Extremely high prices. Tech was knowledgeable but I’m in the real estate industry and their pricing is crazy high! I highly recommend calling around for better pricing!

Terrible service
Terrible service. Charged 400 dollars to fix a burner that broke 3 days later. When came back third to charge other 400 dollars to allegedly replace a part. Screwed them all. 4 months later the burner doesn’t work anymore.
Redemptive
My interactions with the company were pleasant as there was always someone who answered their phones and the tech was extremely kind and polite. But to be fair my initial service experience was bad. However, Talk about redeeming themselves! To be honest I was frustrated with the service in the beginning as I had paid $320 to have a part replaced in my washer, which was only 1 year old. When the tech left the washer was still broken and erroring the exact same way. I had to wait through the weekend for them to come out again to be told that maybe my circuit board broke as well and that would be another $275.00. At that point, I would have paid for my unit twice, and knowing how crappy Whirlpool is I was not willing to do it. I just had to eat the money I just spent on it and needless to say, I was greatly frustrated. However, the next day a manager called me and I expressed my frustration with having put so much money into it and still have a broken washer. She impressed me and told me she would replace my circuit board at no cost to me! What?! Really!? Just when you feel the world is out for your money and humanity is all but dead, here comes a human being seeing reason and is willing to make it right. I am pleasantly surprised and will definitely recommend this company in the future.
Unprofessional and Rude
March 10 marked 3 weeks since my dishwasher had been broken. I called Mr Appliance to come out and diagnose the fix. It turned out it was a repair that needed a new part.
Over the 3 weeks I called the maker of my appliance and Mr Appliance 3x, going back and forth. Every time I called Mr Appliance, I was told something different (we submitted the paperwork and are waiting to hear from the company authorizing your repair but they would order the part so it was on hand, then, we resubmitted everything they wanted and they have approved the warranty, then I couldn't even reach them by phone). The third time, when I couldn't reach them by phone, I was on the phone with the manufacturer. The manufacturer also could not reach them. The manufacturer gave me a code authorizing the repair, due to the inconvenience I had been experiencing. I called Mr Appliance and *finally* got through to someone. I was told they did not have the part on hand (which I'd been told earlier that they did) and would have to talk to someone else in the office, and that they'd call me back by the end of the business day. I made an appointment for the following morning, via their website, for the repair.
Two days passed. I did not get a phone call, and I did not get an email.
I received a call from Mr Appliance two days later to schedule service for my repair. I patiently asked to be referred to a supervisor, since I wanted to leave a complaint, and had never spoken to the person who called, and did not feel they deserved my ire.
I was connected with the supervisor, Jane. I explained calmly that I had to move on with a different company due to an inability to contact Mr Appliance, and that I would like my diagnostic fee back due to the inconvenience I had experienced due to Mr Appliance's negligence in correctly filling out paperwork. The supervisor was condescending ("I'm sure you can understand we can't just do repairs for free, can't you?") and extremely rude. While she did apologize for downed phone lines, on the day I couldn’t reach them, making it hard to contact Mr Appliance (I got through only that one time), she refused to apologize for anything else. She also tried to guilt me, saying she thought she was doing me a favor and that she was doing "a good thing" by ordering the part immediately for us, while she was working from home. This falls flat on its face considering I'd been told the part was already on hand, and that this was during *normal business hours.* This is absolutely unprofessional. A business should not guilt its clients, insisting they are doing them a favor by *doing their job.*
She insisted that my narration of my experience had not happened ("I was in the office when the girls called you, and they didn't say that") and that she had called several times and left me voicemails (she has not, neither I nor my partner have any record on contact) and that they had communicated with me to cancel the appointment that I made (they did not). She used a raised voice to speak with me, frequently interrupted me, and kept insisting that unfortunately we were at an impasse and just couldn't understand each other. The latter insistence is preposterous. I am a customer whose appliance has been out of service for weeks, not a friend with whom a disagreement is being had. I continued to insist that interrupting your customer, gaslighting them, and speaking condescendingly to them in a raised voice is not a professional course of action. The supervisor then snapped "fine, I'll send you your hundred dollars." And proceeded to hang up the phone on me.
I have given Mr Appliance a grace period of two weeks in which to refund me the cost of my diagnostic fee, and have not received it. So I am now posting this review.
While I had a positive and speedy repair with Mr Appliance in December of 2022, and would have recommended them then (as I chose to go with them for this repair), I would absolutely caution anyone against working with them. It was a horrible experience and I am badly shaken. I am also out money that my family sorely needs.
