My Big Fat Brighton Weekend 

To anyone who is interesting in booking a house on this website for their hen / stag, then please read the small print before you do this. The houses on this website are not what they seem.

I have just had my hen weekend and stayed in the city point house for two nights. The house was appalling! On the website it states that the house sleeps 16 people, this was not the case. The house was more suited for a party of 10. We had a party of 14 and four of us had to sleep on the floor. We were lead to believe that the top floor of the house, had three cube up beds, which it states on their website. It was more like large cushions to sleep on. When I complained about this, there response was that we could have brought our own beds. The couches were broken and hard and the duvets and quilts were stained. When I made a complaint they replied with a standard email and tried saying that my friend who booked this, did not read the confirmation properly. We both checked the confirmation and the property description was not made clear at all.

We paid a significant amount of money for this and I our expectation to be looked after reasonable. Please make sure that if you do book with this company that the house accommodates the right of amount people for you and your guests. Do not take the photos on their website for granted.

As Maid of Honour, I was tasked with planning a fun-packed weekend that would accommodate 24 girls. I came across My Big Fat Brighton Weekend online and it provided everything we wanted and more! We stayed at Pavillion House, which was absolutely perfect in location, size, amenities and quality. For entertainment we chose a night (with meal) at Komedia, which was brilliant, and a bare bum butler (Tom, who was fantastic! Not only was he a great looking guy, but he was so lovely and had loads of games prepared for us to play. He got everyone in the party mood and really made our evening. Thanks Tom!). We stayed for three nights with the third night thrown in for free and it was perfect! All 24 girls loved it and the bride left feeling very happy!

From the planning stages right through to the weekend itself, dealing with My Big Fat Brighton Weekend was a breeze. I couldn't fault one thing. The staff were always on hand to answer my questions and help with anything and everything - even if it was 10 o clock at night! Arranging a weekend for 24 girls could have been super stressful, but My Big Fat Brighton Weekend made it easy. I really couldn't have been happier with the entire process and would definitely recommend the company to anyone planning a hen do in Brighton!

I cannot recommend this company enough!!!
As we all Know organising a hen party can be abit of a headache and being new to this hen organising Thing I had no idea where to start.
I contacted the company and the staff were more than happy to help.
No problem to big or small.
There were so many changes to the original plan organised and big fat Brighton weekend were always there to help with any questions and also came up with solutions to any problems.
We had a very central property in Dean street which slept 10 of us comfortably.
It was a little tired looking but clean and tidy none the less.
We had also organised the taste of vintage package which was awesome,
4 ladies turned up on our door step which consisted of 1 photographer and 3 hair and make up girls, we had a blast!!
Everything was sorted and we didn't need to lift a finger..... by far the easiest hen party Ever organised.
The entry to clubs and bars for later in the evening was also a god send as none of us really knew where to party in Brighton, it saved us hours of research and saved us from getting lost in a side street somewhere.
Not to mention saving us money in club entry etc because everything was paid up front.
Everyone be had a blast and we only wish we could do it all over again.
Our extremely organised bride couldn't believe how smoothly everything went.
Absolutely no stress what so ever.

I personally can not thank you guys enough.

I would like to start my review with the bad as there isn't much bad at all and I will end with the good as there was so much good!.

I booked the chef for our hen party of 14 at the house (sea lanes 2) but was very unaware that all dishes apart from a vegi option had to be the same. I was very disappointed in this. But however I was compensated with a very generous cash back. I was also upgraded to a nicer and more central house (Vagas 2)
They were very understanding about my needs and even recommend to use Deliver Roo.
As my group was not happy to agree on the same dish.

The house was perfect in every way-
Stylish, modern, extremely clean, comfortable beds, very central, bright and airy.
Each bedroom had name on the door Which was a Vagas hotel. Lovely touch.

The concervatory was an amazing bonus. Perfect for our dinner party followed by the most amazing butler in the buff. He stayed longer than he should of and entertained us above and beyond. Thank you Francisco xxx

We all had a big night out package, which was free entry and que skip but unfortunately we never made them as you had to be there before 10pm.
We went to the casino first and such a great time we missed the bars.

We went to the club directly opposite our front door.
We had a fabulous night and very short walk home lol.
Over all we had an amazing weekend and made so many amazing memory's.
All of my party said would definitely love to rent Vagas 2 again.

I stayed at Wilbury Grove. This was such a perfect space for 10 girls enjoying a hen party. A gorgeous quiet mews street. We were walking distance to Brighton and 5 minutes from the beach. My booking process with My Big Fat Brighton weekend was amazing from start to finish, the team are so helpful and really make the booking process as easy as possible. I could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you for making my friends hen weekend so perfect.

