Ordered a very expensive piece of furniture in November. Waited until mid December for delivery. They only delivered 2 of the 3 boxes. Took a whole day to finally get through to customer service. Not... See more

Absolutely hopeless delivery, terrible customer service
I ordered 4 items online on 6th July, and they were supposed to be delivered for store pick-up on 11th July. Slow, but would have been OK. The order was subsequently split into 2 parcels and on the 11th July, the tracking showed that one parcel hadn't even left the warehouse. I contacted customer service on 12th July to see what was happening and they assured me that the 2nd parcel was definitely in the store and gave me a code to go and collect it. When I travelled in to the store, the parcel was not there and staff had no idea where it was. Got back to customer service (it takes forever to get a response in chat) and they said an error had been made and apologised. So far, so bad. They said I will have a collection notice within 24 hours. The 2nd parcel was now due on 16th July, 10 days after I ordered it. Today (13th July) I got an email to say that Next needed to talk to me about the delivery of my 1st parcel. When I got through to them, they informed me that my 1st parcel had been delivered to the wrong store in error and that it would now take an extra 5 working days for them to get it to the Henry Street store where it was supposed to go.
This is just unbelievably bad from start to finish and customer service just lie to you to get you off the chat. I discovered that I could have ordered the same goods at a lower cost and with next-day delivery from another website. This will be my future option. I will never shop with Next again
They make money, customer support ZERO and the refund in a joke
If you buy things online and sizes are wrong, the basically plays with the customer money, you cannot SWAP sizes, you have to pay a again and the refund takes more than 10 days. Last time I buy something here and there is not such a thing called sells in that stores. A candle in 30 euros... You do the math
Superb customer service
I have found Next online to have an absolutely superb customer service team.
I recently bought a bag online that never arrived, although DPD said they delivered it. It was very frustrating because I had planned it as part of an outfit for an upcoming family wedding. I contacted Next by phone . In two separate calls I got a human being at the other end of the line! Very rare these days. They could not have been more helpful, and arranged a refund. Previous buys have all arrived very quickly and as ordered. All round I have found Next to be exceptional.
Terrible customer service from the…
Terrible customer service from the manager at Next Tralee (Co. Kerry) on July 6th around 4 PM. I bought a pair of jeans on sale marked as €16.50. When I got home and checked the receipt, I saw I was charged €21.50. I went back to the store and was told there’s no way to get a refund because it was a sale item — absolutely ridiculous.
Also, I find it a very poor policy that gifts cannot be exchanged. If someone buys you something and you need a different size, the only option is to return it and the refund goes back to the person who bought it. There’s no way to simply exchange the item. Really disappointing brand experience.
Speedy Delivery
Ordered a Phase Eight Jumpsuit a Friday evening recently around 6pm and was delivered the next morning at 8.30 ... fab service thanks
Poor Delivery and Customer Service
This is the first and last time i use or order on next. The items is not delivered and we are in the 3rd week. you keep calling and they say they have no control over the delivery team in Ireland and cant do anything to help. An order that was supposed to be delivered in 3 days. Disappointing, frustrated , you have lost a customer for life.

I was buying trousers for my son and the lady that served me was so ignorant, no hello,no thank you, nothing.
I know we all have bad days, but this was too much, she was giving me dirty looks.
Definitely not coming back.
Seemless return policy
Seemless return policy. You get an email saying they received your items and to expect a refund.
Local drop off's are prefect, the shop print off the return.
Just make sure you don't throw out the return document inside your package.
Got a faulty item before, unfortunately the order must be cancelled and reordered again. Handy to have a replacement upon return of faulty item.
€2 delivery is great.
