On 07.02.2026 my Netatmo outdoor module stopped reporting data and I was not able to get it working again. On 08.02 I contacted Netatmo customer support and after a few mails back and fort with information, Netatmo customer support concluded that my outdoor module was broken and I got a new one on warranty. The module was only 1.5 years old. On 11.02 I ordered an new one and it was sent from Paris on 12.02 and I received it today on 13.02 in Bergen, Norway.
Netatmo customer support was very professional and instructed me to try a few things, but concluded that the module was broken without any discussion and gave me a discount code to get a new one including free shipping.
Excellent customer support.
I strongly advise against purchasing products from Netatma. When it comes to warranty claims or complaints, they avoid issuing refunds. I strongly do not recommend them.

Verry good service. The more detail you give, the faster the solution.
I have received fantastic service and guidance and have been sent new products, even after the warranty ended. I can only give Netatmo my very best recommendation👍👍👍
We have a large house and bought 2 Netatmo thermostats to cover 2 underfloor heating circuits, and 2 more to cover 2 radiator circuits. For the latter we also purchased 16 Netatmo radiator valves. So a considerable investment - which we now bitterly regret.
The thermostats seem to be broadly OK. But the radiator valves are an absolute disaster area. Of those 16, we have so far sent back 3 for repair, and have another 7 here which are in some way broken.
The most common fault is the e-paper display which just gives up after a year or so and becomes illegible. We've had 8 like that.
We've also had two where the plastic tabs holding the valve onto the radiator just broke.
To be fair, Netatmo have so far agreed to repair/replace 4 of them (even though out of guarantee), and I am waiting to hear about the other 6. But that doesn't make the product any good - these faults should have been ironed out at the design stage.
So if anyone out there is considering purchasing these valves - don't.
I also bought a Netatmo weather station. The outdoor module failed after about 18 months and I was told it could not be replaced because the problem was caused by ... damp. Yeah, that's kind of normal for outdoors, isn't it?
So my overall impression of the company is that the manufacturing level is shoddy and not designed to withstand real world conditions.

After trying everything I could find online, I was not able to get the Netatmo Weather Station back into Apple Home. Contacted Support at Netatmo by email. Got a fast response. Tech support gave concise, step by step directions on how to reset it and readd it to Apple Home. It worked. Now we can ask Siri for the temperature in the backyard, which is more convenient and faster than opening the Netatmo app. Have had the Netatmo Weather Station (main module, outdoor module, rain gauge, indoor module) for several years. It is used daily. We love it.
I love the product… when it works. Unfortunately there is next to no hope of buying a replacement module in Australia when a part fails. I would rate this 5-stars if proper after sales support and replacement parts were available in Australia. My outdoor module failed and there is no hope of fixing it. Netatmo gets 1 star because of the ultimate disappointment and waste of resources when something cannot be fixed. Do not buy this product if you live in Australia.
EDIT: Macgear does not list your product on their website. Legrand does not sell the outdoor module individually. Considering the rate at which the outdoor modules fail (see numerous user reports) that is a problem. Who wants to buy a frequently failing product with no option for replacement or repair of a failing part? I have directly contacted both Macgear and Legrand directly and will report the outcome here. The outdoor module has been in a sheltered position. It worked for less than 24-hours hours after replacing batteries. The indoor module still works. The outdoor module is situated less than 3m away from the indoor module, albeit needing to pass through one wall which isn’t even brick. There is no other obstruction or interference. The inside of the module is clean and dry. There is no corrosion of battery contacts. There is a good stable wifi connection for the indoor module. Are there any software issues that sound right for this behaviour? You see the problem is I don’t want to risk replacing the whole weather station only to have the outdoor module fail again a week or a year later.

