It works !

Bought a Toyota Yaris Cross in January 2025 and read about the underpowered 12 Volt Battery problems. Then purchased the Noco Boost Plus GB40 as insurance for those "just in case" moments.

Our next door neighbour also has a Yaris Cross and her bettery was flat yesterday. Tried the GB40 and it worked. Got the car going first time. Hopefully I'll never need it but it's there - just in case.

Really bad experience with Noco…

Really bad experience with Noco customer support. I bought 2 Noco Genius 1's because I have 2 cars in my garage. 1 worked and the other stopped working in a short period of time. Noco support emailed a troubleshooting guide, which I executed. Still the defective unit just flashed and did not maintain a charge. I asked if I could send it back and just kept getting degrading emails from Noco support like checking fuses, which was already on the troubleshooting guide. Noco does not stand behind their product.

NOCO GENIUS2 battery charger/maintainer

DO NOT PURCHASE
Late September 2024 I purchased a NOCO GENIUS2 charger/maintainer.
Upon arrival and testing, it failed repeatedly to automatically switch from all lights-on (charging) to only green-on (Maintenance), after the battery was fully charged, which means it was overcharging and damaging the battery, even possibly a safety hazard. Called NOCO and talked to 2 technicians, one resisted the evidence, the other one agreed to check the unit, but indicated that if it was OK, they would send it back (which seemed reasonable). They authorized the return (at my cost), would test the unit for three weeks and get back to me. Which they did, and indicated 2 diodes were no good, and sent me a new different serial number unit. It took a week to arrive, I tested it for about a week, and it consistently did the same malfunction, would not switch automatically to Maintenance after a full charge was reached. Long story short, the same thing happened a third time!
Given the ordeal, I contacted NOCO and requested a full refund, and they simply said NO, that they would only authorize sending a fourth new unit. To which I said, there is just no way that I am going to lose more of my time testing NOCO's inventory until I came upon a functioning unit. They should have tested and retested the second unit before shipping to me, but simply did not. So, it speaks very poorly of NOCO's quality control measures, and of their dismal customer service.
I decided to call Amazon and let them know what had transpired with NOCO, knowing that over four months had elapsed since the first unit arrived, but the person I talked to understood that NOCO’s attitude was not proper and authorized the full refund. So…. good job Amazon, and STAY AWAY from NOCO products. Save your money and the aggravation of having to deal with a company that is not interested in assuming responsibility for malfunctioning products they produced. As expected, "all things go well when there is no problem", but if there is an issue with a product, which is when the company should stand behind the brand, it does not happen. Simply put, DO NOT purchase products from NOCO. Three malfunctioning units in a row, is more than enough evidence of the poor quality of their products, of lack of adequate functional quality control, not to mention dismal customer support, most likely all three.

Moreover, if a company possibly has a different arrangement with Amazon about its warranty, returns and refunds (which NOCO was not willing to accept, only implied it), it should clearly say so in the Amazon description (and NOCO should verify it’s there) including implications to the customer, so he or she is aware before making the purchase decision; otherwise, this is flagrant false advertisement by NOCO.

Something that help me considerably to determine the malfunctions was: I used a digital voltmeter to determine battery voltage while charging and when it was fully charged; plus I was fortunate enough to have and test against another equivalent charging amperage charger of another brand, and it consistently switched from charging to maintenance when the battery reached a full charge.

Most expensive battery charger ever purchased £83, and most useless as cannot find out what Modes should be selected. Don't want to ruin my vehicle battery etc. Not impressed.

The worst investment in tools ever

The worst investment in tools ever. The gb40 was purchased in Belding Michigan at a parts plus auto parts. Product was worthless.. wouldn’t jump start anything bigger than a lawn mower. The solution was to pay the shipping to send it back to the manufacturer and wait for them to decide if it was out of specs. I will be filing a complaint with the better business as well. I have been a certified mechanic for over 30 years and by far my worst investment

SAFETY WARNING

SAFETY WARNING - fried fuses on my BMW M5

I purchased a NOCO charger with OBD charge cable.
Within a few seconds of connecting this to my BMW M5 F10, it blew the fuses including ECU. The windscreens wipers came on and wouldn't turn off, and nothing else worked. I had to remove and check 200 fuses, incl the ECU fuse which is one of the ones that had been fried. If the fuse hadn't done it's job quickly, this could have fried the ECU too, costing thousands to replace. I tried to contact NOCO for support through various channels but was ignored

It is supposed to be a safe charger, but it caused me a few hours of panic while I traced all the blown fuses, and was close to calling the dealer to get it transported for repair

Noco Genius 1 died 10 months from new - warrenty worthless.

Noco Genius 1 died 10 months from new. Contacted customer services for a warrenty claim. Was asked:
1) for proof of purchase and S/N - provided.
2) video of fault and picture of S/N on product - provided.
3) a photo of me having cut the cables along side product with S/N - told them to shove it.
Endless hoops to jump through! Why they need me to cut some worthless cables idk.
Warrenty is defacto worthless. Buy something else.

1 OR 0 IS FOR THE PROCESS I GAVE A two…

1 OR 0 IS FOR THE PROCESS I GAVE A two because the end result my battery was warrantied.
I started a return claim about April 1st 2024. A few emails went back and fourth most responses from NOCO where several days later. I eventually got frustrated when PAT did not return emails. Almost 30 days later i was informed NOCO would warrenty the battery and i would receieve a confirmation email. I waited a few more days for confirmation. I was forced again to call NOCO.
After a few frustrating calls a month of waiting I was informed they would ship me a battery. I live off the road and found it's better to add shipping notes to any shipment I receive and I receive several a month without issue. This allows the couriers to know exactly where I am. So I again called nocco to add shipping notes. When talking to them this time I found they had a wrong street number attached. I corrected that and asked to add the shipping notes. Confirmed all was correct and moved on.
Today MAY 2ND I get a call from FedEx today stating they needed a proper address. I asked fedex what address NOCO provided not only did not take my explicite shipping notes they had the wrong address that i corrected with them days earlier .So when I receive the battery tomorrow it will be over a month of trying to warranty a battery that could be done in 15 minutes in any store. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Blackview BV9300 pro is a brick..Weighs…

Blackview BV9300 pro is a brick..Weighs in at over 500 grams, The difference between this an a pound of butter is the phone doesn't melt. Side buttons are always in the way, NFC, control is smack dab in the middle of the unit so you cannot put a mag plate there, not that that matters as it would fall off due to the weight. The weight comes from the battery, obviously, 15k + has to weigh at least 512g.
But is the battery size worth it? As I write it has used 13% of the fully charged battery in 11 hours, and will take equally as long to charge up again. I don't think I could give this away in good conscience ☹️.
I am only here because I couldn't find a review input on Noco Site, Great delivery, great transfer of cash, lousy product.