I was sent a blouse with the label…
I was sent a blouse with the label stitched through the front and back of the top so I couldn't wear it. I sent photos and contacted customer services and they advised me to return the item, and there is also a fee to return. Aside from that, I was expected to return it myself at a drop off point (none near my house) instead of them arranging a dpd collection to my house. Considering they sent me a garment that was unwearable due to a stitching problem, I expected the issue to be resolved by them without any hassle on my part. I was a regular customer but I won't be shopping with them again
Next Carrickmines Dublin Ireland ( an…
Next Carrickmines Dublin Ireland ( an important detail) has beautiful furniture
They have wonderful friendly staff and a good return policy for faulty items
The customer service dept is based in the UK and they have no idea what a Mickey Mouse company they have hired to deliver in Ireland
Delivery is free but I would happily pay more to have my very very heavy glass furniture (Sloane bedroom range) delivered to the room and unpacked and avoid all the stress
Next have chosen DHL to deliver furniture
Pieces that are marked fragile and heavy are slid along the floor or hit off wall art on the corridor ( not the poor lads fault as he should have had a helper) these were heavy fragile pieces and labelled as such
An easy ground floor delivery but the poor lad was on his own with no English , he had no note of the request for unpacking and he was bewildered
As an aside delivery window for DHL us from 8 to 4 ……. Eventually arrived at 4.30 ! Surely they could have organised delivery window into am and pm and as for the promise that the driver would call 30 mins before delivery well that didn’t happen either
Nothing is unpacked it is just drop and run
Even when you explain to customer service when they are organising delivery that you are older with mobility and back problems and they assure you that they will convey this to their chosen courier the poor young man who arrived to deliver what should have been a two man job on his own had no idea of the promises made by NEXT
Herein lies the problem
Next customer services based in the UK will tell you anything and promise the earth but this is not the experience delivered by their chosen delivery carrier
I was so incensed I refused to sign the delivery docket
I had a problem previously with another NeXT delivery and so I had chatted in store to the sales people before reordering and was assured that if I made it clear about my health issues everything would be fine
Well it wasn’t
Eventually the poor young man came back with someone who spoke English on his phone
I explained the agreement with NEXT and he said that the young man would unpack the items
He had no tools
I found myself alone with someone I didn’t know in my home handing him a bread knife
He proceeded to decimated the cardboard and I was anxious in case he cut too deep and damaged the furniture
One thing is for sure if there had been an issue nothing was going to fit back in the boxes as they were destroyed
I am older and done and won’t be replacing so thankfully no more worries for me but a word of warning unless you have a support system of an able hub or sons etc don’t rely on Next Ireland’s choice of furniture delivery (DHL) to actually deliver the piece of furniture you viewed in the showroom unpack it or even take away the copious packing
😔😔😔😔
AWFUL not user friendly app/website for an account holder…
The app/website for an account holder is shocking. It’s never clear, and they don’t allow you to see past order history in a clear precise way.. I have no idea what my past orders are, unless it was the last month. Why why why do they not make this crystal clear.
Months of stress - Avoid!
I had a truly awful experience purchasing a bed from Next Ireland. This occurred in December 2021 and I'm only just getting around to writing this.
The bed came in 3 different boxes. At first, ahead of schedule, they delivered 1/3 boxes. Because Next ship all furniture from the UK, calling up to rectify this meant a long wait time on the phone after calling an Irish number, then being put through to someone in the UK and waiting forever to talk to someone again.
Finally, they said they'd send the missing parts and apologized. They said they offer assembly of the bed too and would do it for free, and also offered me a 50 pound voucher. I told them can I have a 50 euro voucher because I'm in Ireland, and they said oh, we don't do that. And actually we only offer the furniture assembly in the UK too so sorry about that. Frustrating.
We ordered another, much cheaper bed from them around the same time which we did in a separate order. This bed had one box and was delivered correctly. However, when we received the corrected delivery of the first bed, they screwed it up again and were missing boxes again.
I had to repeat my phoning up and being put on hold. This time I rang the UK number first. The person who answered said, "oh you're in Ireland? You should call the Next Home Ireland number". When I called that, I had to wait again, was put through to the UK again, and had to wait for ages again to talk to someone.
Eventually, I got through to someone. They apologized and offered to collect the pieces which were delivered and would send out 3 new pieces to resolve everything. The mechanism for doing this in their system was to treat my first order as a refund, and to place a new order for the bed again. This led to disaster.
She couldn't actually take payment for my "new" order over the phone, though. For that, the accounts department would need to phone me. Sure - ok.
