They made a mistake on my refund giving me pennies when the train conductor said you should get all money back for severe delay. Wasted time with their pathetic customer service that refused refund after acknowledging their mistake. Not to be trusted and waste of time contacting customer service

Keeps offering cashback as bait to get you to refer people but never actually lets you hit the threshold. Scam company.

I initially signed up with their app for the cheaper rail card. And indeed some of their tickets are cheaper too, but not always. I find the Trainline app is easier to use particularly when I need slightly more expensive but flexible fares. Be extremely wary of TrainPal's coupon type offers -- for example buy coupon for 5.99, get 5. off this ticket and 3 of the next. In the small print, available if you click the information icon, and it is literally in small print, the second discount is only off much more expensive, £70+ tickets. This was far from clear to me when I bought one of these, okay I'm only 99p down, but no one likes to be scammed, and so I am unlikely to use them again if this is how they choose to treat customers.

Avoid the £12.99 add-on offer. It promises a £10 discount now and a £6 voucher later, but hides a £100 minimum spend rule. Worse, even when you spend over £100, the app glitches and the voucher fails to appear. Agents Emily and Daisy openly witnessed the system failure via screenshots but refused a refund, copy-pasting generic scripts about 'company policy'. Absolute scam. I have initiated a formal bank chargeback to get my money back. Avoid this app.

Their customer service is atrocious and even after multiple emails and attempts to secure a resolution they'll ignore your point and regurgitate the same points which aren't relevant to your claim.

Altogether appalling service from from booking, which is NOT elderly friendly to actual journey. Difficulties getting from one station to another in time allotted without assistance. seating in very last carriage, real possibility train would leave without me, though I was on the platform. No air conditioning which from a large number of previous reviews is a known failing. Biggest failing was errors in booking which produced a ticket from London only; no refund no amending start location; cost double. NEVER use again back to National Rail even if it costs more.

We had just arrived at the airport and needed to get to Leeds. I looked at a coach journey first but then looked at trainpal which was cheaper. It was easy to book and the price was amazing!!!

Quick and easy booking process and really reliable information given for delays and general departure information.

My train was cancelled, yet the company decided I wasn't entitled to a refund for the ticket I couldn't use. They had information about the cancellation, and I even provided photos of the station's information board. I’ve used this app many times before, but I’ll never use it again, and I advise anyone who doesn't want to feel robbed to stay away.

Great low prices with discounts on a Senior rail card. Updates on any disruption to travel. Fabulous

Trying to actually book a ticket and use a promo code is impossible! 1) there is no chat button on the app 2) contacting anyone is also impossible 3) it wants me to go through social media, which is mystifying

Really easy to install and use. App offers excellent route planning with split tickets when available to reduce prices. Information on allocated seat and arrival platform. Significant savings on ticket prices.

I didn’t have any seat for 3 hours I had to sit on the floor an till same one come and told me you can seat there for 1 hours and after that I changed trains it was 4:30 hours
and i didn’t have any seat for 2:35 hours TrainPal is very bad

It was an okay journey, but i spent £5.30 for a 10 minute journey which ended up being on a bus which the price was very ridiculous just for that short of a distance and that small amount of time

Like the app most of the time, although get frustrated with the promotions and offers, they're gimmicky and never straightforward to use, I've bought the add on vouchers before and never been able to use them and get their full value. The refer a friend is messy and a gimmick too. Unless you're just buying straightforward tickets the app is too busy and not particularly user friendly.

Very disappointing experience. I paid extra for the "Free Change & Refund" add-on because it clearly suggested I would be able to cancel or refund my booking if my plans changed. When I tried to cancel, I was told my ticket was non-refundable, making the add-on effectively worthless.

The wording is misleading and gives customers the impression they are buying refund protection when, in reality, it only applies to tickets that are already refundable or changeable. This should have been made much clearer before purchase.

I feel misled into paying for a service that offered no benefit for my booking. I would not recommend purchasing this add-on, and I hope TrainPal improves its transparency and treats customers more fairly.

Very good app lots of discounts

Never any issues, good prices and user friendly app.

Was lured to signing up with company to take advantage of a blue light discount code however this could not be applied at checkout despite being valid. App feels glitchy and is riddled with distracting popups. On top of this I logged a support request to which they still have not responded many days later. I booked elsewhere and will be requesting this company delete my Information.

Great app, pleased with my savings and so easy to use. I recommend it!!
