like fine-collecting mercenaries.

After what I saw on Saturday, my opinion of Movia and its inspection system is extremely negative.

The worst in Europe. Daily!!!!!!

The worst in the galaxy. Seriously. In a country where third of people use bikes , buses somehow are always late. Constantly, daily and not 1m but from 10m and more. And just so expensive and not worth. Just make everyone a service and cease to exist. Useless, i efficient and very expensive !!!!

I want to report an ongoing issue with…

I want to report an ongoing issue with bus 200S. This has happened multiple times over a longer period, not just once.
My mother has experienced that some bus drivers do not stop at the bus stop even when she is clearly standing at the designated stop and waiting. In several cases, the bus has driven past without picking her up. I would estimate this has happened in about half of the situations she has experienced on this route.
This has caused serious inconvenience, including having to walk long distances (up to around 2 hours in one case) when the bus did not stop.In one incident, the driver looked in her direction before driving away, which felt very disrespectful. This is not about one isolated event, but a repeated issue that makes the service unreliable.I am asking Movia to investigate this route and ensure that buses consistently stop for waiting passengers at designated stops.
If this issue continues without a response or improvement, I will escalate the matter through the appropriate formal complaint channels

Unfriendly and rude …

We had a very frustrating experience with Trafikselskabet Movia. We were rushing to catch the bus and only managed to check in on the app right after sitting down. Despite this, we were fined as if we had intentionally avoided paying, which feels completely unreasonable.

What made the situation worse was the behavior of the staff. The employee was extremely unfriendly and didn’t take the time to explain what we did wrong or how to avoid this situation in the future. We were also not properly informed about how to handle the fine or what the next steps were.

Overall, this felt very unfair and poorly handled. Tourists especially are not given clear guidance, and instead of helping, the system seems focused on penalizing small mistakes. This experience definitely left a negative impression.

RUDE driver!!

I took the usual bus 225 from Hundige st. towards Karlslunde st. and check in was 'out of service'
Upon my stop, the check out is on but would not read my card. I tried both machines multiple time, but no luck. Driver said its not working.

I go across the street because in few minutes the other bus was suppose to come. He was late (as usual). I quickly mentioned to him that I need to check out, in the other bus, the machine wasn't working. His tune was very harsh and said "I do not care, I do not have time" and he closed the door and drove off.
How long would it take to check out?
did he have to be so rude and unkind?
was he late because of me?
the machine wasn't working, is that my fault?????

It is ridiculous how some drivers are so rude on this bus 225.

5C bus delayed by 20 minutes

Worst ever transportation service. You guys should do something to improve your timing and hygiene. Even 1 star is a mercy for you guyss. Stupidiest service run by stupidiest brains. Either you don’t have experience or you take people for granted. It’s been now over 20 times my bus is late by more than 15 minutes. Shame on you. Its better than this in so called developing or third world countries.

Avoid busses, choose metro/train instead.

I had the same experience as other reviewers here seem to report. Entered the bus, took a seat, dropped the bag, and went to check-in (in a matter of seconds, doors were still open). And yet, few moments later, I got fined (despite having the ticket) because the inspector said he had seen me taking the seat before checking in. People around me spoke up to question the inspector (if you´re reading, thank you!), but unfortunately it is true: if you read their rules on the Movia website, it says that check-in must be the first thing you do. And if it is true that inspectors get commissions for fines, then maybe they really fish for these small details. Who knows: I paid right away, for peace of mind! But won´t take busses until they make it possible to check-in before boarding (e.g. at the bus stop or via smartphones). Movia´s loss, cause I have always paid every single bus ride (including this one)!

Note: while I can accept the fine because the rule (for as unrealistic as it may be) says check-in is the first thing you do, I am still uncomfortable with the inspector saying "you checked in just because you saw I was here". That is assuming, profiling, and prejudiced. And unethical. And also: if you entered with me or even before me, how could I "un-see" you? Should have I not checked-in instead just because I had seen you when I entered the bus? I really don´t get it.

Movia/Mafia

I would like to warn people who are not familiar with Copenhagen buses to use them at all. It should work for Danes but for strangers as us, it's a deathtrap. At our first ride my wallet got stolen. You really have to pay extra attention.
It didn't happen to me in the last 30 years.
Yesterday we made a mistake with checking in with a pass our son gave to us. That was really costy! 2000 crowns we had to pay. We couldn't believe it. No mercy for strangers. We should have known it. Yes, right. For that amount we could have gone far by taxi. The busdriver beforehand was not helpfull. He said ge wouldn't talk to me if I don't check out with my card.

Got fined despite of carrying a valid season pass

Horrible experience! I have a season pass to commute from home to work. I got finned for 750 Kr despite of having a valid pass for the zones I travel everyday. I kept on asking the ticket conductor to explain why he fined me, but he didn't say anything. Also when they scanned my card on their machine, I saw a big green tick mark which I believe indicated I have the correct pass. I hope this review reaches the concerned authorities as someone should be held accountable for this. I was mentally harassed, felt embarrassed and could not focus on my work all day. If your employees are not competent enough and don't know how to do their job properly you better replace them. Worst experience of my life!

I would give them no star

I would give them no star. One star is a lot to them . The worst transportation company. The buses are always late. The bus drivers are not nice and noisy. The buses Do not come on time. Most of the stations does not have the bus schedule . The people who come to check the ticket are aggressive . They take my phone sometimes and go back and forth like there is no privacy!!!! Today I faced a violence from a woman who works for moviatrafik at the bus. She pushed me with her arms and hands. Although I have a ticket. I needed to catch my meeting I was delayed and she refused to leave me in peace . She was shouting with the other passengers as well. Today I have faced a violence and I got a ticket from movía trafic . The employee refused to give me her name!!!! I pay you almost 500 kr a month and you failed to offer me a safe transportation!!! It is not the first time to face a violence from your employees they are aggressive. You get money for a service that you failed to offer what a shame

Don't understand how is this right

Fined, without valid reason. So couple of weeks ago i got on a 5c bus at the central station, I check in my rejsekort and then conductor comes by checks the rejsekort and moves along, after a minute he comes back saying I that I am getting fined and not being able to actually properly explain why. So then I complain the fine and get the answer, that I got fined, because the conductor did not see me waiting for the bus at the stop, so therefore he did not see me get on the bus at the central station and therefore believes I got on a bus one stop before the Central station and only checked in when I saw the conductors.
At this point my head is spinning about just how ridiculous this whole situation is, cause I know for a fact I got on a bus at the Central station and the conductor literally walked into the bus straight after me. So the conductor did not notice me getting on a bus, when mind you there wasn't a lot of people getting on a bus, this is just insanely sketchy. So the whole conclusion of this is that i got fined, because of the assumption by the conductor, who had no valid points or arguments as to why he believes, that I was already on the bus and somehow strongly believes i got on a bus a stop before. Wish I weren't at the state of shock back then and just didn't accept whatever they were trying to tell me, cause the fault in me is believe the best in people and sometimes i just shouldn't.

worst transport ever

Thank you for the worst transport experience I have had yet in cph. How can you call yourselves award winners when you can't even manage to get indicated times of arrival in the stations right ??? Like a previous customer just said, one start is one star too many.

Indicated bus times are pure fiction

They pretend to help with but times that update suggesting when the bus should come. Great idea but their system is pure fiction and has nothing to do with when the bus actually comes. I got of a busy bus twice now as another bus was supposed to be coming in 1minute. In both cases it ended up being more than 10-15min. Thanks for wasting my time.