We stayed @ THE GROVE 2 We were met as agreed with keys vouchers etc by a very friendly lady. Accommodation was suited to all members of our party including those who weren't able to stair. When we arrive there was a repair that was already arranged yo be done and was completed without any disturbance. Very clean and tidy and very modern. Would defo stay again and would recommend to anyone. Also very contactable and happy to deal with any enquiry. Everything was well organised and ran to timings set. The girls had a fantastic Tim would defo do it again

I arrived home from my hen weekend in Brighton on Monday 11th July ( we were away the 8th – 11th July) – over the weekend the activities (Rum old affair package) was brilliant and the company of my girls was amazing, the booking was easy and the weekend went to plan .... However the accommodation was far from it!!

We stayed in City Point 1

When we arrived the apartment it was fility – binds and surfaces were thick with dust, there were hairs and all sorts on the bathroom floors, scum and mold everywhere, cracks, dampness, stains and damaged furniture, as well as used cotton buds in draws, cigarette butts on the balcony, blocked shower drain and more – it was disgusting!!! I called the cleaners straight away and they came back to re-clean the property.. A nice lady called Tina turned up and apologised, she then called in a team of people – who turned up smoking and in joggers, some of them complained about being there and attempted to re-clean the property – some of them were very rude!

Once they had left it was still dirty, so we went and brought some anti bac wipes and cleaned it ourselves. However there was no broom, dustpan and brush or anything else to use to clean the property- so if a glass had been broken or something for example over the weekend, there would have been no way for us to clean it up!

The maintenance man came out to clear the drain that was blocked, he was beyond rude and made it seem a massive chore to do his job!!

As well as the appartment being disgustingly dirt upon arrive, there were many other things that were unpleasant and unnacceptable during our stay - see below ...

- Poor cleanliness upon arrival

- Dishwasher didn’t work (found out after we loaded it with plates – there was no note stating this)

- No dustpan, broom or cleaning instruments

- The extractor fan didn’t work

- The blinds were broken

- The Z beds on the top floor (if you can call it a floor – it was more like a narrow landing) – these were not Z beds – they were really stained bits of foam that folded out to be a bed – which I wouldn’t let my dog sleep on – so disgusting! There was also mold around the edges of this room!

- Some of the chairs in the dining room were broken (bent legs) and one was completely unusable!

- The shelves were wonky in living area

- The kitchen was poorly stocked – we had to buy graters and things like that – The frying pans were bent and broken and there was only 1 bin bag supplied for the whole weekend, so we have to buy a real of these!

- The sofa beds in the lounge were ripped and had big dips in them.

- The TV remote was temperamental

- There was not shelf in the fridge doors, so milk couldn’t be stood up (there was however space for these).

- The sky light was fility and had cobwebs around it and a dead seagull on it!

- There were cracks and damp patches everywhere on ceilings and walls

- The downstairs sink was blocked and the second floor shower was also blocked

- The service men and cleaners complained about being called out and were very rude! Also did a rubbish job!

- The garden was full of weeds and there was a dog poo on the floor in the garden when we arrived – it was not nice to sit in or be in at all ☹

- The carpets were dirty and grimy

- There was not shower door on the second floor shower it was like it had been pulled off – as there were runners for it to go on, therefore the floor got soaked when the girls showered

- The bathroom door on the second floor l didn’t lock.

- And there was a mirror that had obviously come off it’s hook in one of the bedrooms and was just stood on the floor instead.

Also this property was advertised as a 16 person property – there was 14 of us and it was a very tight squeeze, especially as 3 of the beds were way too disgusting to sleep on!! The top floor was advertised as 'a spacious area with 3 Z beds'... but instead was a tiny space with 3 X bits of foam, that were badly stained and called beds!

I am not normally one to mean and complain, but we paid a lot of money (over £2000) to stay at what looked like an amazing property for my hen do, but it really was the furthest thing from a nice place to stay.

I was expecting some kind of compensation and at the least an apology for our stay, but have had neither and my last email hasn't been replied too. The ladies I booked through were really helpful, but customer services have been extremely unhelpful and apparently this is an acceptable state to find one of their properties in . Quote 'Although some minor points requiring attention overall the property was presented in a satisfactory condition. In his opinion (property manager) the majority of the concerns that you raised were attended to promptly and effectively by the housekeeping and maintenance team'. I replied saying the cleaning was kind of dealt with, but everything else wasn't and have been ignored!

Seriously not impresses with the quality of the accommodation and will definitely not recommending this accommodation to anyone to stay in. Also if this is acceptable state to leave a house in for guests to stay, then I dread to think what the other accommodations looks like!!

Shame that the accommodation was such a let down, as the rest of the weekend was brilliant!

As some of you may know organising a Hen Weekend for a group of 17 lady's can be a stress !!!!!!
But as soon as I got in contact with MY BIG FAT BRIGHTON WEEKEND!!!!
They made it easy , the team of lady's I spoke to and they really helped me choose the right location and night and day activities they were available even at 21:00 in the evening . We spent the weekend at an amazing house (SEA BANK ) it was so suitable for us girls the beach was a stone through away and the shops was so near too ,the rooms were clean and welcoming too .
I truly recoment this for any occasion with friends or with children too .

