Nomorobo is as USELESS as FTC Do Not Call Registry! Sadly, despite using Nomorobo, their program can only block few numbers (which means peace & quiet, but only a few months). After that, somehow... See more
I'd bet that Nomorobo is responsible for the many robots calls we've been getting. It's like the Mafia secretly sending thugs to beat and rob you daily. Then the Mafia comes round to offer you prote... See more

Doesn't work
I wish I could give it less than 1 star. It blocks, at most, 1 in 20 or 30 spam calls. Virtually useless.
Signed up yesterday and I have received…
Signed up yesterday and I have received more calls this morning than on any other day. Junk!!!!
Robo Calls Are a Bane to Humanity!
I was getting so many calls per day before I started with Nomorobo. Now, I may get one every couple of weeks or so. The people complaining may be using the free version, which will probably only help so much. I pay a little over $2 a month for almost total peace and quiet.
Service hasn't been blocking calls
After many months of calls being blocked, we're finding that very few calls are being blocked now. We are considering dropping NoMoRobo unless things improve radically in the next 2-3 weeks. Dec.8.21
Used this service for 8 months, it never blocked a robocall
Used this service for 8 months. Nomorobo was not successful in blocking robocalls, I would still receive 10+ per day. Each one I would "report" to Nomorobo but the next day I'd get another 10 calls. This went on for 8 months.
I'm finally done. This app doesn't work, save your money.
We only have it for our landline
We only have it for our landline. Thank goodness we never signed up for our cell phones. I'd hate to be paying for such lousy service. For example: We got 8 robo calls yesterday and Nomorobo didn't catch any of them. If they catch one a week, it's a lot. Even when Verizon marks the call as a spam risk it doesn't catch it. When it does catch one, it still rings once. We don't even answer our phone anymore unless we know the number or the caller talks to the machine and it turns out to be the doctor's office or something like that.
Absolutely horrible customer service…
Absolutely horrible customer service and a terribly un user-friendly website
Terrible
Terrible. I get about 5 or 6 spam robo calls every day. Nomorobo blocks one call every third day or so. However It still rings when they block it (how i know it's blocking), so even when it works, it doesn't really work all that well. Lame technology. Misnomer. Waste of time mostly.
I thought Nomorobo was a good company. I should have looked here first.
I signed up my landline for Nomorobo a week ago with high hopes that some of the robo calls would be stopped. Today I received 7 of them and in addition I am now getting a bunch of emails (I had to enter my email address to sign up) from things like a man from Nigeria who wants to give me millions of dollars and a few that are only partially in English. My email was relatively clean before. Coincidence?? I am sorry I signed up and sorry I gave them my real email.
Waste of money
I signed on for this service thru apple 3 months ago.In that time frame I have received at least 50 robocalls. Nomorobo was able to block 3 of these calls. My biggest mistake was signing on for a year. I should have listened the online reviews.
This used to work great
This used to work great, but now it doesn’t block ANY calls. Not sure what happened, but I can no longer recommend this service.
Simply fails to block calls...
We are a Spectrum user that has Nomorobo enabled (I tested it). Over last two weeks, not one of the 20+ robo calls were blocked - all 20 got through.
I log each call with Nomorobo but the service is VERY BAD!
Up until a while ago . . .
Up until a while ago, NoMoRobo was great. Completely cleared robo and SPAM calls on my line. While on the main house line 1 out of 11 calls were legit. We subscribed to the phone companies blocking, this was before Spoofing, which only allowed 25 blocks a month. Got a new phone system that could block 35 callers. Still not enough. I moved that line to a VoIP service that was affiliated with NMR and between the two, the calls virtually stopped.
That was until "Spoofing" came about. Now I'm getting calls on my private line that has been clean for years. The other line gets more since its not been with NMR as long.
I came here today to see if NMR was affiliated with our upcoming new VoIP service. Not sure yet. So I'm kinda weary of what they use to combat the new "Spoofing". Of which being ex-telco, I can see how difficult this is. I pick up the phone now waste their time and that's the best way to get on their "real" Do Not Call lists. Since they no longer observe the "official" government list which is not enforced. Plus sometimes it's fun.
Worthless
Worthless. Does nothing. Still receive 5-10 robocalls every day.
they do not block any robo calls…
they do not block any robo calls getting more call now that I signed up
Used to be more effective
I commend the developer for the effort it took to provide this free landline service and to win the FTC Robocall Challenge, and launched in 2013. However, the technology used is less effective now because of the emergence in the last several years of Neighbor spoofing. The scammers are always one step ahead in their craftiness. One reviewer here was confused when they searched a call number and found that the number belonged to Nomorobo. Nomorobo is set up with a fail-safe to allow a call from a real person to actually be able to get through if Nomorobo has incorrectly identified as a scam call, Nomorobo founder Aaron Foss said in an interview.
“It would be pretty dangerous to not let humans through if Nomorobo accidentally misidentifies a phone number,” Foss said. “So, we make the person prove they’re not a robocaller and then send the call back to them with our caller ID.”
If a call is blocked because Nomorobo believes it’s a robocall, the caller will hear: “This phone is protected by Nomorobo. In order to prove you’re not a robocaller, please enter the number …” The caller is asked to enter the randomly provided number. If the number is provided correctly, the call will go through. But it will show up on the receiver’s end as coming from 608-371-6666, no matter where they’re calling from.
If you don't understand this you might think Nomorobo is the perpetrator. Nomorobo is legitimate, and was ahead of the pack, but newer technology will have to be implemented to keep ahead of the scammers.
Doesn't block much
Nomorobo doesn't block much. I still get spam every day. If you look at their website, they only claim to block about 4 million spam numbers, which is probably less than 1% of the spammers out there.
It's also very strange that Google doesn't know anything about Nomorobo's developers. Who knows--they could even be spammers themselves.
Too many scam robocalls
Too many scam robocalls. Verizon FIOS uses Nomorobo as a free service for landline phones. While it was once mostly effective, Nomorobo no longer offers much protection. Scam callers can circumvent the lagging Nomorobo technology. Nomorobo's list of robocallers seems obsolete if scam callers can use spoofed phone numbers that are readily changed. I have reported service issues to Nomorobo support and received no response.
Some of your robocalls are coming from…
Some of your robocalls are coming from NOMOROBO itself....yep that's right. I tried the service for a month. After signing up I RECEIVED MORE ROBOCALLS than before. I cancelled and now I receive robocalls daily. Once this company has your number you're a target. Let me tell you how I found out. I received a robocall, searched the number, and the first result was NOMOROBO website showing the number which called my phone. In other words, they robocall people to get them to sign up. They use the ol' backdoor technique to get your business. Dishonest company...avoid giving them your number.
total WASTE of money
total WASTE of money. Nothing gets stopped. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
