SO many great things about Neon. Except when things aren't great. I like the events and the unlimited accounts in the CRM. I appreciate the one-on-one training and that they are constantly improving... See more

Neon One is the nonprofit relationship management platform designed to help small and midsize nonprofits build the personal connections that fuel their missions and drive growth. By centralizing all data and tools, Neon One gives teams a true 360° view of every donor, volunteer, and member, replacing fragmented spreadsheets with meaningful insights. The platform simplifies growth by automating personalized communications and routine tasks, ensuring every supporter feels valued while saving staff precious time. The impact is clear: organizations using Neon One see an average 33% increase in donations within the first year. Neon One is built to grow alongside each organization as its community expands. Unlike other nonprofit CRMs that increase costs based on record counts, Neon One offers a fair pricing model based on a nonprofit’s annual revenue. This ensures that growing organizations are never penalized for expanding their supporter lists or increasing their outreach. By aligning costs with financial capacity, Neon One remains a sustainable, long-term partner for nonprofits dedicated to increasing their social impact and donor loyalty. Neon One provides industry-leading support, with free live chat, email and phone support being included for all customers.

Our Non Profit was a Neon One customer for about five years. Their subscription automatically renewed, along with a price increase. Neon uses an opt-out renewal system with a specific written-notice window, and missing that window meant another full-year commitment. We never saw this notification and it does not recquire a signature or any proof that we received this message. Apparently we missed the 30 day response window by a few weeks and we exchanged several emails with multiple management personel asking Neon to reduce the commitment or allow a partial buyout, but Neon declined. We were forced to pay for 10 full months after submitting our cancelation in writing. We origianlly wanted to cancel because it is a do it yorself platform and the customer service is very bad.

We just signed up for Neon One about a month ago, and after 4 weeks of training, we now realize that Neon One is not as dynamic as what was presented to us. Interesting that they have 4 weeks of training and do not offer a money back guarantee. You find out after the training that the product is inferior and can't do anything about it. Even after submitting a survey and an email to the person who previewed the product with us, letting them know of our disappointment in the product features, no one has offered us a solution or a refund for the remaining 11 months of contract. This is a clear indication that they do not stand behind their product or make any attempts to satisfy their customers. Stay away and do not purchase this CRM or you will regret it!

We have been with Neon One CRM for about a decade. They market themselves as being easy to reach by phone within 67 seconds, but apparently they no longer have a phone number.
For weeks now we have been trying to restore a critical integration between our fundraising platforms that Neon One phased out last month without any prior notice, they are not getting back to the developers trying to resolve the integration disruption, nor responding to us regarding if there is a plan to restore the integration.

Poor communication ahead of deadline and awful communication of how to transition to new forms. Even after migration, forms were not working.

I was given clear and concise instruction, very quickly I might add, that solved my problem and allowed me to accomplish my mission

Neon has made a lot of improvements and is working well for our organization. However, it seems the price goes up every year. Since Neon is not a fully integrated platform for all of our needs, and because we don't use all of the functionality for which we are paying, we are in a spot of being satisfied with the product, but considering exploring other options due to frequent price increases.
To be fair, I haven’t priced other CRM so I don’t know how Neon compares.

The system is user-friendly. When we need help on processes, customer service is pretty quick and friendly. Our account manager checks in regularly and has provided direction to training, whenever necessary.

I started working with Neon One CRM and Arts People a few months ago. The spin up webinar was very helpful and most of the operations are intuitive and easy to pick up. The integration between the various functions within the two applications is relatively seamless. Any issues or questions I had during operations was quickly and competently addressed by the support team members. Those same people were also helpful and friendly on the application specific webinars. In addition, the interaction with public facing operations has led to a quicker and more secure ticketing process.

The system is user-friendly, and we're happy with the system and its features. The staff are very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and available for questions and are responsive.
Some of the onboarding went very quickly, and there could have been a bit more how-to instruction (or videos available) for daily tasks (inputting data, configuring letters, etc.).
Having input from the data specialist prior to uploading would be beneficial to discuss available downloads from previous program. The maximum of 6 data spreadsheets added some work when we initially could have done a full export from Bloomerang which included everything needed for the import.
Not being aware that importing the attachments from our previous system would be an additional cost was unexpected. Making the sales team aware of that to let customers know up front would have been good.

Fast, helpful responses to questions - even when it's not the answer you're hoping for :)

Our saleswoman, Brooke Carlucci, flat out lied about 2 of the most important features we were looking for in a new CRM - it does well with and for golf tournaments and it is easy to set up volunteer schedules and for volunteers to sign in and out. Neon One does neither of those well. While it may be easier to use to send mass emails to our constituents, that hardly makes up for the lack. Neon One is clunky and does not have ease of use for our set up or for registration by the public. Neon One is not streamlined to set up volunteer schedules (good heavens, one has to set up the week as if new Every. Single. Week.) nor is it easy for our volunteers to sign in and out of.