Forgot the techs name African American Guy
I had Mr. Appliance come out to my home. The company sounded professional and presented as professionals. The tech had great conversation. He gave me 3 different estimates for the same issue. It appeared he did not want to repair my washing machine. Slick talker. After getting me from 480 to repair it went to 780. I had to go out to purchase a new washer. I paid almost 150 dollars for his professional advice. It was a scam and ripoff.
Service and tech were great
Service and tech were great. Please make sure to look at the reviews for the Mr. Appliance office in your area. I talked to our local office about reviews here, the showed me all the google profiles for the different offices. My office was fantastic.
I wish it had 100 negative stars
I wish it had 100 negative stars. Horrible company. Don't give repair to them . They just want the diagnosis fee
The customer is always wrong
Bottom line at Mr. Appliance? They don't return customer complaint phone calls and the customer is ALWAYS wrong.
I specifically showed the assistant repairman which switch in the breaker box controlled the oven. Additionally, the breaker box switches are clearly marked. Several switches in addition to the one that needed to be turned off were switched off and left off when the job was complete. One of them was to my water heater. A day after the repairs were done, when I discovered that I had no hot water I checked and sure enough the breakers were in the off position. The water heater did not come back on so I had to call a plumber. I had to wait another day before the plumber could arrive. So two days without hot water. Fortunately, when the plumber opened up the water heater he found that it needed a reset, just the push of a button inside of the unit. It needed to be reset specifically because the power had been shut off at the breaker. Unfortunately, I of course, received a bill from the plumber. I contacted Mr. Appliance by phone to discuss the situation. I was immediately put on hold and then was eventually told that I'd receive a return telephone call right away to discuss the issue. It's been two weeks and I'm still waiting for that call.
However when I left a negative review on YELP I received a response right away. It basically said that my breaker switches must've turned themselves off. Enjoy that plumbing bill.
My Samsung repaired by another company for less price.
My Samsung Refrigerator Freezer was making noise so I called this company for repair. They came out and when I explained the problem, they stated they knew what it was and they need to order parts. Estimate was $550.00 and the part would come from Salt Lake City. Less than 2 days to get the part. I OK'd the estimate and they ordered the part. On the morning they were scheduled to repair the unit, they called and said the part comes from Texas and becuse of icy conditions, the part will not arrive until next week. I told them the part was in California at Samsung Distribution Center. They said it was not there (Lie) .. I discontinued and called another appliance repair. They arrived within the hour and twenty minutes later, The unit was repaired. The repairman showed me where the defrost thermostat had popped out of the holder causing a no defrost situation with ice buildup on the motor. This company will not call me back and has not refunded my money. I will never use this company again.
HORRIBLE!!
HORRIBLE the worker smelled bad of Marijuana and couldn't do the job after he came out to my house to repair my washing machine!!. He said he didn't have the tools needed!!. What a waste of time and a JOKE!!.
Mr Appliance of Morris County - Bad Experience
I have a Dacor gas range. One of the burners stopped working. On Dacor website, they have mentioned Mr Appliance of Morris County as an authorized service vendor. The technician from Mr Appliance came to check, took $130 for the visit. Told me a part needs to be changed without even trying to repair anything. When I got the quote, they told me now 2 parts need to be changed for approx $325 plus labor approx $350. Total they asked for over $675. Before saying yes, I had another local service provider come to check. This technician was really smart, cleant the burner and changed the position of the spark switch a bit and in 10 min, everything was fixed. just took $60 - can you believe this.
Beware before using Mr Appliance of Morris County next time. As you can see with this experience, either their technicians are not smart or the company just wants to rip customers. Dacor should also be careful before recommending vendors.
Both times we called for service we were very satisfied. Repairmen were friendly and knowledgeable. Price was good. Do recommend.
both times we called for service a very knowledgeable repairmen was sent. We were very satisfied. Price was good. Would recommend when service is needed. They made an appointment for service promptly.
Ridiculous Pricing
Their quote was 50% higher than many other service companies and had to pay $125 for their service call to come and provide a ridiculous quote. Not recommended at all!
Thomas came out to fix our dryer
Thomas came out to fix our dryer. He worked so hard, really cared, and was a knowledgeable technician. Thomas went above and beyond to help fix our dryer.
DON'T TRUST THEM!!!
They ALWAYS say the panel went out regardless of the type appliance and try to charge you more than you paid for the appliance. WORST repair company EVER!! RUN!!!
