This company is terrible

This company is terrible. Nothing works as it should. I bought a new phone and was denied access to a new eSIM for days because of some technical error in their system (all the while I was still paying for cell phone service I didn't have). I had to visit the store three times and spent countless hours there and the issue still couldn't resolved because it was ¨the weekend¨. Ridiculous in this day and age. I was given misinformation and lied to by the staff. As soon as this issues is resolved, if it ever is (and I have my doubts) I will be canceling all of my services and taking my business elsewhere. I pay over €100 a month to Movistar only to be treated very badly by them. The staff in the store on Grand Via are lovely but they cannot solve problems because of the ¨system. The MS app is useless and even th e store staff couldn't get it to work and accept and upload photos on my ID which I needed to do to try to solve my issue. I was sent away to try to do this by myself at home. Every time I go to the store I am sent away with some vague reassurances that the issue will be resolved ¨tomorrow. I have had a very stressful experience with MS this weekend and all because I bought a new phone.

Never ever deal with these crooks

Never ever deal with these crooks. They couldn't fit fibre optic, offered a 5g box that never worked and then constantly charged for a service they never provided. This is ongoing with debt agencies now sending letters. Called twice both for hours only to be told an agent will call back. Guess what?? No call back SCAMMERS

2 weeks ago the cable broke. Reported it. No internet since. Movistar sent message saying técnico comíng in 5 days, set up appointments, nothing happened. Completely useless. Definitely choose another company.

Jose Antonio Garcia is amazing

The first customer service agent was not helpful. He told me he couldn’t fix my daughter’s Apple Watch, because I had an appointment for a service tech to install a new cable line for my television. Seriously????

Jose Antonio Garcia saved the day. He figured out my problem and fixed it. He spent a bunch of time troubleshooting and helping me. He was absolutely amazing.

During the call they tell me having an international phone number is not a problem.
The technician does not show up TWICE.
They told me international phone number does not work.
Whatapp does not work.
The technician does not ring the bell. NOTHING.
AWFUL.

Can't use it without extra ID verification not mentioned during checkout.

I tried to sign up for an e-sim after moving here. I had my NIE and a spanish bank account but they still would not allow me to activate the e-sim after purchasing it. At no point during ordering it did it mention that I needed a photo ID provided by an EU contry. After contacting them to ask about it on whatsapp they confirmed I couldn't activate. So I found a different provider and moved on. A month later they charged me for a full month of service that they never allowed me to use. And now I'm sitting on hold with them to try to get them to cancel it because there is no where online to cancel the account.
*edit, I was able to speak to someone who put in a claim for a refund, so we'll see how that goes.

Client services horrible

Client services horrible, if they don’t want to help they just closing the case. Too difficult to get in touch with them and if you do even in Spanish language it’s impossible that someone will help, forget about help if you only speak English at all

Utterly awful

Utterly awful. Two weeks after we lost internet, still no solution offered. About 20 phone calls, appointments made then cancelled within half an hour. But they're going to report it they say, aye right !! Then they ask why are you leaving!

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY. Their internet is extremely overpriced and they will try to cheat you when you leave.

About a month ago, I switched to a different provider, made an appoitment at a Movistar Shop in my town, and returned the router. A few days ago, I received a bill from Movistar for 97 Euros, claiming that I did not return the equipment. I contacted their customer service, and they just sent me a response saying that there's no record of me returning the equipment, and that I have to pay.

I revoked their direct debit authorization so they can't take the money, but now I will have to waste me time fighting them as they try. Absolute trash company.

This is horrible company, they charged nearly €80 for using wi fi calling. No notice just huge bills they refused to refund, first go round.
Try Orange, vodafone, yoda before you use this company.
The staff were helpful but 5he company is avaricious.

Terrible - avoid!

After connection issues, when I'd visit the local shop and they couldn't help, instead telling me to contact their customer services I changed provider (who are amazing).

They continued to charge me for months following me cancelling the contract, after several calls and months they finally refunded all the money they had incorrectly charged.... And now 6 months later they've charged me for a router I returned. I contacted them again, they told me I'd be refunded on a certain date, that hasn't arrived and now yet again I'm talking to their Customer Services, trying to get my money refunded - unbelievable!

False information Movistar Espana

I tried to change the owner of an account for almost two weeks. Within the first one, call center confirmed the service without calling me back to confirm the contract. When the contract was finally confirmed, Movistar confirmed the installation visit on the 14th of April (8 to 10 am). They did not attend it. I have spend phone calls with three different persons at the call center who have given me false information, claiming that the visit was either for the 18th of April and the 15th of April. They own colleagues at the call center can’t see this false information.
I have spent money and time for this issue without an answer or accountability.

Funny or crazy company .

How is it possible that a phone company can not call me back on my Swedish number ? I do not have a Spanish number and I do not need that, except for a call from Movistar. Without a Spanish number, they say that they can not help me because they can not call me back . My fiber is down for some reason and my only
option to cancel my contract. They say that I must visit their shop and call the callcenter from the shop and
somehow work simultaneously whit callcenter and the staff in Movistar shop from my telephone !
Lets see how it goes tomorrow.

Do Not Use Movie Star

Please do not use this company.
Terrible service.
We have recently left then as the internet was very intermittent.
They now keep billing us constantly.
Even though the local movie star office in La Vital have constantly informed them that we do not owe any money.
Trying to call head office is impossible.
Please look around there are some excellent suppliers.

the customer service is just a joke - nothing else! LYING / FALSE PROMISES / INCOMPETEND

As I have no chance of having cable in my apartment they got me an old 4G wifi router which works when the sun is shining & you are next to the router! but if you leave the room or its cloudy or whatever - its just for nothing! after now maybe 15 calls I got promised MULTIPLE times that they will change my 4G into an 5G router. Today I had a mail confirmation for it - but the guy never showed up. Called them for asking what happened - WE ARE SORRY HE WILL COME A LATER TODAY - got another mail confirmation for 12-14 and of course no one showed up. Called again - the 'agent' told me they dont offer 5G routers at all. Texted on the whatsapp chat for now more than 1 hour and they just get you from 1 agent to the next and NO ONE IS ABLE TO DO ANYTHING!

Very bad experience! Internet not stable and switches off itself. I must switch off and on the line to get signal back on for 3 minutes and it repeats endlessly.
