Bought the classic memory foam double mattress, for the first couple of weeks I was almost certain it was way to hard but after a couple of weeks it softened noticeably. Now it feels perfect, at first it gave me slight back pains but I’m pretty sure that’s because it’s straightening my back out where I’m used to much softer mattresses. I did add a mattress topper from Dusk which has made it even better, it’s so comfy now. Love it, having much deeper sleeps.

I suffer with chronic insomnia so I am very particular about my bedding and mattresses. I spent a lot of time researching which would be best for my needs and eventually decided that Nectar was the one for me.
I was incredibly pleased with my mattress to begin with. It was extremely comfy and slept very well on it.
So much so that I decided to order a second mattress for my spare room.
Unfortunately after a couple of years my first mattress developed a dip in the middle. It was a significant dip which could be seen. This caused me to roll into the dip during the night and then was causing me back pain.
I contacted Nectar regarding this and they sent out an independent engineer to check for the dip. He agreed that there was a noticeable dip but that the dip would have to be more than 2 inches (which is a significant amount) before Nectar would replace.
I was disappointed with this so I contacted Nectar again and asked for a second opinion. They eventually agreed to send out a second independent engineer to re-do the inspection.
The second chap was very thorough and also agreed that there was a significant dip in the mattress, but he also mentioned that he has done a lot of inspections for Nectar and that they are always very reluctant to replace any mattress. So it would seem that the ‘lifetime guarantee’ is pointless.
I have had to put pillows underneath my mattress on the top of my bed slats to prop up the dip in an attempt to make the top surface a little more even. It’s not perfect, but until I can afford another mattress it will have to do.
I am very disappointed after spending so much money with Nectar that they refused to do anything to help. The only thing they suggested was getting a mattress topper…I did try this, but the topper just dipped where the mattress dipped. So that was another waste of money again.
Very unhappy and sleep deprived customer.

This weekend we have finally given up on our Nectar Hybrid mattress. It has developed hollows on either side where myself and my husband sleep creating a ridge which runs right down the middle, making it incredibly uncomfortable and, I'm sure, contributing to my hip and lower back pain.
I have corresponded by email with their customer services over the weekend - not to ask for a refund or part reimbursement, but to ask them to simply take the useless mattress away to be recycled, free of charge.
They have declined. They have quoted the nonsense "Forever Warranty" to us but, as we have already purchased a replacement mattress elsewhere, we do not have the time or inclination for them to send one of their technicians out to look at it and tell us its fine, like other reviewers have experienced.
They told us to contact our local council collections to send it to landfill. Very environmentally responsible company! Stay away. Very disappointed.

I bought my King size mattress in October 2021, I'd say it was a very good sleep for about 2 years.
Since then I've noticed a significant dip continue to develop in the middle which I can't seem to avoid rolling into (I sleep alone). The mattress gets rotated (not flipped) every 2 weeks when the sheets get changed and the bed frame follows their guidance for support.
At the beginning this mattress really helped with my back pain, I'm just disappointed that it was only helpful for about 2 years and looking at all the customer feedback online, I don't know if I have the capacity to try and run the gauntlet of dealing with their customer service for their 'forever warranty'.
Sadly it only exacerbates my back pain now at 3.5 years old.

I bought Two of these mattresses, one for myself and for the spare room, having done lots of research, the mattress’s arrived, from day 1 I was not happy but persevered, it sagged in the middle so have it time to fully puff up, the picture with the bowling ball and glass of wine is a joke, I don’t believe this is real, the roll together is horrendous, along with the dipping, I have developed back and knee pain. I have to put a pillow under my knee to keep in an a horizontal position just to make it comfortable, I was asked if I wanted a replacement but this meant I had to return the mattress leaving me with no mattress and only when they received it would they send out another, this was not ok, I asked if the driver could collect the old when delivering the new, that said they could not do this. They then said I could purchase another and when they received the old one they would refund only if it was in the condition that the photo was taken, if it had any marks on it they could not refund. I did not have faith in the delivery to do this. As I cannot afford a new mattress yet I am stuck with the ineffective one. I would not recommend this mattress to anyone. DO NOT BUY

First year was good and now 2 years have passed and no one sleeps on this nectar mattress as it gives anyone who dares to sleep on it back pain and it is a health hazArd, we contacted support who were useless , they sent a rep from one of those insurance companies and we already knew they was not going to help , he quickly got on it and said oh yh it's fine. What waste of 1k never use this mindless company again. Please guys stay away.

I specifically asked before buying if the mattress has side handles to help move the mattress and was told it did, but on arrival, it didnt. As I am disabled this was a problem. Nectar did give me a £50 reduction but its proving difficult as I have to get someone to help me which isnt always easy. The mattress is comfortable, possibly a bit softer than I thought it would be but a vast improvement.

Changed from the cheaper memory foam as recommended by Nectar stating it would be more suitable for me to the more expensive hybrid one as it was to soft but the hybrid is not suitable either as i have two very damaged vertebrae's i first thought i need to give it a try but after a long time trying it has to go as it dips to much and i cant turn due to my back so basically i wake every day in excruciating pain after having the mattress checked by some technician who claims there is nothing wrong although the dip where we sleep is clearly visible well i requested my money back i am hoping to get a refund so if you have back problems i would not recommend this item

Reasons NOT TO BUY a Nectar Mattress. When things go wrong their CS are hopeless!
1 - new mattress, 6’ superking was initially fine but became faulty - verified by there chosen firm of furniture engineers - we had to wait a month for an appointment!!
2 - their engineer advised us the mattress was faulty. Good news we thought - but no contact from Nectar, so after 10days I made contact and requested a refund (preferred). I have no faith a replacement will be better given its the same mattress sold originally and manufactured exactly the same. Nectar rejected my request.
3 - Nectar CS offered a replacement (per consumer law). I was explicit that my wife and I no longer wish to sleep on their product, but offered a solution to put a replacement Nectar mattress in our spare room as this has occasional use - but our spare room has a smaller (cheaper) king size bed - good news you would think for Nectar as it will be reduced cost for them to provide and ship.
No absolutely not - silly me!! after 6 emails and another week of back’n’forth (still with a rubbish mattress) their CS repeatedly insist they can only provide a Superking (they did offer a higher spec superking) but clearly do not listen to their customers or care about resolving their faulty product promptly!
So now I believe they are being unreasonable and think about going to the Ombudsman for common sense help - BUT NO Nectar are not part of or subscribe to the Furniture Ombudsman and now I can guess why!! No oversight whatsoever.
We measure a company by how they perform when something goes wrong - NECTAR FAILED, their CS could have made a positive impact BUT NO, their CS team are hopeless and unreasonable.
So now I wish to warn other potential customers with this detailed review of our poor experience.

Well after 9 months it was a not for us!
I am however giving Nectar 4 stars 🌟
The mattress started off so comfortable but after 6 months it just didn’t feel the same . We bought different toppers but no good .
I contacted Nectar and after offering another topper ( declined as had tried ) we asked it to be returned . It has been collected today after 2 days and I have been advised I will get a full refund shortly. I think the overall experience had been brilliant and thank goodness for 365 day trial .
Such a shame but don’t let it put you off as I am sure many people find it a perfect.
