Great service, the nice man there even spoke impressive German. Would recommend.

After having read this review, Werner rang us and apologised for the lack of service and problems we've been having with our bike since we got the electric motor installed on the bike.
He said that they had a surplus of batteries (those that have gone out of production) and that he would keep one for us so that when our battery runs out (which it will, probably soon) we can use the new one that they've kept for us.
We appreciate that he reached out in this way to help to alleviate our frustrations to a degree, therefore I am changing the stars in this review from 1 to 2.

We bought our Nihola bike back in October 2015. A month later we decided to install an electric motor on the bike.
Ever since then we have had problem after problem with our bike. We need to take our bike back on average every two months in order to get something or another fixed. In the first year we had to get the back wheel replaced 5 times because the spokes kept coming out. The battery stops working approx 4 times a year but now the company that made the original battery has gone out of business so they cannot replace the battery as they did at the beginning when it stopped working.
Now there is nothing we can do - we're stuck with a bike that cost us more than 30,000DKK and we cannot sell it because we cannot provide any buyer with any sort of guarantee that it will continue to work as it should.
The next time the battery breaks down we just have to wait and hope that Nihola cykler will be able to do something to get it working again but we know that we cannot get a replacement. We expected Nihola to offer to change the battery system on the bike to the new battery system for free or for a huge reduction but we were not offered anything apart from a shrug of the shoulders. After spending 30,000 on a product, this is not the type of response that is acceptable when there is a massive fault in the product.
This is definitely not a bike that you can use for lifetime, which is what we assumed it was when we bought it.
Service at Nihola cykler is also not great, often there are long delays when we drop in our bike for it's regular fix up requirement and we are left without our mode of transport for days if not weeks wondering if, and when, they will get back to us.
We have stopped taking our bike here and bring it to Velohouse in Amerikaplads instead, even though they are not 'experts' with Nihola bikes they still do more and provide better service to try and solve our Nihola problems than Nihola cykler do.
I would not recommend Nihola cykler, especially if you want one with a motor as many people do, these days. If you buy this bike you are just buying years of problems and frustrations for yourselves.
