DO NOT TRUST NETCOINS

DO NOT TRUST NETCOINS – LOCKED FUNDS, UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT

Netcoins took funds from my account and failed to process or return them. My money was removed and despite completing multiple verification steps exactly as requested, they continued to delay and make excuses to keep my funds withheld.

This happened multiple times, repeatedly.

Customer support is male, slow, lazy, and rude. Responses take far too long and are filled with excuses, contradictions, and statements that do not meet basic financial service standards. There is no urgency, no accountability, and no transparency.

They do not care about their customers.

This is NOT how a legitimate financial platform operates. Access to customer funds should never be handled this casually or recklessly.
Their practices are questionable and I wouldn't doubt they are breaching data privacy laws too.

There are many similar complaints online describing locked accounts, missing funds, and customers being stolen from and ignored and data privacy concerns by NETCOINS

This points to a serious trust problem and should be a clear warning to anyone considering using Netcoins.

DO NOT USE NETCOINS

Do not trust them with your money.
The public should stay far away, and financial regulators should be paying close attention.

If you have been wronged by Netcoins, make sure to contact and follow up with Canadian financial regulators listed below:

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and delay you have experienced regarding your account and funds. We take these concerns very seriously and would like to provide clarity on our processes.

As a fully regulated Canadian crypto trading platform, Netcoins must adhere to strict FINTRAC and KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations. These mandates sometimes require additional verification steps or temporary account holds to ensure the security of all user funds and remain compliant with federal law. While these automated security flags are designed to protect our community, we understand they can be incredibly inconvenient when they affect legitimate transactions.

Regarding your experience with our support team, we strive to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and urgency. We are sorry to hear that our recent communication did not meet these expectations.

The worst Crypto platform in the world

The worst Crypto platform in the world. The worst support, the worst people and they are the devil itself. I tried for the first time ever to withdraw funds from my netcoins to my external wallet, and they blocked my transaction, blocked my account and did not let me get my money back. They stole my money. They are thieves. Take the money out and report as soon as possible.

We are genuinely sorry for the distress and frustration this situation has caused. We want to state clearly that Netcoins does not, and cannot, "steal" customer funds. As a fully regulated Canadian crypto-trading platform registered with provincial securities commissions, we are subject to regular audits and strict legal oversight to ensure the safety and integrity of all client assets.

When a withdrawal to an external wallet is blocked and an account is temporarily restricted, it is typically a protective measure triggered by our automated security systems. These protocols are designed to prevent unauthorized access and potential fraud, especially during a user's first withdrawal to a new external address. While these safeguards can be inconvenient, they are essential for maintaining the security of your holdings and complying with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.

I have been in the crypto space since 2017. I started using Netcoins in 2021 and have been very happy, and sent many friends to it. They look out for my best interest and freeze my account if they see something. Communication has been great.

Not the friendliest bunch

I needed a wallet/exchange and thought I found a good one with Netcoins. I had a few questions and the next thing you know, they ban me from holding an account with them at all. I wouldn’t recommend using these people at all. There’s lots of wallets out there better!

As a regulated Canadian platform registered with FINTRAC and provincial securities authorities, we prioritize rigorous security, AML compliance, and user protection. This sometimes requires enhanced reviews or account decisions for new or specific activity patterns, including restrictions on certain accounts to mitigate risks.

We understand how disappointing and frustrating an abrupt closure can feel, especially when you're simply looking for a reliable place to hold and manage crypto. While we can't comment on individual account details for privacy and compliance reasons, we're committed to fair processes and continually refine them based on feedback like yours.

Stay Away!

I read online that Netcoins was a decent Canadian crypto exchange for buying, selling, and transferring crypto, so I decided to give it a try. I’m 71 years old and already use Crypto.com and Coinbase without any issues.

I verified my account and deposited $1,500 CAD. When I purchased Bitcoin, the commission was roughly $30, leaving me with about $1,470 worth of BTC. I then attempted to withdraw the Bitcoin to my Exodus wallet, which I use to exchange to USDT since Netcoins does not offer stablecoins.

After over an hour stuck in “pending,” I received emails from Netcoins’ security team saying they needed to call me to verify my account. During the call, the representative asked for my age, birthday, name, and where I was sending the Bitcoin. I calmly explained that I was sending it to my own Exodus wallet and that I was not being scammed.

The agent said everything sounded fine and that the crypto would be sent. About 30 minutes later, I received an email stating that Netcoins had decided to close my account, without providing any reason or explanation.

I was forced to convert the Bitcoin back to CAD and withdraw it via Interac, which resulted in another commission of around $30. In the end, I received roughly $1,440 back. I lost money solely because their compliance department chose to close a brand-new account for undisclosed reasons.

This was a very poor experience. The process felt unfair, expensive, and dismissive, especially toward a senior simply trying to move funds to their own wallet. I would not recommend Netcoins to anyone who doesn’t like losing money due to arbitrary compliance decisions.

We're truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with Netcoins, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

As a FINTRAC-registered and CSA-compliant platform, we maintain strict security and compliance protocols to protect all users, which can sometimes lead to additional verification steps or account reviews, particularly for new accounts involving withdrawals to external wallets. While we cannot discuss specific account decisions due to privacy and security policies, we understand how frustrating this must have been, especially with the resulting fees and outcome.
