We are extremely disappointed with how our recent Nectar purchase has been handled, and we are hoping someone at the corporate level will review this and make it right.
We ordered the Nectar Ultra mattress after speaking directly with a Nectar sales representative. Amy specifically asked about the differences between the Premier and the Ultra because we were purchasing this mattress for medical reasons — fibromyalgia and significant back pain. The representative explained that we could use the Premier adjustable base but upgrade to the Ultra mattress for better support. She built the cart for us. We did not manually add items ourselves.
Based on her guidance, we completed the purchase.
Instead of receiving the Ultra mattress we discussed and agreed upon, Nectar delivered the Premier mattress.
We contacted customer service immediately. The mattress had only been in our home a matter of days. There was no damage, no misuse, no extended trial. We simply informed them that the wrong model was delivered and requested an exchange for the Ultra we ordered.
The response we received was shocking.
We were told that in order to receive the Ultra mattress, we would first have to pay off the entire balance of the Premier mattress that was mistakenly shipped to us. Only after paying off the wrong mattress would they arrange to pick it up and allow us to purchase the correct one.
We are not asking for a refund.
We are not trying to “return” the mattress under the 365-night trial.
We are not experiencing buyer’s remorse.
This is not a satisfaction issue. This is a sales and fulfillment error.
Being told to activate a 365-night satisfaction guarantee in order to correct Nectar’s own mistake makes absolutely no sense. The trial policy is designed for customers who change their minds after sleeping on the mattress. That is not what happened here.
We relied on the guidance of a Nectar representative. She built the cart. We trusted the process. We paid for what we believed was the Ultra mattress.
If there was a mistake in how the order was processed, that responsibility should not fall on the customer to financially absorb first.
Requiring customers to pay off a product they did not intend to purchase before correcting an internal error is unreasonable and deeply disappointing. It creates unnecessary stress, especially when the purchase was made with medical comfort needs in mind.
We are simply asking for what we originally ordered.
We expect Nectar to stand behind its sales representatives, take responsibility for this fulfillment mistake, and arrange a proper exchange without forcing us to pay for an error that was not ours.
A company’s integrity is revealed when something goes wrong. We hope Nectar chooses to correct this properly.
It was a good price compared to similar mattresses. It was delivered on time, with lots of communication about when it will arrive.
The mattress itself is very comfortable, nice a firm and supportive. It was ready to sleep on very quickly, expanding to its full size within a couple of hours.
I haven't had to use the 365 day option yet, or the lifetime guarantee yet, and hope I won't have to if the mattress keeps its integrity.

We love our new king sized mattress - we loved our old one and were nervous about replacing it, especially without trying the options first. We read all the reviews and took cost into account too and nectar hit the sweet spot. The mattress came on time and after the first few days after the smell dissipated (it’s wasn’t bad) we really settled into it and found our sleep has greatly improved.

Bought mattress from nectar sleep and was amazing for the first year then a dip appeared, meaning you could feel the bed slates while sleeping. Dispute numerous home visits and conversations with nectar it’s deemed it wasn’t enough of a dip
In the mattress so wasn’t covered under the lifetime guarantee. Might as well not have that included. Expensive mattress for it to only last just over a year which is a shame because was so comfy to begin with.
Terrible customer service. Wouldn’t recommend and certainly wouldn’t buy from this company again in the future

I bought a Nectar mattress in September 2021 for around £700, partly because of the advertised “Forever Warranty.”
After about 4.5 years, the mattress developed a noticeable one-sided dip that caused ongoing back discomfort. Nectar arranged an independent inspection, which confirmed measurable settlement (2 cm). However, this was deemed “within manufacturing tolerance,” so no replacement, refund, or even goodwill discount was offered.
Customer service was polite and responsive throughout, but the outcome was effectively that a mattress causing back issues is considered acceptable as long as it doesn’t exceed an internal sag threshold. Comfort, health impact, and real-world usability were not taken into account once the mattress was deemed “within spec.”
This ended up being £700 wasted, as I now have to dispose of the mattress and replace it elsewhere to avoid further back problems. The process was professional, but the warranty offers far less practical protection than the marketing suggests.
If long-term support and back health matter to you, be aware that “Forever Warranty” does not mean the mattress will actually be replaced when it stops being comfortable.

