I did not get all the answers I wanted but Noel was great with timely, accurate responses.

Every staff member we interacted with was great, and the program itself is awesome.

I have found Neon support very helpful as I was kinda thrown into this platform with no training. I have found sharing screenshots allows us to commuicate more effectively in finding solutions and confirming that I am doing the right thing!

Not the right fit for small or mid-sized nonprofits
We don’t recommend NeonOne for small or mid-sized nonprofits.
Having worked in customer service and sales, I know there is usually flexibility in how a company handles individual cases. Instead, we were consistently pointed back to the contract language and told we could not be released from it. That is their right.
We explained that we had not used the product for months and that, as a small nonprofit, every dollar matters to us. We had also paid a one-time fee the previous year for a service we never used. That was our mistake, but we noted that NeonOne had already benefited meaningfully from our business. We asked whether they would allow us to terminate early so we could redirect those funds to our programs. We even asked about ending just two months early. Each time, we were told the contract did not allow it.
Again, this was entirely within their rights. Ultimately, though, we felt treated as a revenue source rather than as a grassroots organization they were there to support. If you’re a small nonprofit, read the contract terms carefully before signing, and don’t count on any flexibility later.

The one on one was great. The promised recording of our session didn't come through though.

Excellent communications at all levels from sales, to account manager, to data implementation to web design! Just started working with support, so can't provide any feedback yet, but so far everything has gone very well. Lots of other resources, tutorials, webinars, etc. provided, too.

Well, my recent experience with technical support was great as it dissolved my problem quickly. But for a Neon in general review, I would say the four stars mean it Is good. I couldn’t make it great because I find some annoying things when using it. For example, when paging through a long list of accounts to skip to the next page, it leaves you at the bottom of the next page rather than the top of the next page and then if you selected many entries to a page and are at the top of the page you need too go all the way down to the bottom to find that next page button — the next page button should be at the top and the bottom of the page or even at a point that it doesn’t scroll off when you page. There are other things like that I’ve encountered.

There was a customer service transition, and it was handled expertly.

Neon support staff are quick to respond, helpful, patient friendly and professional. The user interface for the software is easy to use and intuitive. Available training through neon academy is concise and effective and can help you navigate all areas, even as a novice user.

The customer service reps were so kind and patient.

The IT help was extremely helpful in prompting the Neon admin at RAM to grant everyone access to Events contact lists.

**A solid nonprofit CRM with lots of potential**
We’ve been using Neon CRM to manage our nonprofit’s donors, fundraising, events, and communications. Overall, it’s a solid system with a lot of functionality and flexibility. I especially appreciate having donor history, recurring gifts, events, and reporting in one place.
The biggest challenge is that some reporting and data analysis can be difficult to navigate. Sometimes getting a simple answer requires knowing exactly which filters to use or exporting the data to Excel for additional analysis.
That said, Neon has been a valuable tool for our organization, and I think it has strong potential for nonprofits that are willing to invest the time to learn the system. I’d especially like to see more intuitive donor lifecycle reporting and automated stewardship tools in the future.

SO many great things about Neon. Except when things aren't great. I like the events and the unlimited accounts in the CRM. I appreciate the one-on-one training and that they are constantly improving the system. The team responds quickly and respectfully to our organization. Pulling reports can be tricky, but the experience is improving with time.
One important downfall is that, as a performing arts company, we tend to have more specific ticketing and event needs to ensure our patrons and attendees have a smooth and pleasant experience. Right now, Neon doesn't have all the capabilities we need. It has so many capabilities, though; I am confident it will improve as the years move forward.

When ever I reach out to Neon Support - I get such great help

Well, the onboarding is just unbelievable difficult, I've had to contact CS so much for issues that are bugs in the Software or details with no explanation. I'm finally on sabbatical to try and finish getting it set up but I've had to hire a young tech guru to help me project manage the tech issues, at its NOT cheap to pay for that help but I can't do it alone. Very disappointing how hard it is and the little front end support is mainly just telling me about its features but NOT what investment of time to learn and customize will actually take.