Very disappointing experience. The thermostat failed after just 5 years, and the manufacturer has confirmed it is faulty. For a product that controls heating and hot water, this lifespan is completely unacceptable.
What’s worse is the suggested “solution”: I was advised to bridge thermostat ports or join control wires as a temporary fix. This is not something that can be done safely without a qualified technician. Expecting customers to interfere with electrical or heating controls is inappropriate, potentially dangerous, and could easily invalidate warranties or insurance. This is simply not a viable or responsible option.
The company then offered a 25% discount on a replacement, which does not adequately address the situation. The product has failed prematurely, there is no safe interim solution, and the faulty unit must be shipped back, meaning no heating or hot water during that time.
Overall, poor product reliability and an inadequate response to a clear fault. I would not recommend this thermostat or the company based on this experience.
Update: 21/01/2026
First, the Netatmo Thermostat controls both my heating and domestic hot water. I do not have a separate device for hot water (for example, for showers). This was clearly explained in the support ticket I logged, so this information should already be on record.
Second, the reported fault does not only concern the display. The device frequently fails to operate when the batteries are low or when it loses connection with the relay. Over the last several months, it has become increasingly difficult to use due to constant errors such as “Netatmo relay is unreachable” and “The relay cannot join the thermostat”. These errors now occur daily, making the system unreliable and unfit for normal use.
Finally, while I acknowledge that the device is technically out of warranty, it has lasted less than five years, which is an unacceptably short lifespan for a product of this type and price. I only contacted support once the issues became persistent and disruptive. Based on this experience, the durability and reliability of the product do not justify the original investment.

Camera went pink, netatmo said it would change it and I should contact the supplier (amazon). However amazon refers to Netatmo itself..
So now nobody is answering me and my camera is still broken.
I would’ve bought more cameras and was interested in the weather station but now 👎🏻👎🏻.
Update 20/1:
Amazon refers strictly to you. There’s even no possibility to contact them.

I contacted support to report an issue with the online store. While the initial response took a while, it wasn’t surprising as it was the holiday period. When I did get a reply, it offered more than I expected. Thanks Jérôme!
Very nice equipment for Weather measures.
Good price, very polite and professional service when I had an issue that needs somehelp.
Product battery was depleted at less than half time it was claimed to last. However support was very helpful in getting me a replacement
The right and only brand with co2 sensor for my Apple HomeKit. Fast email respond. Fast refund of returned products. (I ordered wrong product in the first place) Ordered right product now. Nice design.
RESPONSE TO NETATMO'S REPLY: I am helping my 77 year old father Lodewijk with this and we used his email address for the support ticket. If you replace Florian in the email address with his name you will find the ticket and see that there still hasn't been any response so far.
It's been 9 days since our Netatmo radiator valves have stopped working and after trying all the methods to get them to work again from the support pages and the forums, still we get the same seemingly unavoidable error code. It's far below 0 here and we still didn't receive ANY human response to our support ticket in which we provided all the info. So we took the valves off and replaced them with analog ones. If we get any help through support which addresses the issue properly I will adjust the rating, but until then it's certainly a 1 star.
PS: I feel it's a rude tactic to say I didn't provide any response to you. Your request for more information was literally in my inbox 2 mins after you wrote the reply below.

I have a couple of Netatmo thermostats and now 5 valves, 4 usable to be precise. On one valve the retaining tabs of the mounting nut failed, gradually, about half year after the 2 year warranty ended. I bought all because it worked with Homeassistant and it is a modular system so it can be expanded over time.
The termostats and valves are known to have unreliable eink displays and they used to take care of those and you could also find replacements. In my case the plastic housing failed on the first valve I bought and there aren't any replacements available. I suspect the frequent calibrations stress the mounting system.
Legrand braggs in their marketing about how they help the environment but utterly fail to be repairable. Now all I could do is find another valve with a broken screen and try to swap my screen into it. Not really an option.
In the end they offered me a discount code after I already bought a replacement from a local retailer because it is freaking winter in Europe with -10C outside.
So they kind of try but fail to help and as most other companies generate lots of e-waste.

This company cares for it customers. They quickly tried to resolve my issue even on Boxing Day.
After two years of usage, I now have a good overview of the product. The concept is quite interesting and the recent app update is pretty nice.
But their technology is outdated and unreliable. Their servers are regularly down. As a consequence, when it happens, it is not possible to adjust your heating anymore. It happened several times during winter that I wanted to disable the « Away » mode of my thermostat on my way home. But as their servers crashed, it was not possible. Even at home, it is not possible to disable it manually. As a result, you are left with no heating, sometimes several days in a row (we had to go and sleep at a hotel…).
When it works, it is a very nice product. Unfortunately, servers outages are more and more frequent, and their support is not reachable at all. Consequences of their unreliability are huge of course.
For this reason, I strongly advise against that brand.
