Just finished an absolute incredible experience in Norway with Nomad Mountaineering.
The trip was lead by 2 guides who are just world class in their field of work. Myself and the team were educated, tested and supported to the summit of each mountain we conquered. The new skills I have been shown will come with me to the next expedition I book on to with them. A excellent company to advance in all outdoor expeditions and survival skills. Could not recommend highly enough.

What can I say, a fantastic experience with a great bunch of people, lead by two incredible individuals. Just finished the Land of the giants and would absolutely recommend. Definitely not easy, but definitely worth it. Will booking again with Nomad soon.

Have completed a Winter Skills Day and a 3 day remote expedition with Nomad and both were absolutely fantastic. I'm not the fittest or most experienced but Mac managed to coordinate all skill levels and abilities into a cohesive format with no pressure.

In a moment of madness I signed up for the Fisherfield Expedition to the most remote Munros of Scotland. It was my first time wild camping under the stars and all my anxieties were eased by Mac and the Nomad team who were so supportive and encouraging. The expedition was well planned and all the instructors were very knowledgeable and experienced which made the whole trip such a memorable experience. I would have no doubts booking another trip with Nomad Mountaineering.

Have been on a few courses with Nomad Mountaineering, from winter skills courses to climbing the Cuilins in Skye and a 30 mile hike through the Cairngorms in winter time.
An absolutely terrific company to learn your skills from, every guide I’ve been with on the trips have been brilliant and there knowledge is unbelievable.
Highly recommend Nomad Mountaineering as a company and I will be on many more trips in the future.

Outstanding company, great people and expertise to match. Nomad led a 21 mile charity hike i was on last year and their professionalism and hospitalty throughout were second to none. I also purchased their Fasgadh tent and it is 10/10.

Having worked alongside Nomad and witnessed the behind-the-scenes effort that goes into their courses, I can confidently say the quality is exceptional. The calibre of instructors is second to none—knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about what they do. It’s been genuinely inspiring to watch participants grow in confidence and skill, walking away with a real sense of achievement. These courses don’t just teach outdoor skills—they build resilience, connection, and lasting memories. Absolutely fantastic to see.

I had an amazing experience with the Nomad Mountaineering team during the Ben Nevis Winger Skills course. Everything was well organised and I felt like I was in safe hands the whole time! Definitely recommend

Been on a couple expeditions with nomad now , and each time hasn’t disappointed so much have a third coming up this year , well organised , great communication , would highly recommend for anyone wanting learn , or have a new experience that won’t be matched

Just returned from Fisherfield expedition with Nomad Mounteneering. So far it was the biggest challenge in my life and Mac, George and Claire made it happen. They are confident and supportive guides, know every path which you might not attempt if you are there on your own (at least I wouldn’t).
The amount of support they provide is also beyond great. You are never left alone even if going last, George, the most patient man on earth, will always be somewhere close and no word of frustration for slowness is ever spoken, only words of encouragement. This was invaluable at times. Also can’t forget that at a section of tough (for me) scrambling where I panicked, Mac and George just appeared there, tied a rope around my waist and helped me go through this section.
I highly recommend Nomad Mounteneering, not only because they are knowledgeable guides but also for the amount of support, compassion and friendliness they offer.

I joined Nomad Mountaineering for the Fisherfield Expedition, which was one of the hardest hikes I’ve done. It’s not something I would have attempted alone, but with their support, I felt safe and reassured throughout. The team planned everything well and executed it with care. A tough experience made manageable thanks to their guidance.

Have been on two trips with Nomad. Climbing and abseiling day in Dartmoor, and on the remote expedition to Fisherfields. Both awesome events. The prep phase was great, especially the kit list recommendations. The instructors were keeping me well informed and I felt completely safe at all times. Mac and George shared some great knowledge along the way regarding the kit and the terrain, as well as keeping a keen eye on everyone’s wellbeing. We were getting a great moral support at times when the route was getting more challenging.

Would definitely go for another one and highly recommend checking out the website and instagram page for the upcoming events. There is lots of stuff throughout the year for various levels of challenge.

Have now been on two remote expeditions with Mac and the team, one in winter conditions. Both great experiences. A fantastic read of people and their different needs. Lots of little tips and learning experiences within the adventures.
Also purchased one of his tents, really impressive design, very packable and light.

I’ve just returned from an expedition with nomad mountaineering and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, I felt completely safe and well looked after which is such a huge thing when you’re out in the wild.

The guides were knowledgeable, calm, and clearly experienced. You could tell they genuinely cared about our comfort and safety, which made it easy to relax and really take in the beauty around us. Both camp spots were absolutely stunning with water source and just the most breathtaking views.

Waking up to crisp mountain air and golden sunrises felt like a dream. Even in the more challenging moments!

If you’re considering doing something similar, don’t hesitate – I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Joined mac/ nomad mountaineering for the 2025 fisherfields exped and I was honestly delighted with the sheer professionalism and execution of the trip! Mac and the support team were there every step of the way helping those in need and they made us feel like a group of friends right from the start!
I would highly recommend them!