Everything went well except opening the mattress plastic wrapping the special "knife" provide still managed to make a small cut in the bottom fabric of the mattress despite trying hard to be careful.
Despite that it has not affected the excellent sleep the mattress gives me and that is the most important fact.

had our mattress for 18 months dipped both sides wouldn’t support an egg worst pile of rubbish i have ever wasted money on after reading the reviews and experiences of people trying to get them to sort mattress out and being fobed off with pitafull excuses didn’t bother so i have brought another mattress from bensons and would definitely advise people to think before ordering this junk i have never had a mattress that i would say worst sleep or support ever response is pretty much the same to everyone who complains avoid nectar save your money

Had to buy nectar as Emma stopped making fully memory foam. So far the mattress is shaped like a banana and sloped to one side. Even after hours of been un rolled. Email sent to Nectar and so far my experience is awful. Wish I could add photos to this review. Looks like be asking for my money back. Watch this space.

Mattress failed after 2 years. Two huge craters and a high point in the middle. Nectar sent a "Mattress Inspector" and because there was a very small amount of staining (the size of your fist) they said the warranty is void. This is their way of getting out of their warranty obligations - disgusting company. Highly recommend if they are going to send an inspector, you clean it first.

Bought a nectar mattress in 2019. I started to sleep so soundly I wouldn’t even dream. 7 years on, there is one side with a clear indent in it. However, it is still incredibly comfy and if it ends up not covered by warranty - I’d buy another.

We bought a Nectar mattress in June 2022 for £679, after a discount of £339 (Order #NUK106271). Because it was quite an expensive purchase, we expected a high‑quality mattress. However, within the first year—still inside the return period—the mattress started to settle unevenly. We followed all the instructions, including rotating it every 15 days, but the problem continued.
We contacted customer service to return it. Instead of helping us, they persuaded us to keep it by offering a discount and a “lifetime warranty,” saying the mattress just needed more time to settle. Unfortunately, we trusted them and withdrew our return request. That was a big mistake.
After another eight months, the mattress was still uneven. We contacted Nectar again, and they arranged an inspection by Emmiera Group Ltd. The engineer arrived with two 100g weights and a piece of string to test the mattress. We were shocked—how can 100g represent a real person who weighs over 50kg? Unsurprisingly, the engineer reported that “nothing is wrong” and that the mattress was “still settling,” even after 2.5 years.
Emmiera Group Ltd claim to be independent, but they clearly work for Nectar. Their assessments always favour Nectar.
Six months later, we requested another inspection because the mattress had become even worse. The same company came with the same equipment and gave the same conclusion. I even asked the engineer to stand on both sides of the mattress. On the good side, he could stand easily. On the dipped side, he struggled to keep his balance. I pointed this out, and he admitted he understood, but said his equipment and training required him to say the mattress was fine. Nectar still refused to replace it.
It has now been four and a half years, and the mattress is still “settling,” according to them. In reality, it is extremely uneven and uncomfortable.
To customers:
Please be careful when buying a mattress from Nectar. They will sell you a poor‑quality product and then make it very difficult to return it. Emmiera Group Ltd are not truly independent—they always side with Nectar. If you decide to return your mattress, do it immediately and do not let them talk you out of it.
If Nectar finally resolves my issue by replacing or refunding the mattress, I will update this review. If not, it shows they do not care about their customers. In my experience, it feels like a trap.
24/03/2026-Nectar has not taken any action. It seems they do not care for the customer. I would say be careful while buying their product.

We purchased a Nectar mattress in 2023, and now in 2026 we’ve noticed that it has developed abnormal indentations where we sleep. This has been causing significant back and neck pain for several months, and it took us some time to identify the mattress as the cause.
The company requires visible sagging of 1.5 inches, but that’s impossible to capture in a photo since it’s memory foam. The issue is clearly with the internal support.
We are both small, lightweight people, and after only 2.5 years, this feels like a real scam

We bought in March 2021. The first year was excellent, we were very happy with our purchase. In January 2026 we had to buy a new one. The matress started getting saggy quite progressively after around 18 months, but we thought it was our idea. We were patient, but eventually we asked for an inspection to claim the alleged guarantee in October 2025. They told us the damage was normal, so we didn’t qualify. I was so disappointed to realise that we bought a mattress practically for maximum two years. Most reviews are from recent purchases, but few tell a story from the future. I have a sensitive low back, so my standards are high. But even my husband couldn’t stand it anymore. Utterly dissatisfied.