My experience was fantastic
My experience was fantastic. I searched for my oven door hinges and found the item I needed straight away. The site told me the item was in stock and ready to be dispatched. After purchase, I received an email telling me my order was being processed, I then received another email on same day telling me my order had been processed. Even better, the following day I received a third email telling me my order had been dispatched to Australia Post. All up, a great experience I would definitely use MrAppliance again. One last point, the price was better than other sites I checked out.
Incompetent- poor customer service
They came out and did a diagnostic on our washer then ordered parts. A week later (without a washer), we were told that our motherboard was fried and that the total cost would be over the cost of a new washer. We were still charged for the diagnostic even though they didn't catch the issue. I called to talk to them, but they still changed us. Incompetent, do NOT recommend.
Fantastic company
Fantastic company. Very responsible and very competent. They have diagnosed and worked on multiple appliances for us and did a fantastic job. Even given supply chain challenges and paying their employees fair wages they are reasonable. Others complain about prices and waiting on parts. Mr appliance seems to do all they possibly can to get parts. If you think about it, it would not be to their advantage to drag their feet on purpose they want their money. I am very pleased with their service.
Dishwasher stopped working first of…
Dishwasher stopped working first of august they came out said it would be 360.99 to fix the panel went out dishwasher just 3 years old had to give half for a deposit took month for part to get in paid rest upon repair last from august 22nd till oct 24 went out again said faulty part no charge reset button worked again till nov 9th reset again was notified today on nov 17th be end of dec or first of jan till part comes in then i am sure it wont be here then either i would not have repaired but it is a 800 dollar dishwasher but i will never use them again they cant get parts and put you off month after month poor business the worse i have ever used and my dishwasher still not working this is uncalled for warning dont use them
All About the money
Totally disappointed in their reasonable person standard for customer service & pricing. Call made an appointment no problem or issue, tech showed up on time is to why I am giving a least a 2 stars. Day before this appointment I was on the phone with GE for over 2 hours going through problem solving my situation where my oven door was in locked position and would come off. Explained the all to the company before I made appointment. After tech was here for less than 5 MIN to push one button cost $109.00. Of course tech explain he has nothing to do with the price, So I called the office, even spoke to the manager. I did explain that listen as a homeowner ,a business person I understand something must be charged for the techs less than 5 minutes to push a button and his gas but if we are being reasonable here gas and less than 5 minutes should not cost $109.00. Literally not using one tool or pulling nothing apart to be clear in my statement to the manager; it took me longer to explain the 2 hour phone call of all I the homeowner done on the phone. I ask if they could lower the price due to the situation not being nothing but a button. CLEARLY answer is no. Stated just me calling in to there office cost them $35 alone for marketing purposes. Then went on to explain that all the other companies would just replace parts and charged a tone so that wouldn't have to come back out REALLY.... I feel clearly in my opinion that this company is about money not the customer or a reasonable person standard for my situation. I respect local business and understand that anyone's time and gas are important but literally this company is around the corner from my house, and literally was less than 5 min to push one reset button. So nicely the conversation went no where with having 2 different opinions. Its extremely frustrating that a company is all about the money , Not community and a reasonable person stand that clearly being overcharged. Lesson learned for me on this one.
Okay service - unnecessary cost
The staff are well trained in behaving in a professional manner, and they are proficient in their work. However, beware of the businesses that are money oriented and not customer oriented. They advertised that their trucks are well stocked – not so. I have an average yet popular Whirlpool/Kenmore model. My unit was not cooling well and needed to auto defrost but was unable because it had frozen over. The tech checked it out and said it needed new parts and that he did not have the parts so had to order. He did assist in resetting manually which is all that it truly needed. I researched the problem after he left and for a Kenmore less than 5 years old and a reset would be the proper, and most economical solution. I also had asked him about the issue of melting ice, and he said not a problem but it left quite a mess to clean up. Luckily, there was minimal damage. The original charge with the unneeded parts would have been over five hundred dollars, almost half of what the unit cost new. I called the next day to confirm that the parts ordered were absolutely necessary and they of course said, oh yes, blah, blah, blah. I then called for a second opinion which informed me all would be fine and not to take the bait. I called once again to appeal to Mr. Appliance, and they then were willing to lower the charge to the 110 dollars service call. Oh, but when I received the new invoice, they had tacked on two additional sixty-five dollars restocking fees for the parts they should have had in the first place (costs of parts approx. $25 total). For all I know they could have cancelled the order and never received the parts needed into their inventory. I will let you be the judge as to who you would like to manage your appliance repair.
