This was a wonderful trip with gorgeous hikes up and down (many stairs!) the Amalfi coast. Each day has a unique hike offering beautiful views and opportunities to visit local features like a terraced lemon farm, buffalo mozzarella farm, a view from one of the many coastal lookout towers, cathedrals, the isle of Capri, and the amazing ancient Greek city of Paestum. The food and accommodations complimented the trip, which was curated by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides.

The experience for me on this TREK was amazing. Jeremy was very supportive in everything and very knowledgeable about the Cotswold. Zoe was informative and hilarious. A great group of people

A wonderful adventure run by a competent outfit

The Scotland Western Isles Hiking Tour was beyond our expectations. The destinations were varied and spectacular. The guides were knowledgeable, caring and thoroughly organized. The accommodations and meals were excellent, and the overall experience has us looking through the catalog of other Sobek tours we might enjoy.

If you are looking for a walking history lesson, this is your trip! Travel the cobblestones and Roman roads through Portugal and Spain. Along the way learn about the adventuresome Portuguese and the religious history of the El Camino. You will be treated to world class guides, amazing sights, excellent food and a wonderful place to lay your head at night!

MT Sobek helped us plan a perfect Safari trip to Botswana! We worked with Nicole Russo on the planning after having spoken to at least 4 other companies. By really listening to us, she was able to direct us to 3 different camps to meet our goals. For example, we really wanted a place were we could experience a night safari and mokara ride and she found that for us. Other agents were gearing us toward high season when Nicole, knowing that we were able to leave earlier, made us feel comfortable with choosing May. In addition, she narrowed down the choices for us based on our needs, so the process was much less confusing. It was an amazing life changing experience that I attribute to MT Sobek! Thank you!

Amazing trip on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Very well organized with great support by our guide Manolo and the porters. Delicious meal prepped by our chef on the trail and felt pampered (even in tents!) The restaurants were excellent and had fun putting together the traditional Peruvian panchamanca meal.

The planning before our trip, on site coordination and pick ups, handling my later arrival due to a cancelled flight, on trek care and attention, recommendations on eating, sights to see, and our general well being on the MT Sobek Ancient Passes Trek were all above and beyond expectations. Our lead guide, Pranoy, was amazing. He kept us informed about what to expect, and importantly, what to avoid to stay healthy. Our group is made up of experienced trekkers and we were amazed at this trek and how it was operated. Great trip. Do it.

First of all, the destination was superb! Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan both have a rich history and culture. it was fascinating to discover these places while they are still relatively free of tourists. Mt. Sobek did a wonderful job in catering to our wishes and providing flexibility as we went along. Everything went extremely smoothly and to our delight with regard to site visits, guides (superb!),accommodation, restaurants, variety of programme, transportation, etc. No hiccups whatsoever. wonderful trip and organisation!

Traveling the Silk Road is an experience not to be missed! This often overlooked part of the world for travel provides an opportunity for learning an important part of world history that impacts us today. The people, culture and food are amazing and truly unique to anywhere I've been in the world.

The route was great, well thought out. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable. I liked that everything was included. This was my 2nd MT Sobek trip and I would definitely travel with the company again.

The company is the best ever. From the guides to the accommodations to food. So very well organized and professional. Everything is done. All we had to do was enjoy.

“This was a great trip with a nice mix of history of Muslin influence in Spain at the beginning in Granada and Cordoba at the end with some nice hiking in the middle. The guides and food were great and we saw very few other people on the trails.

For travelers who are interested in history and architecture, this trip will more than satisfy. Unless you are an expert on ancient cultures, you will be amazed at how rich the findings are, and how sophisticated some of the settlements were. The renovations are beautifully done and are a photographers dream. For the shoppers of the world- you will be very tempted- repeatedly!

EBC features breathtaking views, challenging but beautiful hikes and a better view and understanding of the lives and culture of the Sherpa people. Our guide took amazing care of us to guarantee our enjoyment, comfort and safety while teaching us about the mountain, the expeditions and the people who spend their lives there. EBC was the destination but the journey there was the adventure. Summiting Kala Patar and the views from the top was the cherry on top. Not for the faint of heart but an amazing time and challenge.

Just finished hiking in north central Portugal with MT Sobek. An unparalleled experience! Our knowledgeable and caring guides, Pedro and Filipe, walked us through the narrow streets of Lisbon, through riverside fields of wildflowers, up rugged lesser traveled trails to castles and mountain tops, and through otherworldly geology to hidden villages. Our accommodations were comfortable, clean and unique. The food was authentic and delicious. This was our first trip with MT Sobek and we couldn’t have been happier.