Someone from accounts phoned a few days later and I provided card details for payment. I had two historical orders because I bought two beds, and gave him the order number of the correct order. He even confirmed the order number and name of the bed.
Fast forward, I see in my account they've refunded me the right amount, but they charged me for the price of the cheaper bed. The difference was about 450 euro after converting from pound sterling (which of course, all these UK people were using.)
The bed finally arrived but my ordeal was far from over. I didn't chase them to pay the difference because each time I phoned, I lost 15-35 minutes waiting for someone to pickup the phone and it was their mistake to begin with. They did not try to schedule a time to phone me. Instead, someone would ring me every few weeks at random times and I either missed it or couldn't answer because I was at work.
Then I received a letter from a collections company threatening me with legal action and all kinds of stuff. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was their mistake. I tried phoning them again, waiting 20 minutes for someone to answer, to then put me through to someone else and wait another while for the next person.
This lady was expecting / waiting for me. She said they need the money or the collections company will do their thing. I had waited so long for this call to get through to the right person in the first place, then the line dropped mid-call. I had to ring up and wait another 20 minutes and ask for the same lady by name and was bounced around various people and had to wait each time just to continue the original call. Why didn't she just phone me back? (I had waited for her to do so.)
Back on the call, I told her she could have given me a chance, or you know, sent me an email about it? Why they do business like it's 1995, with everything over the phone and in pounds I don't know.
However, I couldn't just pay the difference because their system is not designed to take random lump some payments in euros. So what did I have to do? Go to my nearest Next store and buy 400 euros worth of gift cards. Then, call them back and read out the gift card numbers to them. For my trouble, they would knock 50 euro off the price (which was the original sweetener they offered when they had a simple screw-up of not sending all the boxes). To write off the 400 euro as their mistake seemed like it would make sense to me, but unfortunately they don't care about customers.
I bought the gift cards in my nearest Next store, which luckily was only ten minutes away. Then, I had to phone up the accounts folks, wait half an hour, be passed around again, just to explain that yes - someone from Next really did tell me to buy 400 euro worth of gift cards. Finally, they accepted it.
This is meant to be constructive. Answer the phones. Have a team in Ireland who can handle delivery logistics properly, take payment, use email, and answer phones. Offer restitution for stress caused that's not a slap in the face.
Shein provide better customer service than Next
I have been a Next customer for 20 years and can not believe the poor level of customer service that they now provide. I have been in contact with them on email for nearly one year about a refund receipt for £70 that was not legible after a few months as the ink had completely disappeared. Their advice was to contact my local store which I did, the team there were not only rude but disputed everything that the online team had told me and I now have resorted to contacting the online team again. However I am still waiting a reply for the last 2 weeks. Next used to be a leading British retail company, now I would rate Shein as better!
Very slow returns
Been shopping with Next for years without any issue but this time I returned two items of clothing which Next received on the 2nd of May, had to contact them today via web chat to get a refund issued. Thankfully all sorted now but it's put me off shopping there again!
Do not buy from next
Do not buy from next , it takes 3 weeks to get a refund.

I went into sligo quaysides next and i was served by Safina my total was €27.15 and i gave her 30 euro, she continued to say that she will give me change and I said okay not expecting to get 10 cents worth of 1 cent coins which are not usable i stood in shock as i looked at my hand with the change in it and looked at her and she walked away !
Great Customer service
Had an issue with a refund and emailed customer support for assistance. I found them to be very helpful and prompt and had my refund sorted in days.
Really appreciate their help.
Lost My Business Goodbye Next
Beware of Next
Use PayPal only for refunds
They aren't Reputable for refunds otherwise
I lost Over €100 because they obviously either mislaid or conveniently refuse to Refund My goods

Absolutely scammers! Returned a month ago a pair of trousers which were 3 sizes smaller than described on their website. No refund granded yet, even tho tracked parcel was delivered by anpost and their policy says 3-5 working days to expect the refund. Cannot recommend at all!!!
Cheaters!
Made purchase, arrived only 3 products instead of 4 that I paid for. No email adress to contact, option chat for assistance answered by bot that can't help.
