I created an account and when it gave me Login information and Temporary Password "I could not access account"
I tried to reset password and it still did not work.
I requested to cancel account and it wanted me to Login to account.
I used Chat feature and representative Canceled account for me.

I signed up for MyFax and it didn't work, so I immediately cancelled my subscription. Have an email confirming cancellation and everything (MyFax if you're reading this the Conf # is120187733.) Just checked my bank statement and realized I have been getting charged for the last 7 months anyway. When you call Customer Support you finally get through only to hear they no longer support calls and to contact them through the website. What a scam

1.Yes the account I provided the cancellation # for is cancelled. Was not debating that.
2. I contacted chat yesterday and they said there were two accounts, one with my email and one with my email with a spelling mistake (my email is my first and last name + @gmail.com Pretty sure I know how to spell my name typically). Ok, let's say this is true, that there are two accounts. If I set up an account with a misspelled email and then set up an acct with the correct email, how would I know I have the first account in order to contact MyFax to let them know there is an erroneous account? I would never have gotten a confirmation email. Isn't it standard business practice to confirm an account via an email link to finish registration before taking payment like every other online business? How would I have completed registration? If someone makes a spelling mistake on their email (which the chat agent stated makes me liable since customers are supposed to review their info registering) then the burden for acct verification is on the company taking the customer's money to verify the account via an email link to establish registration. Otherwise, you have a situation like where there was a typo in an email and then the customer is charged for an account they don't know about, don't have access to, and cannot cancel since they don't have access. All they would know is that they never got a welcome email and would try to register again as something must have gone wrong. That is the rationale for why the standard verification process exists with every other online company. At the very least this is poor business practice and one reason to avoid MyFax.
3. How could a customer possibly cancel an account since the login info and MyFax Fax Number are sent in the initial welcome email which was never received? Seems like a good way to hold someone hostage and charge them indefinitely without them knowing.

I’m having a very hard time believing these reviews. I signed up for the 3 free trial and never ended up using it. I have one more day left until I get charged $12 for their service that I don’t need. The option to cancel your account shows up under billing under your account information, but when you press cancel it prompts you to chat with a representative. So with that being said, I follow instruction and call. When You call you are put on these long, quiet blocks of time and then an automated message says to go on the website to cancel, which puts you right back in the same loop of being able to cancel because the website doesn’t work. There isn’t an option to speak to a person when you reach out to customer service or support. I looked at the other review sites for MyFax trying to solve this issue. I reached out to support at myfax and socialsupport at myfax and they send me a link to a webpage on how to cancel, which basically is logging into the website and clicking cancel under billing, which I reiterate again does not work. Unfortunately, I will have to dispute this with my credit card company since they will not let you cancel. I never imagined in 1 million years it would be this complicated to cancel the subscription. This is the worst I’ve ever experienced and I feel scammed and bamboozled.

I've had this account for a long time, which I used very little, but it was still nice to have for my previous business. But when it was time to cancel, it was impossible. I would try to cancel, and either their website would fail in resetting my password and then I would get locked out, the phone would play music and then either fail or tell me they don't have phone support, or all emails would be replied with a no-reply email telling me to do exactly what I was unable to do by logging into the account it wouldn't let me log into. While closing some credit cards, this was the only charge that remained there; and I was reminded of all of the time I had spent trying to cancel this, and that I needed to figure out how to get by all of the barriers so that I could get it canceled. I then called the number for them on the credit card statement and was excited it was different than the one on the website; but unfortunately, it just put me back into the revolving cycle of nowhere. After spending more than an hour writing every email address for them that I could find, making several calls, changing my password without the new one working, I tried the chat button again. And then even that is automated and it takes a bit to get to the "Chat with the agent" button that I obviously wanted to do from the beginning. But I was sooooo happy once it seemed there was a human on the other side of the keyboard. The representative was nice, but I have been charged for years on an account that I didn't use and fell every time I tried to jump through hoops to get it closed. Today was my lucky day after a lot more wasted time and energy. But if you are looking for a fax service, find one with a more modern platform and actual support so that you don't get ripped off like I did. It's like they want to make it hard to cancel so that the $12.99 monthly charge slips through the cracks. They were definitely successful with getting my money for no service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely absymal customer relations. No phone support, only the sales department (to get new or upgraded members) is available by phone. All other inquiries must go through their email or 'live chat'.
Their email is an automated response that does not answer customer problems. I was charged for my subscription after the free trial ended without any notice of subscription renewal. When I contacted the support department to cancel they locked my account. Each email I sent asking for help, had an automatic 'noreplymyfax' sender that directed me to login to my locked account to cancel. I had to cancel m credit card from my bank and get a new one as I was never able to cancel their predatory subscription services.

I contacted customer support to cancel my subscription. They wrote back insisting that I had to log in and do it on the website. They require your fax number to log in to your account which I no longer had after many years of inactivity. They ended up billing me for about 10 years after I stopped using their service.

Our law firm has been using the MyFax service for quite sometime and have always been happy with the service. Our firm's credit card was compromised and we missed a few payments understandably, but MyFax customer service were very helpful and even assisted in comp'ing one of the months. Although it wasn't expected, it was very much appreciated! I would recommend this service.

Can't get a human to answer a question when I call and the recording says there is no more support via call. Simple question of why can't I send a 216 page fax and just be charged for the 116 pages over 100 pages? (Yes I'm doing it correctly) I want to spend money with this company and they won't take my call. I will give them 10 minutes to answer my same email and then I am out and onto another company. Ridiculous.

I signed up for a free trial, expecting not to be charged beyond the trial period. However, my card was charged on both May 18th and June 18th, even though the trial should have ended on May 18th. I received no billing notifications or receipts until a failed attempt on my card alerted me to the charges.
When I contacted the company, they refused to issue a refund, despite my clear explanation that I had not used the service beyond the free trial. I also found it very hard to locate any transaction history on their website, which seems intentional.
I’ve done business with them before, but I won’t be doing it ever again. I will also be reporting this issue to the BBB. Save yourself the hassle—based on other reviews, canceling the account involves a lot of trouble, and it’s clear this company relies on customers' mistakes.