We came back from Brighton Monday afternoon after having spent the weekend in an amazing house called Driftwood, which was very central to everything. The Bride to be was so happy with it especially the huge table so all 15 of us could sit and eat together. The house was over 4 floors so a lot of going up and down but it was good exercise! The company were brilliant at arranging everything for us including a chef who came to the house on the friday evening, and the food was amazing, and despite him being late due to traffic the food was served on time and he had to put up with 15 giggly girls!!! Only downside was that part of the package included the chef washing up but he didn't, thankfully we had a dishwasher though! The life drawing class was by far the highlight of the weekend, it was a total surprise to all the guests and they absolutely loved it!!! Floris was gorgeous and a complete gent. Again, he had to put up with 15 women screaming ha ha! I would recommend using this company, after having arranged 8 hen do's now, this was probably the easiest as far as the logistics were concerned because the team at My Big Fat Brighton Weekend helped me with everything and even things that were out of their remit they assisted with. Very reasonably priced as well. So thank you!!!

I wanted to thank My Big Fat Brighton Weekend for an amazing hen weekend. We stayed April bank holiday weekend 2016 and the house was above and beyond our expectations.

With a house of 20 girls, there was more than enough room, beds and bathrooms and we were never cramped on top of each other. The house was spotless when we arrived and tastefully decorated. The location of the house was very easy to find and within walking distance to everything we needed.

I found my booking process very easy, all the staff were at hand whenever I had any questions and they made the whole booking very easy and were always very quick to come back to me on any queries.

Thank you to everyone at My Big Fat Brighton Weekend, you are an amazing team! I would recommend you again and again!

My Big Fat Brighton Weekend made everything easy for organizing a stag do. They are good value. As a group we were a pain, changing numbers and plans, but they just amended things without fuss and were really easy to deal with. They offered some good central accommodation and took the stress out of organizing everything. Big thumbs up.

My Big Fat Brighton Weekend were just amazing from beginning to end.
I had never organised a hen do before, so I had lots of questions and they were always quick and helpful. We ended up booking a dance lesson, an afternoon tea and a vintage makeover (we also went to the casino with our vouchers). It was a perfect day from beginning to end. Professional helpful friendly staff at all events and the locations were perfect. Everything was within easy walking distance. All Hens were very impressed. Best hen do EVER. Thank You!

I organised a weekend trip for 13 people and stayed in Marine Villa 1. The house was fantastic, well placed (1 minute walk from the beach) and nicely furnished. They also organised bar passes at an excellent rate that included drinks vouchers! Highly recommend!!

Very easy to organise - no problems whatsoever.

I organised my friends hen do for 23 people, after looking all over the country and exploring so many options it came down to where I could find the nicest large accommodation so we could all be in the same house together for the weekend rather than a hotel. When I found the website for the beach boutique house I was thrilled as soon as I saw it I knew that it was exactly what we were looking for, and Brighton itself looked like a good option for a hen party. It was even more perfect in reality, the bedrooms were really good for large groups, we had no problems all getting ready at the same time because there were enough bathrooms, and the party room downstairs was absolutely perfect it managed to be within 3 day, a bar, cinema, sit down meal area, games area and dance floor! I really can't say enough good things about the place and every single one of us thought the same. So thank you very much.

Incredible accommodation for large group, well equip, plenty of space and clean!!
Amazing activities- nude life drawing was a treat and a half to say the least for both the hen and everyone else.

Brighton was great, Ed our Butler in the buff was really lovely and fun, a true gent! Due to late booking not many houses were available but the marine villa catered for out needs (minus the journey up the stairs for a lot of the girls). The house was clean, however more storage space for people to put clothes etc was a problem, also the kitchen could do with a few more utensils to make catering for a large group easier. Service over the phone and booking was top notch! The staff were helpful and polite

We had a fantastic experience on the hen. The accommodation was spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. We also booked the cocktail package and the hens just loved it. Everything from the staff, bar and location was just excellent! Would def recommend!

We had a great stay in Brighton with Brighton Holiday homes, there were 13 of us staying in a 16 person house. Kitchen, bedrooms and living room were great, with perfect proximity to the beach and town for the stag do.

MBFBW were very easy to deal with, the website is clear and the accommodation was perfect (Bluebell House) for ten stags looking for a quality place to stay. Really good number of plates/glasses/bottle openers/fridge space....all things you need for a stag.

The safe system for keys is a really good idea which avoids those late night calls trying to find out who has the key and where they are etc.

All the guys on the stag were really impressed by the accommodation, and as the individual who booked it- that process was very simple too. It's refreshing that there is a company out there who realize that not all stag groups are a handful and don't want to wreck a place they stay in and if you are that group of stag or hens, I would whole heartedly recommend this company.
